• cisco 6500 crash enabling netflow

  Hello everyone, i have a cisco 6503 running IOS 12.2(33)sxi5 and i'm trying to enable netflow. Following the instructions here http://www.manageengine.com/products/netflow/help/cisco-netflow/cisco-ios-netflow.html enabling for interface vlan 3, shortly after ip flow-export version 5 console outputs: CPU_MONITOR-6-NOT_HEARD: CPU monitor messages have not been heard for 30 seconds crashlog here: http://pastebin.com/Niv2H8xD it then writes a crash log and reloads the router. • Quantifying the effects of partition mis-alignment

  I'm experiencing some significant performance issues on an NFS server. I've been reading up a bit on partition alignment, and I think I have my partitions mis-aligned. I can't find anything that tells me how to actually quantify the effects of mis-aligned partitions. Some of the general information I found suggests the performance penalty can be quite high (upwards of 60%) and others say it's negligible. What I want to do is determine if partition alignment is a factor in this server's performance problems or not; and if so, to what degree? So I'll put my info out here, and hopefully the community can confirm if my partitions are indeed mis-aligned, and if so, help me put a number to what the performance cost is. Server is a Dell R510 with dual E5620 CPUs and 8 GB RAM. There are eight 15k 2.5” 600 GB drives (Seagate ST3600057SS) configured in hardware RAID-6 with a single hot spare. RAID controller is a Dell PERC H700 w/512MB cache (Linux sees this as a LSI MegaSAS 9260). OS is CentOS 5.6, home directory partition is ext3, with options “rw,data=journal,usrquota”. • how to change appearance of org-mode files on Github?

  Github supports org-mode files, and has a renderer that parses .org files and converts them to HTML form. Headings appear in larger font, text tables are converted to graphical HTML tables, etc. Is there a way to control the way .org files appear on Github? I tried adding some export options in the usual manner #+OPTIONS: H:2 toc:t but the options are not reflected. Is this possible? If not, is there a workaround to display org-mode files through Github?

• APC switched rack PDU: Startup outlet state

  I have an APC Switched Rack PDU powering a number of servers in a remote datacentre. After a recent power outage, I noticed that the outlets did not automatically default to the On status once power was restored. Having reviewed the Web UI, I cannot find this option. I'm not certain of the model number (it doesn't appear to be visible in the Web UI), but I think it's this one. Is it possible to configure these PDU units to automatically power outlets after a cold start?

I haven't found a straightforward answer in the docs, yet. Is there a recommended way to do this? In general, how do I tell puppet to place this file there or modify that file? I'm using puppet for a single node (in standalone mode) just to try it out and to keep a log of the server setup.

• How to find polarity of a power supply that's lacking the customary markings

  If I have a power supply (not a computer power supply, just a battery-replacing wall wart) and it doesn't have the usual polarity marking, how to I know if the tip is positive or negative? Update: I couldn't find my multimeter. I did find a model number on the power supply and typed it into Google. Some guy selling a bunch of power supplies on eBay had checked it and found that it was tip positive, which is what I needed!

• Running Webapp on Mac in UTC (either changing MacBook timezone or tomcat timezone)

  To run my web app, I need to set my timezone to UTC on my MacBook. I can do this temporarily by opening a Konsole and entering sudo ln -sf /usr/share/zoneinfo/UTC /etc/localtime However, my timezone returns to normal when I restart my machine! Any advice? Edit : The response to this question by 'Celada' implies that I can just make my Server UTC. I am using Apache Tomcat 7. Adding to Celada's response, how can I make it UTC? Update - 3rd April : Following Celada's response, I have tried adding SetEnv TZ UTC at the top of startup.sh. This didn't seem to make a difference. After some research, I tried adding export JAVA_OPTS="-Duser.timezone=UTC" to startup.sh, but this too had no effect. Am I adding the correct command to the correct file?

I couldn't start my host so I reinstalled it and configured as new Hyper-V server. My VM was in a another disk to prevent this happening but I don't know how to add it as a new VM on new server. • Moving MODx Files to Other MODx Website

  I have one website with modx installed to www.website.com/modx/ --- Keep in mind there are other Websites In Progress on this storage server. My issue is that I'm moving all this: templates, template variables, chunks, snippets, etc to another server that already has modx installed in it. My first instinct is to go to phpMyAdmin and export the sql file and import them to the new website's server. However, an error occurred when I attempted to do this. It had found many duplicates in fields that were associated a PK (due to it being the same website just a redesign). I don't have to go and dump the table of the oldsite and then upload the new sql file do i? Please advise.

  I need to start using GIT for my projects from now on and I need to use some UNIX commands. but no matter what I do, I always receive "command not found" error. • SQL Import to update existing records?

  I've got a table in a database that contains costs for items that gets updated monthly. To update these costs, we have someone export the table, do some magic in excel, and then import the table back to the database. We're running MSSQL 2005 and using the built in SQL Management Studio. The problem is that when importing back into the table, we have to delete all the records before we import or else we'll get errors. The ideal situation would be for the import to recognize the primary keys and then update the records instead of trying to create a second record with a duplicate key- halting the import. Is something like this possible with the built in tools or do we have to get third party software to make it happen?

• Importing photoimpact .ab3 file database into another album program

  I have Photoimpact Album v5 which has now maxed out at 65,000 photos with database information. I can export the database and file information to a csv or dbase 4 file but I cannot find any way to import the information to a competative Photo Organization/Database product like Adobe Lightroom, ACDSee Pro3 or Photo Collector, etc... which is more modern, will work on Vista/Windows7, and not have any file limitations. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I really cannot reinput data information for 65,000 photos manually. I would use any good software that I can transfer my files and data ifno to.

I just want me and my wife to be able to post to it and then share with grandparents and friends. I'm at the start so I would like a platform (blogger, wordpress, ...) that has these features and that also allows export of the data (if one day I want to migrate to a different platform). I've been trying out blogger which allows you to have a private blog. But when I upload images they get stored in a hard to guess URL but are otherwise public. Are there better options to this? For videos I think I am happy with embedding Vimeo videos since they ask for a password to be viewed but I am open to suggestions.

• How can I download a phpbb forum with wget including password protected sections?

  I want to make a download of a forum I moderate, before it closes for good. There's some useful info on it I want to save for myself and I don't want to export the data to another webserver, I just want the pages. Mind you, I'm a user at the forum, not the admin. Now, I googled this and found it can be easily done with wget: How can I download an entire (active) phpbb forum? I used: wget -k -m -E -p -np -R viewtopic.php*p=*,memberlist.php*,faq.php*,posting.php*,search.php*,ucp.php*,viewonline.php*,*sid*,*view=print*,*start=0* -o log.txt http://www.example.com/forum/ I experimented with this, but I can only achieve downloading the publicly visible sections, not the sections you have to log in for. I tried to achieve this by using a Firefox plugin to make a cookies.txt (while my session is logged into the forum) and add --load-cookies file cookies.txt to the command, but still I only get the publicly visible sections. Any suggestions to make this work?

Does it matter what model I get, or is it such that I can just buy whatever happens to be on sale today? Are there advantages to a certain brand over another? • DPMS, keep screen off when lid shut

  I have a laptop running linux. In my xorg configuration, I have DPMS setup so that the screen automatically turns off during several events. Here's my issue. When I close the lid of the laptop, the screen goes off as expected, but if a mouse event occurs (like if something bumps into the table...) then the screen turns back on even though it is closed (I can see the light through the side of the laptop). Is there a way to prevent the screen from turning on during a mouse event if the lid is closed?

  So I've got a Ruby on Rails application that I am trying to run (in development) on Snow Leopard. I've got it working on my Ubuntu computer, but now I need to get my Snow Leopard environment set up. Originally, I installed the MySQL 2.8.1 Ruby Gem and was running into this issue: uninitialized constant MysqlCompat::MysqlRes But thanks to this tutorial I was able to resolve it by running this command and installing a previous version of the Gem: export ARCHFLAGS="-arch i386 -arch x86_64" ;sudo gem install --no-rdoc --no-ri -v=2.7 mysql -- --with-mysql-dir=/usr/local/mysql --with-mysql-config=/usr/local/mysql/bin/mysql_config Now that I've resolved that issue, I'm running into a different error: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' This happens when I try to run rake db:migrate as well as when the server is running. How can I resolve this issue?
