    Hi, I have followed the documentation in https://developer.mozilla.org/En/Developer_Guide/Source_Code/Mercurial And I have download FF source using this: hg clone http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/ src But how can i switch to the FF3.6 'branch' or 'tag'? The documentation said 'hg clone http://hg.mozilla.org/releases/mozilla-1.9.2/ 192src' but I don't want to clone both FF main and Ff3.6 twice? Thank you.

    Do you place any limits on the size of Apache log files - access.log and error.log? Specifically, can you give: Reasons to limit log file sizes Disk space Any other? Reasons NOT to limit log file sizes Research into performance issues or security breaches Any other? Methods of doing so Cron job that periodically deletes the file, or the first N lines? Any other? Anything you might salvage before deleting For example, grep out how many times a file was downloaded before deleting the access logs I'd like get the thoughts of experienced sysadmins before I do anything.     I tried to switch from Java 5 to Java 6 using the "update-java-alternatives" command like explained on this page: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Java But afterwards I get the following error when I tried to execute java: root@webserver:~# java Error occurred during initialization of VM Could not reserve enough space for object heap Could not create the Java virtual machine. I also tried to reinstall the java binaries using "apt-get" but I didn't succeed reinstalling it. I would like to post the "apt-get" errors, but unfortunately I don't know how to print out the error messages in English and not in German. My system is a Ubuntu 8.04 ROOT server.

    Avast has added something to their software which Google Chrome tip whenever it informs you of an database update: It seems to only be the same message at the moment, as I am only getting the Search with Google right from the address bar to save time. Try Now: How can I stop it from giving me this tip and only show me the virus definitions have been updated message? Your virus definitions have been automatically updated I have tried looking under Settings > Popups, however I cannot find an option to disable it there. I tried these settings that is in my answer In the avast! settings interface there is an option to turn off recommendations and tips: Settings Community Edit: It doesn't seem to work anymore, it worked for the next 2 database updates and now it is showing the tip again.

We have three ways of saving sensitive data in these packages : not storing them at all storing them with a user key storing them with a password However, each of these options is inconvenient while testing packages saved and committed by an other developer. For each such package, one has to update the credentials, no matter how the sensitive data was persisted. Is there a better way to collaborate on SSIS packages?

    Has anyone taken the vmware certified professional exam? I was wondering if I can just take this class: http://mylearn1.vmware.com/mgrreg/courses.cfm?ui=www&a=one&id_subject=10103 or would I need to do additional studying on my own? I'm a developer with limited server experience. I'm aware of the technologies but haven't worked with them directly. If so - what kind of "Stream" reader should I use? I have also read something about "intents" - is this something that is applicable here? I am also curious as to what should one do if connection gets interrupted - can I resume the download somehow or restart it? Any tips?

Currently I'm only testing in iPhone simulator, I'm going to buy the apple $99 developer thing soon. It doesn't log "accelerated!!1", but I'm guessing that's because I'm not running it on an actual device yet?

  • msys+mingw - is there installer or at least .tar.lzma/.zip?

    I try to install n'th time the msys+mingw - however with little success. I need the minimal developer system (standard tools such as sed/awk+autotools+gcc) however each time something is not working (for example currently when I try to run autotools m4 goes into some error loop on AC_INIT). I know they stopped providing installer 'for easy update of components' and they are working on something but maybe there is something unofficial.
