• How to shrink the ASPX page

  I am developing a C#/ASP.NET web application in VS 2008. Currently this page is too tall. The buttons appear on top and then there is a large gap between these buttons and the resultLabel text. The following code is from my ASPX file. I have tried switching to the Design tab of this file and manually moving this label, but there is still a large gap. I'm sure this is simple. How do I correct this? Consequently, the answers to this question need to be restricted to functionlity available within the jqGrid space. It pains me to pose this question and I know you will tempted to go down a million other paths - most that we have already traveled before. :( Question: Can jqGrid populate a column as a result of performing math on two other columns. The source of those two columns is in our control so we can "guarantee" that numeric data will be returned. Also, the result is something that we simplay want to display on demand but not store yet.   After several hours of design battle I come to you for a hand. I am building a website for a night club as you can see. I can't get stretch the centered area (bordered by yellow color) to the bottom of the page where the footer start (the footer is the green top-bordered div). This happends because the content is not enought to fill the rest of heigh. • CSS Table Formatting to a HTML Table

  I am attempting to provide CSS formating to two HTML tables, but I cannot. I am setting up a webpage in HTML & CSS (with the CSS in an external sheet) and the layout of the website depends on the tables. There are 2 tables, one for the head and another for the body. They are set up whereas content is situated in one middle column of 60% width, with one column on each side of the center with 20% width each, along with other table formatting. My question is - how can I format the tables in CSS? I successfully formatted them in HTML, but this will not do. This is the CSS code for the tables - each table has the id layouttable: #layouttable{border:0px;width:100%;} #layouttable td{width:20%;vertical-align:top;} #layouttable td{width:60%;vertical-align:top;background-color:#E8E8E8;} #layouttable td{width:20%;vertical-align:top;} The tables in the html document both each have, in respective order, these elements (with content inside not shown): <table id="layouttable"><tr><td></td><td></td><td></td></tr></table> Does anyone have any idea why this CSS is not working, or can write some code to fix it? • Extjs - Loading Grid when call

  I have form and grid. the user must enter data in form fields then display related records in the grid. I want to implement a search form, e.g: user will type the name and gender of the student, then will get a grid of all students have the same name and gender. So, I use ajax to send form fields value to PHP and then creat a json_encode wich will be used in grid store. I am really not sure if my idea is good. But I haven't found another way to do that. The problem is when I set autoLoad to true in the store, the grid automatically filled with all data - not just what I asked for - So, I understand that I have to set autoLoad to false, but then the result not shown in the grid even it returned successfully in the firebug! I don't know what to do. • Is it possible to embed a flash player in a table and retain the table properties

  I'd like to embed a music (flash) player in a table with clickable images but the embed code seems to throw the table properties off - it extends the width of the table. Is it possible to embed the player on the same row as the image whilst still retaining the table width? • Cannot override the CSS at this site

  This site is overriding my CSS with its own and I cannot get around it! It has style.css with "text-align: center" in the body. I have <div id="mydiv"> appended to the body and it's normally got "text-align: left". There are <ul>s and <li>s underneath #mydiv and they are inheriting the body's 'center' for some reason. • How Are These Styles Cascading?

  Problem is viewable at this link. http://dansdemos.info/prototypes/htmlSamples/responsive/step08_megaGridForward.html The three boxes need to have green backgrounds, but another style is taking precedence. I thought styles were supposed to take precedence based on where they appear in the style sheets, with styles lower in the style sheet cascading (taking precedence) over styles higher in the style sheet. I guess that is wrong, because the style sheet for the background colors of those boxes is here: #maincontent .col { background: #ccc; background: rgba(204, 204, 204, 0.85); } #callout1 { background-color: #00B300; text-align:center; } #callout2 { background-color: #00CC00; text-align:center; } #callout3 { background-color: #00E600; text-align:center; } When the style for "#maincontent .col" is removed, the green shows up (link)http://dansdemos.info/prototypes/htmlSamples/responsive/step08_megaGridForwardGreen.html, but I thought the green should show up because it is after the gray color specified higher up. I am finding a way to get what I need, but it would really make it a lot easier if I understood why the backgrounds are gray, instead of green. Any assistance would be extremely much appreciated. None of what I have tried has resulted in both lines being properly aligned. Using a margin-left alone does not work because when the first line is updated and becomes longer, it will push the second line downwards. Relative positioning seems to have the same issue. Hopefully there's something simple that I'm overlooking.

• Matching up text in 2 different columns in a table?

  Hey guys, I have recently been working on a pastebin script (for fun) and I've come across a problem that I can't seem to solve in CSS. I have a table with 2 columns. 1 column is used to display the line numbers and the 2nd column is used to display the code. I can't seem to get the numbers match up with the lines in the code so it looks all weird (example: www.zamnproductions.com/paste.php?id=32). • How do I center this form in css?

  I have tried everything. I cannot get this centered on the screen. I am using ie 9 but it does the same in chrome. It just sits on the left of the webpage. • CSS working in IE, but not FF

  Hi guys, I have a very simple css file for my Asp.Net MVC application. body { font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: x-small; color: #663300; } input { font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: x-small; background-color: #FFFF99; color: #CC6600; border: 1px solid #808000; } .headerRow { background-color: #FFFFCC; border-style: none none dotted none; border-bottom-width: 1px; border-bottom-color: #800000; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: x-small; font-weight: bold; text-align: left; vertical-align: middle; text-transform: uppercase; } The Body is working well in both... as is the input. However, the headerRow isn't working in FF, yet works well in IE.
