    HI All. how can i get the frames of any video that i am fetching from the photo directory iphone .I checked out various links but they only provide any thumbnails or any particular TIME's frame image but i need the frames of full length video .And the respective audio too then is that possible that from the freames i got and the audio file i can create another video but will change the sequence of the frames only the audio file will be the same in the video.Is that feasible .?   • Windows Server (SBS) 2008 - Telephony service won't start (missing permissions)

    I am running a SBS 2008 server. It's setup as the domain controller for the network. After a reboot, the Telephony service (and all services that depend on it) refuses to start under the Network Service account. The error given is: Error 1297: A privilege that the service requires to function properly does not exist in the service account configuration. You may use the Services Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-in (services.msc) and the Local Security Settings MMC snap-in (secpol.msc) to view the service configuration and the account configuration. This has caused all the network services not to be accessible e.g. terminal services, VPN (RRAS), SQL Server instances. The SSH daemon I have running on the box will accept connections only from localhost, but won't respond on the network. After searching around, the only advice I could find was to grant the Network Service account these permissions: Adjust memory quotas for a process Replace a process level token I set those permissions on both the Default Domain Policy and the Default Domain Controller Policy, but it seemingly had no effect. Most of the services will start if I change them to run under the Local System account, but that didn't make them accessible on the network. I even tried removing the Routing and Remote Access Services feature, rebooting and reinstalling it, but the issue remains. Any ideas?

  • Setting up HTTPS across multiple servers

    I'm looking to offer our online services over https and I'm having a couple of problems understanding how to accomplish this. To access our services you must pass through our ISA firewall to a Win2000 server running IIS6. About half our services are located here and the other half take you to a Win2003 server also running IIS6. So, in order to achieve this must each server have the proper certificate installed? ISA, IIS6_1 and IIS6_2? Is there a separate configuration that must be made to our ISA firewall? The other problem is with the CA and knowing how many certificates I need. It's important to note that the domain name for our services on IIS6_1 is www.domainname.com but the domain name on IIS6_2 is services.domainname.com. I believe that this will require me to purchase more than one certificate. It looks as though we will be going with Thawte's SSL123 as it's a good name and it's fast to get. Will I need to purchase 2 certificates (one for www that will be installed on our ISA firewall as well as IIS6_1, and one for services.domainname.com on IIS6_2)? Or will I need to purchase 3, the extra one being used on our firewall server? Another side question is about SAN's (subject alternative names). Is this basically adding sub-domains to your cert? So I could purchase one cert with 1 SAN for my www and services.? Thanks a lot for your help! Please let me know if I can provide any further information.

    Hello, im trying to use the jQuery UI autocomplete to communitate with a webservice with responseformate JSON, but i am unable to do so. My webservice is not even executed, the path should be correct since the error message does not complain about this. What strikes me is the headers, response is soap but request is json, is it supposed to be like this?   • singleton pattern in Windows Activation Service

    Hello I have a few WCF services that are currently being self hosted, in a very basic NT Service. I want to expand my application to add provisioning of WCF Services, and updates, as well as isolation (I want each WCF Service to be in its own AppDomain). These WCF Services contain logic that needs to be run on a regular basis, pinging the database, and getting information from external devices so that when a request comes in the data is readily available. I'm thinking about trying out Windows Activation Service, because i really like the provisioning, and isolation that comes with a managed services infrastructure. If I didn't use WAS I would essentially have to write the same code myself. From what I understand though WAS does not really support the model of having a service that is running before someone actually calls a method on the service. the article I read here MSDN Article Link states "That means in essence that out-of-the-box WAS hosting is not something that is really suited for sessionful or singleton services. It is more suitable for stateless per-call services." it does say that "Out of the box" so I'm wondering if anyone has used WAS to host a WCF service that really behaves more like an NT Service (starting and stopping independantly of having a method called upon it). Or any other ideas would be great. I was planning on writting this infrastructure myself, to host WCF services in a custom ServiceHost, and put their execution in a seporate AppDomain, as well as allow for provision of these services after initial installation, along with updates. However, I would MUCH MUCH MUCH rather not own that code if I don't have to. thanks Joshua

    I created a number of standard WCF Services (Service Contract and Host (svc) are in separate assemblies). I fired up a Web Site in IIS to host the Services (i.e., address is http://services:1000/wcfservices.svc). Then in my Web Site project I added the reference. I am able to call the services normally. I am needed to call some of the services client side. Not sure if I should be looking at articles calling WCF services through AJAX, JQuery, or JSON enabled WCF Services. Can anyone provide any thoughts or experience with configuring as such?     Hello, I am using Castle.Windsor as an IOC. So I am trying to resolve a service type in the constructor of an HTTPHandler.   • WiX major upgrade refuses to replace existing file!

    Hello! I have inherited this project with a WiX installer, and am required to make this version usefully upgrade the previous one! My problem comes in replacing the database files with new versions. No, the problem is not that they are locked, I can replace them manually, and in fact now ONE of them is replaced, while the other is not. Please, please tell me what I'm doing wrong here. I've tried several other solutions (including registry keys as KeyPath instead of CompanionFile) but nothing is quite working. The file that is giving me trouble is the one called "PathwaysMdf". Even though it's Component code is EXACTLY the same as the PathwaysLdf file, that file is replaced, while the MDF is NOT.   • How to reinstall OEM Windows 98 SE?

    I'm trying to install Windows 98 SE on an old PC and it's not going well. I run into this problem. Searching for Boot Record from Floppy..OK Starting Windows 98... TOSHIBA Enhanced-IDE CD/DVD-ROM Device Driver (ATAPI) Version 2.24 (C)Copyright Toshiba Corp. 1995-1999. All rights reserved. Device Name : TOSCD001 Number of units : 1 MSCDEX Version 2.25 Copyright (C) MIcrosoft Corp. 1986-1995. All rights reserved. Drive Z: = Driver TOSCD001 unit 0 TOSHIBA MACHINE Invalid drive specification Path not found - C:\TOOLS\CDROMDRV.SYS Invalid drive specification Invalid drive specification After that last line, it leaves me at a bitmap image displaying instructions to reboot with Ctrl+Alt+Del. It doesn't say why I have to reboot, and it doesn't state any error type, it just want's me to reboot for no apparent reason. After reboot, it just boots up from Floppy again and it cycles through the same thing all over again. The computer has been restored to original specification. Original system recovery "CD-ROM" discs are available and they are not scratched or anything, they are in very good condition. It's a set of 3 CDs, and the first disc labeled "1/3" should be the one holding the OEM version of Windows 98 SE. There is also a boot disk for Windows 98. I'm not sure what the other two discs are for. This computer came with three language support, so those could be holding different language versions or additional OEM discs. But I'm quite sure that the first disc holds the main operating system. BIOS has been set to optimized defaults. Boot priority is as follows; Floppy, IDE-0, CD-ROM. Under Standard CMOS settings, BIOS scans and autoconfigures both the hard drive and the CD/DVD drive. On POST it finds them both, and it finds the DOS bootdisk and starts preparing for installation, as you can see above. So what's this "invalid drive specification" about? Why isn't the installation starting? Updates Update 1 Booting from CD disc 2 In desperation I tried booting from the second CD. Boot order was; Floppy, CD-ROM, IDE-0. It boots normally from floppy disk, just like above, but then returns following. File not found - Z:\3LNGINST\TOOLS\PARTINFO.TXT I accidentally pressed some key on the keyboard, and before I knew it, the following screen showed up. Create Primary DOS Partition Current fixed disk drive: 1 Verifying drive integrity, 16% complete. After completion another screen showed up. Create Primary DOS Partition Current fixed disk drive: 1 Do you wish to use the maximum available size for a Primary DOS Partition and make the partition active (Y/N)?....................? [Y] Verifying drive integrity, 7% complete. I didn't choose Yes, it was set automatically. After completion the computer was automatically rebooted. Then I got a new screen. This is in Norwegian/Swedish/Finnish. Here's the message in Swedish. Hårddisken är inte klar för återställning av programvara. Installationsprogrammet måste skapa nya partitioner (C:, D:, ...). VARNING! ALLT INNEHÅLL PÅ HÅRDDISKEN KOMMER ATT RADERAS! Tryck på en tangent om du vill fortsätta (eller CTRL-C för att avbryta). Let me translate that. Hard drive is not ready for restoring the software. Setup program has to create new partitions (C:, D:, ...). WARNING! ALL CONTENTS ON THE HARD DRIVE WILL BE ERASED! Press any key to continue (or CTRL-C to cancel). I pressed Enter and it started formatting the hard drive. WARNING, ALL DATA ON NON-REMOVABLE DISK DRIVE c: WILL BE LOST! Proceed with Format (Y/N)?y Formatting 14,67.53M 1 percent completed. It automatically sets the "y" option and starts formatting. Rebooting with CD disc 1 After completing this operation it rebooted automatically. I inserted CD disc 1 and there was no issue with "invalid drive specification" anymore. Instead, a bitmap menu was displayed where it asked me to choose a language. And I thought I had it there for a while but it didn't work out. After choosing the language, another menu was displayed asking me to choose a type of recovery (restore pre-installed software OR restore hard drive partitions and pre-installed software). I opted for the second option. Then a data destruction warning showed up where I just pressed 1 to Continue. It did something and then just rebooted and the same formatting screen shows up as before. So something is not right. Am I doing it wrong? I seem to have come past the CD-ROM driver issue at least. But now I'm stuck with this problem... it seems to have something to do with the hard drive. Like... why is is it always trying to format it? Isn't it enough to format it once? By the way, it needs to be formatted as FAT32, right? Windows 98 doesn't support NTFS? I think FDISK should have taken care of this already. I know this is an old hard drive, but I connected to my main computer and it was able to read and write to it without a problem. It does have bad sectors though, but it's expected on an old hard drive like this. Any ideas?.. Update 2 I seem to be repeatedly getting stuck at the format screen where it asks to press any key to continue. So tried to cancel it this time with Ctrl+C. This leaves me at: A:\TOOLS> I can do DIR and CD and I tried to change to Z: drive. I tried running "setup" but there is no such thing. Solution #2 Rik proposed to run Z:\setup. Now that I have found a way to drop to DOS prompt with Ctrl+C as described above (Update 2), I did try running setup but there is no such command or file in there. So that didn't work.

I've been through numberous tutorials and i had this working on Ubuntu server, but for the life of me can't get anywhere with Debian. Port 80 (http) works fine, but port 443 (https) gives me the following error (in firefox) - homeserver is my hostname and my dhcp assigned ip is 192.168.1.109. I've got mod_rewrite enabled but i don't think it does anything here. I've tried almost everything :/ It works on my local environnement (MAMP) but fails when on my Debian server.

    I'm trying to setup nginx webserver with Passenger support for Ruby on Rails application on Ubuntu 10.04 (on sub URI). All went fine until I tried to access the server/application from the browser.     I've downloaded the 30 day trial version of TextMate and wanted to use a plugin for coffeescript. The instructions for installing the plugin say to go to this directory cd ~/Library/Application\ Support/TextMate/Bundles (Textmate 1) Once I changed into the TextMate directory and started looking for Bundles by doing ls it only showed TextMate.pid In other words, no Bundles directory.... Once I was in the Bundles directory, I'm supposed to do git clone git://github.com/jashkenas/coffee-script-tmbundle CoffeeScriptBundle.tmbundle but didn't want to try that without first being in the Bundles directory.

I inherited this software project using WiX and am releasing a new version. I need this new version to leave ONLY the one configuration file if it's present, and replace everything else. This installer works EXCEPT no matter what I have done so far, the new XML file replaces the old on every install.     I have been tasked with demoing how Integration Services handles an error during a data flow to show that no data makes it into the destination. This is an existing package and I want to limit the code changes to the package as much as possible (since this is most likely a one time deal). The scenario that is trying to be understood is a "systemic" failure - the source file disappears midstream, or the file server loses power, etc. I know I can make this happen by having the Error Output of the source set to Failure and introducing bad data but I would like to do something lighter than that. I suppose I could add a Script Transform task and look for a certain value and throw an error but I was hoping someone has come up with something easier / more elegant. Thanks, Matt

I've got one .htaccess at /mysite.com/.htaccess & one at /mysite.com/test/.htaccess with: Order Deny,Allow Deny from all Neither of them work i can still see my website. I've got mod_rewrite enabled but i don't think it does anything here. I've tried almost everything :/ It works on my local environnement (MAMP) but fails when on my Debian server.

    We would like to test a GeoIP-Service. Therefore we need to go to the site with an IP from another country. There are a lot of free proxy lists like http://nntime.com/proxy-country/ The problem with them is, that only the CoDeen-Proxies are working. But with CoDeen you can't select your country of origin (the same as with TOR). You get redirected to a random proxy in the network. Where to find good proxy server for testing the GeoIP Services? Free proxy servers would be great, but if they cost something small that doesn't matter.

  • How to keep group-writeable shares on Samba with OSX clients?

    I have a FreeNAS server on a network with OSX and Windows clients. When the OSX clients interact with SMB/CIFS shares on the server, they are causing permission problems for all other clients. Update: I can no longer verify any answers because we abandoned the project, but feel free to post any help for future visitors. The details of this behavior seem to also be dependent on the version of OSX the client is running. For this question, let's assume a client running 10.8.2. When I mount the CIFS share on an OSX client and create a new directory on it, the directory will be created with drwxr-x-rx permissions. This is undesirable because it will not allow anyone but me to write to the directory. There are other users in my group which should have write permissions as well. This behavior happens even though the following settings are present in smb.conf on the server: [global] create mask= 0666 directory mask= 0777 [share] force directory mode= 0775 force create mode= 0660 I was under the impression that these settings should make sure that directories are at least created with rwxrwxr-x permissions. But, I guess, that doesn't stop the client from changing the permissions after creating the directory. When I create a folder on the same share from a Windows client, the new folder will have the desired access permissions (rwxrwxrwx), so I'm currently assuming that the problem lies with the OSX client. I guess this wouldn't be such an issue if you could easily change the permissions of the directories you've created, but you can't. When opening the directory info in Finder, I get the old "You have custom access" notice with no ability to make any changes. I'm assuming that this is caused because we're using Windows ACLs on the share, but that's just a wild guess. Changing the write permissions for the group through the terminal works fine, but this is unpractical for the deployment and unreasonable to expect from anyone to do.   • WCF Rest services for use with the repository pattern?

    Hi there, I am considering moving my Service Layer and my data layer (repository pattern) to a WCF Rest service. So basically i would have my software installed locally (WPF client) which would call the Service Layer that exists via a Rest Service... The service layer would then call my data layer using a WCF Rest Service also OR maybe just call it via the DLL assembly I was hoping to understand what the performance would be like. Currently I have my datalayer and servicelayer installed locally via DLL Assemblies locally on the pc. Also i presume the WCF REST services won't support method overloading hance the same name but with a different signature?? I would really appreciate any feedback anyone can give. Thanks

  • How can I upload a file to a Sharepoint Document Library using Silverlight and client web-services?

    Most of the solutions I've come across for Sharepoint doc library uploads use the HTTP "PUT" method, but I'm having trouble finding a way to do this in Silverlight because it has restrictions on the HTTP Methods. I visited this http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd920295(VS.95).aspx to see how to allow PUT in my code, but I can't find how that helps you use an HTTP "PUT". I am using client web-services, so that limits some of the Sharepoint functions available. That leaves me with these questions: Can I do an http PUT in Silverlight? If I can't or there is another better way to upload a file, what is it? Thanks
