  • mysql_fetch_array() not displaying all results

    I have a database with a calendar table (each row represents one day) with 4 years of rows (2012, 2013, 2014, 2015). I use the column name calyear for the year. I use the following code to find values for distinct years then display it: $year = mysql_query("SELECT DISTINCT calyear FROM calendar"); while($yeararray = mysql_fetch_array($year)) { echo($yeararray['calyear']."<br />"); } The problem is it only displays the years 2013, 2014, 2015 even though when I use echo(mysql_num_rows($year); it displays the value 4 which I take to mean all 4 years are there. I'm not quite sure where I'm going wrong with this.

  • UIWebView Loading content properly on iOS 6 simulator but not on device?

    I have encountered a weird bug with a released app. My UIWebView is no longer loading content on iOS 6, yet the content still displays in the simulator. The activity indicator displays properly but then it loads a blank url? Again, this only happens on a device, not on the simulator. To provide extra context (in the simulator the NSURLRequest is assigned the proper URL. When run on a device the value is nil.)   • Class views in Django

    Django view points to a function, which can be a problem if you want to change only a bit of functionality. Yes, I could have million keyword arguments and even more if statements in the function, but I was thinking more of an object oriented approach. For example, I have a page that displays a user. This page is very similar to page that displays a group, but it's still not so similar to just use another data model. Group also has members etc... One way would be to point views to class methods and then extend that class. Has anyone tried this approach or has any other idea?

    Screenshot of the issue: here Webpage in Question: http://cure.org Offending browser: Internet Explorer 7 You'll notice from the screenshot, or if you view this site in IE7, that the background image is not displaying for the content div (#modal-inner-content). Strangely, the image displays in the other divs where it is used (since it's a sprite, I'm using that same image for #modal-top-border and #modal-btm-border). In all other browsers it displays properly, and even in IE8. I cannot seem to find what CSS rule (or lack thereof) I may be using that IE7 is choking on.   • [MS Access 2003 SQL] Switch is causing #error, why and how can I fix it...

    I have 3 fields in my table: start, end (dates) and length (number, might be blank). My Aim is to calculate an end date using start and length where end doesn't exist... I have: SELECT Switch((g.length<>0) And IsDate(g.end),DateAdd("m",g.length,g.start)) AS field FROM table g If there is no start, end or length, Access displays blank - this is fine. If there is no end, but start and length are ok, the calculated date is shown - again fine. BUT If there is no end, or length, but a start exists, access displays #Error I don't understand why, and can't fix it, please help!

What I would like to do is intercept the data before it goes to the Java application and record it into a flat file for the purpose of later data analysis. Is this at all possible? I imagine the data are available and are entering my computer through some port which the Java app picks up and then displays. Help appreciated. Thanks

Each of these users can have a building. The world building needs to be the example option, which then displays the building.. essentially I need a slick way to add the word in for the expanding level (instead of the value in the collection).

    Hi there. I have occured a problem: I'm writing a widget, which displays current date's day number. It's like a button, but it's not derived from QPushButton class. Just from QWidget. So I reimplemented enterEvent(), leaveEvent(), mousePressEvent(), mouseReleaseEvent(). I call update() inside these methods and widget has realistic button behavior (paintEvent() is reimplemented too). But when I change system date and hover that widget with other window, my widget doesn't calls paintEvent() and displays old date. Only when I place mouse over it, widget repaints it's contents. I guess there is an option, which paints old contents on hover event to avoid unnecessary paint events. But I need to disable it. Tried to set many attributes (Qt::WidgetAttribute enum). But it doesn't helps. Please, help me (and sorry for my bad english).

    is it possible to delete a file(s) inside the directory by just using javascript ?. what I currently have is, an index.php which displays the name of the files in the same directory and and a checkbox to each file name and at the bottom is a delete button. what I want to happen is, delete all the selected checkboxes once the delete button is clicked. I am not using mysql here, just a plain php file that displays the names. can someone show me how to delete the selected files using javascript ?

The dialog box follows the mouse On click the dialog box "stops" and displays a link What I want to achieve When a table cell is hovered over the title of the dialog box shows the date e.g "Mon 8th Oct 2012" When a table cell is hovered over the html of the dialog box shows the events for that day in list format (there is code that succesfully retrieves the first row in function getSelectedDates() ) function getSelectedDates() needs to be called in the hover event - showing multiple events for that date in the dialog box I hope that if we can display the date being hovered over in the title of the dialog then we can use the same information to retrieve the rows from the database to populate the html of the dialog for that day

    I've written a simple script that displays circles over an image. When you hover over a circle it expands to a tooltip. $('div.tooltip').live({mouseenter:function(e){ ... animate tooltip open; },mouseleave:function(e){ ... animate tooltip closed; }}); When you click on the open tooltip it displays a lightbox with more information. $('div.tooltip').live('click',function(e){ ... open related lightbox }); Everything works as it should, except on mobile devices. When I tap the circle to open the tooltip it fires the click event and completely bypasses the mouseenter/mouseexit events. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated :) Thanks

    Okay so have a database that uses the time functions for a list of events and then displays the data as: echo "<b>Time Frame:"; echo "$time_start"; echo "&nbsp;-&nbsp;"; echo "$time_end"; Although that displays the time as 11:00:00 if i want the time to be 11:00 am. Is there anyway to make this time display as a standard "11:00"? and also if in the mysql datababse enter it as military time (ex. 13:00) to make it display 1:00pm? I have tried many things.     Edit: Summary Apparently the intended character to display in this case is an "en-dash". This page has a table half way down that shows that for the &ndash;, some software will convert the correct hex code of 2013 to 0096. (look at the first row in the table). This answer on Stackoverflow explains that somehow this is a mixup between Windows-1252 and UTF-8 This blog article enforces this: Character 150 (0x96) is the unicode character "START OF GUARDED AREA" in the non-displayed C1 control character range, but in the Windows-1252 encoding it's mapped to to the displayable character 0x2013 "en-dash" (a short dash). Others have struggled with this when producing content, as this answer on Stackoverflow shows how to replace 0x0096 with 0x2013. Google must realize this, because as stated in my original question below, Google's cached version of the Amazon page has &ndash; so it seems they are automatically correcting these mistakes on pages they cache. I have tried setting my encoding to Windows-1252 but that does not help. So now I guess my question is, how can I tell Firefox to ignore unprintable characters like these? Original content below: (Firefox 3.6.13 on Windows XP) Every once in a while I notice an odd character on certain web pages when browsing the web. It is a outline of a box with a 4-digit number inside. And example of a page that has these characters is: http://aws.amazon.com/ec2/#highlights After each section heading (Elastic, Completely Controlled, ...) I see a box with the number "0096" inside. I looked at the cached version on Google, and google has &ndash; in it's place, so I'm guessing I should be seeing a dash there instead of the box with the numbers in it. I have tried changing the character encoding in Firefox but haven't been able to find one that shows these characters correctly. Is there a way to allow Firefox to view these characters? Thanks in advance! Edit - adding a screen shot of the "special" characters: Edit #2 - tried in Ubuntu - new screenshots I logged into my Ubuntu desktop and browsed to the amazon page in Chrome and Firefox. Chrome completely ignores character, even if I inspect or view page source. Firefox in Unbutu displays the character exactly like Firefox on my Windows XP box. I copied the character and played around with it at the command line - here is a screenshot of the results: It looks like I can paste the character into this post as well: `` It is definitely not isolated to Windows XP. I tried setting the character encoding for my terminal to Windows 1252 (from Dennis' comment below), but then it just displays this character as a question mark. I pulled the webpage down with wget and with curl, and both outputs show this characters as: <96> It makes me wonder if this character renders correctly for anyone? It appears webkit just ignores it, my IE6 ignores it, Firefox displays the box with the numbers in it. I would have to imagine the design team at Amazon can see it correctly? It's not a huge deal to get these characters displaying correctly, but it would be nice to know if there is a solution to this.
