  I have a button control. Once the user clicks on it, the click event should fire and then the button should get disabled. How can I do this? I have the option to use JQuery or JavasSript or both. Here is my button declaration: <asp:Button ID="Button1" runat="server" Text="Click Me" onclick="Button1_Click" /> On the button click code behind, I have added a Response.Write(). That should get executed and then the button should be disabled

• Magento - Add a button to system.xml with method attached to it

  Hi, I have created a module that has an "export like" method running regularly as defined in my module's cron area of the config.xml file. But I'd like to give the user the ability to run this export method on demand by adding a "Run now" button in the system configuration, thus using the system.xml file. It seems that the "frontend type" button may be working as I've tried and it adds a tiny clickable button in the config section. But I am not able to attach a method nor a label on the button itself. I thought about adding a button in the "Grid.php" file of the module but this not what I'd like to do as it does fit with my acl. Below is my system.xml file with the "button" frontend type. • Enabling all buttons in a repeater except for the clicked one

  I have a Repeater Control with various buttons in it. When the button gets clicked, it needs to disable itself so it cant be clicked again. Working. However, when I click that button, it needs to enable any other button but it. So, When I click on it, it needs to disable. When I click on another one, the previous button must enable, and that one must disable.   I'm trying to add a "green team" to an example scoring GUI I found online. For some reason, the code compiles, but it runs with only the original two teams. I've tried playing around with the sizes/locations somewhat clumsily, and since no change was observed with these modications (NO change at ALL), I admit that I must be missing some necessary property or something. • Firefox 3.6 Kiosk mode

  I've developed a FF 3.6+ only web app that needs to run in kiosk mode. I has assumed that since nearly every other browser has a built in kiosk switch FF would have this too. I haven't been able to find this. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Command_line_arguments does not have a kiosk mode listed. R-Kiosk doesn't work in FF 3.6. Apparently their is a new "experimental" version of R-Kiosk (v0.8.0) but I can't find it anywhere. Does anyone know of anyway to put Firefox in kiosk mode? I'd be especially great if the solution forced full screen, hid all toolbars and context menus, disables (Ctrl+) Alt + * combos, and disables "Windows Key" + * combos.

  I discovered that in IRST there is an option to set a cache mode for my 3 ssd raid 0 array. I've read the documentation by Intel and have some questions: Are there any overall benefits/risks from enabling cache mode? As I'm on a laptop, would write back be recommended? I read it increases chance of data loss on power interruption. What is the difference between how windows handles data integrity and the intel driver? Read only mode seems to have the benefit of faster reads, does it have any downsides? Thanks for your help guys!

  I think that my mup.sys file is corrupt. I received the following error when trying to access a network share that was located on my Windows 7 box, from my Windows XP box: No network provider accepted the given network path. After reading this I attempted to follow the directions by rebooting my computer into safe mode. After I run "sfc /scannow" I receive the following error message: The specific error code is 0x000006ba [The RPC server is unavailable]. When I go into Services, it says that the Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service is running but that the Remote Procedure Call (RPC) Locator is not running. When I try to start the Remote Procedure Call (RPC) Locator, it gives me an error saying: Error 1084: This service cannot be started in Safe Mode What can I do about this? If it can't find the Remote Procedure Call service in safe mode?

• Command line mode only -- successful login only brings me back to login screen

  whenever I log in the screen goes black, I see a glimpse of terminal-esque text, and then it brings me back to the log in screen (Ubuntu 12.04). I can enter and log in via the command line. The guest account works find. I think this happened because I edited some Xorg related file trying to make an external monitor work with my laptop. I copy pasted from a forum post so I dont recall the file or what i put in the file. Can't find the forum post again and my bash history wasn't recorded from that session. I tried reinstalling Xorg and ubuntu-desktop, nvidia, resetting any configs I could find... I'm really at a loss of what to do.   We've had a child DC fail on us, and can't get into Windows on it as Directory Services is failing. A restore of the backed-up active directory hasn't worked due to a corruption, and so we've decided to demote the child DC and - for now - run AD from the PDC only. However, dcpromo /demote doesn't work from Safe Mode or Directory Services Restore Mode. We don't want to do a complete reinstall, as we have Exchange running on the child DC. Anyone know how (if?) we can demote the DC within safe mode or otherwise get into windows? Thanks

• teamviewer in "client only" mode

  I have a remote PC with the teamviewer on it. I want to use my local teamviewer installation only for connecting to that remote PC, and I don't want any services (teamviewerd) running on my local Ubuntu 14.04. I've tried to disable the service by doing sudo teamviewer --daemon disable but after that I'm not able to connect to the remote PC, because teamviewer reports an error "The Teamviewer daemon is not running!" on start, and I'm not able to access the gui. Is there a way to connect to the remote PC with teamviewer with no teamviewerd running?

  I'm running ntpd server in my ubuntu (10.04) machine. • Dual mode 802.11n PCI adapters

  I have recently bought a DLink DIR-825 router. It is a dual mode (2.4GZ & 5GHZ) 802.11n wireless access point/router. What is a good PCI adapter to pair with it? DLink appear to only make one dual mode adapter, which is the DWA-160 USB adapter. They don't seem to have a PCI adapter in their range, which seems very strange. Do any of the other network manufacturers make a good dual mode adapter?

  I was wondering how to encrypt my external HDD so that my data would be safe AND accessible from any OS platform (Windows and Linux). So I went through many posts and forums and found out the best thing was to use true crypt. I went along with this post and encrypt my USB drive. When inserted that, Windows didn't recognize it. Then I followed another post that said to install truecrypt. The thing is : How can i use traveler disk setup in Ubuntu (Option not found)? Install truecrypt in USB so that i can *mount my USB or HDD on any other OS? If there is no solution for the upper two, then is there any other software which I can use to encrypt an USB device so that it can be accessed from any OS?

• TweetMeme Button or Template Plug-In for WLW

  In my search for a way to allow readers to tweet post that I put on GWB I have come across the TweetMeme plug-in for Windows Live Writer.  It automatically puts a twitter button at either the top or bottom of your post depending on how you configure it.  It comes with a warning that it does not work with blog servers that strip out script from posts which I made me afraid it was going to make it incompatible with GWB.  This turned out to be the case so I figured we would need either an upgrade to the GWB platform or writing my own WLW plug-in.  In comes the Template plug-in.  This allows you to have standardized content that you can insert with a couple of clicks via the interface below. This solved the problem (sort of).  It required that I remove the standard javascript that is defined by Twitter’s button page.  In the end I am hoping for an update to our Subtext implementation to incorporate features like Facebook, Twitter, Reddit and G+, but this should help us until that comes along. How can I modify this script so that if I run bridge_script --stop, the bridge gets deleted, network manager starts and interfaces behave as if the machine had a fresh reboot.

  Let me just say thanks in advance. I am having issues getting google-chrome browser into full KIOSK MODE with no browser bar on a linux platform Looking through the google forums I have found numerous postings on how to get Chrome to show full kiosk mode BUT tried to execute with --kiosk but doesnt seem to get the job done. I dont know if this is platform specific or not, but any useful information would help. I know F11 will display the browser in full kiosk mode, with no browser bar BUT is there a way to do this with a linux script and no need for a monkey pressing F11??

• Why eclipse is hanging while in debug mode ?

  We are developing our web application using JAVA GWT framework. We are using Eclipse Indigo as a development GUI. We are facing problems while debugging the JAVA gwt application in eclipse. Most of the time, Eclipse hangs while debugging. We tried to increase the memory buffer size in eclipse but no luck. We had tried to run the eclipse in various environment like Windows, Fedora 16, Cent OS. but some how not getting positive results. Can anyone help me out to decide which OS, and eclipse or version should we have to use so can able to resolve the hanging issue? Thanks in advance. Pratik

• Gray "apply" button in NetworkManager openvpn connection window

  I installed all the necessary packages for the networkmanager-openvpn function to function. The openvpn-connection-setting are successfully imported into the networkmanger via the conf file but the apply button is grayed out, so that actually saving and using the connection isn't possible? Does anyone know, where the problem is? It's a fresh install of Ubuntu 10.10 after the upgrade from 10.04 sent the networkmanger down the drain. I was told the following: Sounds like a policy issue. read this thread: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1616355 look carefully in the file mentioned, at the element. What is there ? "No" will cause the action detailed to be unavailable. Ideally "yes" or "auth_admin_keep" should be there. They will either allow all access, or prompt for a admin password. The above does not seem to work for me - It still has a gray apply button. If I choose a file for User certificate as well as CA Certificate "which is all openvpn supplies and needs" and a key file it will allow me to click apply - but obviously wont connect. :l I am at a lost end.
