  Hi, the following code is to open a console application (which uses pdcurses for output, nothing special): myProcess.StartInfo.FileName = "some.exe"; myProcess.StartInfo.UseShellExecute = false; myProcess.StartInfo.CreateNoWindow = false; myProcess.StartInfo.RedirectStandardInput = true; myProcess.Start(); The Problem is that it opens the designated window but directly closes it (it's barely visible). Starting the program without RedirectStandardInput works. The problem is that it does not throw an exception nor any error-message. What is wrong with my code? How can I write input to the program? • How to disable JSR-303 Hibernate Validation in Spring3

  After putting hibernate-validator.jar and javax.validation-api.jar in my classpath the org.springframework.dao.DataIntegrityViolationException is replaced by org.hibernate.exception.ConstraintViolationException and this is causing a lot of issues. I have to put this two jars to be able to upgrade Jersey to 2.4, it has dependency on these two jars. Putting these properties into hibernate.properties file doesn't help, hibernate simply ignores them but it loads the properties on start-up loaded properties from resource hibernate.properties: {hibernate.validator.apply_to_ddl=false,hibernate.validator.autoregister_listeners=false etc} javax.persistence.validation.mode=none hibernate.validator.autoregister_listeners=false hibernate.validator.apply_to_ddl=false I am using Spring 3.2.4 with SessionFactory and mapping resources from hbm.xml files with constraints in it, hibernate 3.6.9.final, hibernate-validator 5.0.final, javax.validator-api 1.1.0.Final I just can't figure out how to disable hibernate validation, any help will be much appreciated.

  Hi, I have ASP.NET web service on windows server 2003. I have own certificate authority. I use own client certificate on authentification in web service. I make client certificate. I call web service, everything is ok. Then I revoke this certificate in certification authority. Certificate is in Revoked certificate. I call web service with this certificate, but web service verify this certificate as good, but this certificate is between revoked. I don't know why? Anybody help me please? I use this method on verify certificate. X509Certificate2.Verify Method I don't get any exception, certificate is between revoked, but web service verify this certificate as good.

• Using slime's C-x C-e (Eval the form under the point) with swank-clojure in emacs

  Hi, I'm using swank-clojure in emacs on OSX. I'm able to run a slime session. When I use C-x C-e on a simple form in a .clj file like (+ 7 7) I get an sldb buffer with Unable to resolve symbol: + in this context [Thrown class java.lang.Exception] I'm able to evaluate that form in the slime session directly. I was hoping the form in the clj file would get evaluated in the running slime session. Can someone explain how C-x C-e works in swank-clojure and how I can get the form to be evaluated in the running slime session? Thanks, hhh

• Accessing NHibernate Repository using ASP.NET Ajax WebMethod

  Hi there! on my page I have a save button that gets the values from the form and then saves it in the database using NHibernate. This works using ASP.net postback buttons. I have now added an Ajax WebMethod to make things sleek and quicker. Howver, when trying to access the data in the repository it doesn't seem to get it. I am passing in the correct values, and everything looks the same as when you are using the postback but no Joy! I should point out here that I'm a newbie with NHibernate and I'm working with someone elses code. Here's the code: the main problem is this line: Solution.Entities.Hierarchy.Tag tag = tagRep.Get(tagId); The tagID is fine, but when it does the get no exception is raised it just comes out the method and goes back to the page???? http://pastebin.com/cBTp9pnC Anyone have any ideas? • DB4o Linq query - How to check for null strings

  Hey there - simple query: var q = (from SomeObject o in container where o.SomeInt > 8 && o.SomeString != null //Null Ref here select o; I always get a null reference exception. If I use String.IsNullOrEmpty(o.SomeString) the query takes about 100 times as long, as if I use && o.SomeString != "" (which is way faster, but obviously not correct). I'm guessing because DB4o needs to activate the objects, in order to pass them in to the IsNullOrEmpty call, and can't use the indexes. My question is, what's a better way to check for nulls in this situation? Is there something like: mystring != Db4o.DBNull.Value, or something? Cheers, Dave

  I have 2 classes: Person and Contact. Person class has a property named ContactNumber which returns the Contact type, and this property is marked as a DataMember for serialization. I have marked Contact type as a DataContract. On the client side I am able to get the values, but when I try to insert a value and then do submit, I get the following exception: Failed to deserialize change-set. This action is done thousands of times a day, and I get this exception about once every 5 seconds. From what I understand it happens when something changes in the database in the period between creating DataContext and updating it. Am I right? What's the problem here and how can I fix it?

  I'm using Hibernate validator 4.1 to validate my entity. I have a dashboard that I can access from the action : viewDashboard. If I have a type="redirectAction".. I lose the error messages. in Struts 1, I would forward to the action viewDashboard.do without a redirect and that will works.. but How to do that in Struts2 ?

• C# Class Instantiation Overflow

  Scenario I have a C# Win Forms App, where the Main Form contains a loop that creates 3000 Instances of another form (Form B). Inside Form B there are a large number of properties and fields and a bunch of methods that do a fair amount of processing. Question Will the creation of 3000 of these classes give me problems? I'm thinking along the lines of memory exceptions? I've had 1 or 2 already, and I've also had an exception that says something along the lines of "Something went bang and this is usually a sign of corrupt memory somewhere else". Setup I'm using a DevExpress Ribbon Form and I haven't implemented Dispose on anything....Do I need to? Help greatly appreciated.

  Hi, I run into the following errors when i try to store a large file into a string. Basically my pgm looks like something like this. • SqlBulkCopy unusual TimeOut Error

  I have a SqlBulkCopy operation that is taking data from an MS-Access 2007 database (via OleDbConnection) and using SqlBulkCopy to transfer that data to a SQL Server database. This has previously been working and continues to work for one MS-Access database, but not the other. I get the error message: Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding. It is hard to believe it is a timeout ast the oledbCommand.CommandTimeout = 0 the sqlBulkCopy.BulkCopyTimeout = 0 and on either side (MS-Access and SQL Server the timeouts have now been set to 0). Are there other issues/exceptions that the above error message could be hiding? Is there a way to determine what the base cause of a sqlBulkCopy.WriteToServer exception is (there doesn't appear to be any inner exceptions etc...)

Switching the target class version for my app (1.6 - 1.5) did not help. I use Sun JDK 1.6.0_17, Wicket 1.4.8, Jetty 6.1.24. I tried to debug, but the JRE classes have no debug data. The stacktrace is of no use as it happens when loading the classes into JVM. Any ideas what could be wrong? How can I find which class is causing this? Thanks, Ondra

  I have two interfaces IHeaderRow, and IDetailRow I then have an object that implements both RawRow:IHeaderRow, IDetailRow I then need to cast it to HeaderRow which implements IHeaderRow. But when I try, it ends up being null or giving an exception. I can cast ObjectRawRow to either interface IHeaderRow, or IDetailRow var ObjectIHeaderRow = ObjectRawRow as IHeaderRow; var ObjectIDetailRow = ObjectRawRow as IDetailRow; But I can not cast ObjectRawRow to HeaderRow , or ObjectIHeaderRow to HeaderRow. It throws the error Cannot convert source type 'IA' to target type 'A' I need to cast it into the actual class HeaderRow. Thoughts?

• Silverlight datagrid don't show any data with anonymous query RIA services

I have an anonymous linq query that I bind to a datagrid, when I debug it brings alright the data but it doesn't show in the datagrid, I suspect that the request to RIA services isn't completed before I bound it to the datagrid. I could use the LoadOperation<() Completed event. But it only works with Defined Entities so how can I do that?   When my client application launchs, it binds the UDP port like this: this.BindPort(5001); The BindPort method implement blow: public void BindPort(int port) { m_listener = new Socket( AddressFamily.InterNetwork, SocketType.Dgram, ProtocolType.Udp ); IPEndPoint Point = new IPEndPoint( IPAddress.Any, Port ); m_listener.Bind( port); m_listener.BeginReceive( buff, 0, buff.Length, SocketFlags.None, new AsyncCallback( DataReceived ), buff ); } And when my server application commands client to bind to another UDP port(e.g. 5005). I call the same BindPort method in client. Then a exception occurs at DataReceived method. I think there must be a problem that I don't close the UDP port properly. But how can i close the UDP socket properly and rebind to another one. Thanks.

  I've been quite impressed with dynamic data and how easy and quick it is to get a simple site up and running. I'm planning on using it for a simple internal HR admin site for registering people's skills/degrees/etc. I've been watching the intro videos at www.asp.net/dynamicdata and one thing they never mention is how to handle concurrency control. It seems that DD does not handle it right out of the box (unless there is some setting I haven't seen) as I manually generated a change conflict exception and the app failed without any user friendly message. Anybody know if DD handles it out of the box? Or do you have to somehow build it into the site?
