    I know i can simulate a memory warning on the simulator by selecting 'Simulate Memory Warning' from the drop down menu of the iPhone Simulator. I can even make a hot key for that. But this is not what I'd like to achieve. I'd like to do that from the code by simply, lets say doing it every 5 seconds. Is that possible?

    I am working on a notification system in my iPhone game and want an image to pop up on the screen and automatically fade after 2 seconds. User clicks a button that calls the method "popupImage" An image appears on the screen in a designated spot, it doesn't need to fade in The image fades out by itself after being on the screen for 2 seconds.   • Is there a library / api for reading the contents of a .hlp help file?

    I have a help file for my program and was asked to add a description of the menus in a toolbar as the user browses them. So I thought I could just use the beginning of the menu's description of the help but just cant find how to access the contents of it. I saw WinHelp has a macro language, so I figured maybe through this, but I couldnt find any references on this around. Anybody now some pointers or examples of hot to do this?

I have the parent's height explicitly set, but I can't get #main-sub-content 's height to 100%.     In Haskell, there is a function "take n list" which returns the first n elements from a list. For example "sum (take 3 xs)" sums up the first three elements in the list xs. Does F# have an equivalent? I expected it to be one of the List-functions, but I can't spot anything that seems to match.

  • Canvas total width (visible width + hidden scrollable part)

    It's probably a no brainer, but I've spent the last 40 minutes or so looking for it to no avial. I have a Canvas control with a fixed width and a horizontal scrollbar. I'm trying to find the actual width of the control. The .width (fixed width) + the part being reviled by the scrollbar. I tried explicitWidth, width + maxHorizontalScrollPosition, and some other combos but non of them hit the spot.
