    I'm not a sys-admin, but sometimes I play one at work. I've inherited a virtual server that had MySQL installed from source. I'm gathering as much information about the install as I can (original people who installed it are, of course, not a resource). How can I find The default/current location of the MySQL binary files (often stored in a directory named data?) Any default or custom loaded cnf files? Looking for solutions that are a bit more sophisticated than a find / -iname '*.cnf' :)

    Although it runs correctly, the following results in the aforementioned compiler warning: return ((item - (my->items))/(my->itemSize)); 'item' is a 'void *'; 'my-items' is a 'void *'; 'my-itemSize' is an 'int' Casting 'item' and 'my-items' as an 'int *' caused the program to run improperly. What is the best way to remove the warning?

    When making an ajax call, when contentType is set to application/json instead of the default x-www-form-urlencoded, server side (in PHP) can't get the post parameters. in the following working example, if I set the contentType to "application/json" in the ajax request, PHP $_POST would be empty. why does this happen?   • Recover data from a Windows Dynamic Volume Spanned Disk

    I have a dynamic volume created with two spanned partitions over two disk. Recently, one disk has started failing, and I want to copy the data inside that disk to another disk, before replacing it. However I don't know how to select only what is inside the failing disk, because the partitions spans across both disks. Maybe imaging the entire disk should do the work? Or I have to copy all the data from both disks? Thanks in advance!

    I am starting learning for android tablet programming and I am able to updated my Eclipse as well as all new sdk for android. I have start testing application from this blog while at extending the FragmentActivity getting this error I have google it but not getting any solution. My project was created with 3.0 version having 11 level, all other packages are successfully used in the code but only this FragmentActivity was not able to resolve. Am I missing any library or any thing? I tried creating calculated column TestDate and formula is : =TEXT(([Date Submitted]),"mm dd yyyy h:MM:SS") result is 04 28 2010 0:00:00 I wanted to be 04/28/2010 10:50:34 Is it possible to achive this?     From the java.text.ChoiceFormat API: setChoices(double[] limits, String[] formats): Set the choices to be used in formatting. Parameters: limits - contains [...] formats - are the formats you want to use for each limit. They can be either Format objects or Strings. When formatting with object Y, if the object is a NumberFormat, then ((NumberFormat) Y).format(X) is called. Otherwise Y.toString() is called. I'm having difficulties understanding the documentation for the formats parameter: how can you possibly pass a Format/NumberFormat object to setChoices if it's declared String[] formats? Note that interestingly, the getters counterpart of setChoices are declared as follows: double[] getLimits() Object[] getFormats() -- not String[]!!! Is this a bug in the API? Should the setter have been declared setChoices(double[], Object[]) instead, or am I not understanding how to use setChoices correctly?

    Hello, I have a JList that shows multiple JPanels on them , i have created a custom renderer that returns a new JPanel. The JPanels are displayed in the JList but they are not accessible, i cant select them and if i have a button or a text area in it i can not press it. I want to try if this works in a JList because i want to do further pagination. I managed to get it work by adding panels to a Jscroll pane, but would love to make the JList thing work. Thanks

    Assuming I create a method which is passed an object and that method would perform an action depending on the object passed. How should I identify the object? I thought of using the class name to identify the object, but that may be impractical since I could easily change the class name of objects, and generate headaches during future development. Am I right? edit: for example, i have objects ball and bomb. if i have another object called wall, and the wall has the method to resolve collisions with the wall (e.g. the coordinates of the colliding ball and bomb) but have different logic depending on the colliding object (i.e. ball and bomb)

    I'm cleaning HTML using cyberneko and xerces. However , some $#@@!@@ websites still use BOTH <script>...</script> and <script.../> So what happens is this : given <script..../> <div> Some Text </div> <script> scripting stuff </script> , neko parses all the above line as a script , so I get <script..../> &lt div &gt Some Text &lt/div &gt &lt script &gt scripting stuff </script> , And then I lose all the inside content :( Any advice?
