• dynamic 404.jsp using struts

  I would like to display an intelligent 404 page with some application data. Currently, there is a 'dumb' jsp, so I just forward to the view and I am done with it. But now I guess I really need to forward to an action so that I can set some more data to display on the error.jsp. How do I do it through configuration via struts-config? I need congifuration because I do not want to touch any individual files that might be forwarding to the existing view. I tried doing the fol, but I get an error and I dont see anything in the log. So currently, <forward name="ErrorView" path="/Error404.jsp" type="org.apache.struts.action.ActionForward"> </forward> What I want: <forward name="ErrorView" path="/errorAction.do" type="org.apache.struts.action.ActionForward"> </forward>

  Hi, I created a web project on the server, and when I upload an image shows me the error Error: A generic error occurred in GDI +. I have read many links on the net that talk about this issue, and although I made the changes, nothing went wrong. I was thinking if the case is not an issue of permissions to folders. • ZeroMQ Java Installation Problem

  Hi everyone, I'm trying to install ZeroMQ's Java library but I've been having problem. First error was ./configure complained about JAVA_HOME which everything seemed to be fine but I couldn't manage to solve it but I've found a particular solution in ZeroMQ's chat logs. The suggested solution was; JAVA_HOME="/System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Home" ./configure However it doesn't work for me. The error message I've been receiving is checking for jni.h in /Library/Java/Home/include... configure: error: cannot find jni.h in /Library/Java/Home/include. I've tried JAVA_HOME="/System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Home" ./configure and JAVA_HOME="/System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/1.6/Home" ./configure as well but still no luck. I'd like to hear StackOverflowers' thoughts about how I can solve this. Thanks.

• Modular HTML in Adobe AIR? Is It Possible?

  When I write HTML with a PHP backend, I usually have a single header file and a single footer file with some PHP variables in them. The base skeleton for every page calls the header, contains the body content, and then calls the footer. That way, if I want to make changes to the header sitewide, I change one file. I'm working on developing the UI in my first Adobe AIR app and I'm wondering if there's some way to include such files in an HTML based page template there. Obviously, with the file read/write abilities in AIR, I can write a Javascript routine to pull data from a header file, parse it, and inject it into a placeholder. It just seems like such a kludge. I'm thinking there's gotta be some simple way to import a block of HTML into a page without an iFrame or complex post-processor. Something like a PHP include statement or perhaps the old Server Side Includes. Any methods you guys can recommend?

• Why does copying a file using FileInfo.CopyTo creates the destination copied file as readonly ?

  I have two folders in my asp.net web application in which I create new folders programmaticaly. The entire solution is under VSS source control. I was not able to manipulate these two folders programmably. For that, I gave {MACHINE}\ASPNET user account full control over these two folders. Still, the "access denied to the path" error was coming. I saw that these entire folders were marked readonly. I tried to uncheck Readonly from explorer but not successfull, readonly check does not get removed. Also, if I copy files using method, the destinationn copied file becomes readonly. I have also tried File.SetAttributes(path,FileAttributes.Normal); but no success. How can I make the copied file not READONLY ?

• How to implement square root and exponentiation on arbitrary length numbers?

  I'm working on new data type for arbitrary length numbers (only non-negative integers) and I got stuck at implementing square root and exponentiation functions (only for natural exponents). Please help. I store the arbitrary length number as a string, so all operations are made char by char. Please don't include advices to use different (existing) library or other way to store the number than string. It's meant to be a programming exercise, not a real-world application, so optimization and performance are not so necessary. If you include code in your answer, I would prefer it to be in either pseudo-code or in C++. The important thing is the algorithm, not the implementation itself. Thanks for the help.

• Problems adding static library QT project

  I have problems adding a static library to my Qt project. I have two project one is my static library and the other one is a Qt GUI project. As I add all classes to my GUI project as c++ or header files everything works just fine but I want this to be in a separate library. When I select the option to add a library I check External library then I select the .a file I have build and the folder where my header files can be found because I am working on a Mac I select Mac as the target platform. But now I wonder what is the best way to include some jQuery or some Javascript code packed into my custom tag definition. What is the regular way to include a custom library into my code? For example: {% faceboxify item %} So assume that it'll create a specific HTML output for Facebox plugin. I just want to learn some elegant way to import this plugin into my code. I want the above definition to be enough for all functionality. Is there any way to do it? I couldn't find any example. Maybe I'm missing something.. Thank you.

  I am trying to use "printf" in my Visual C++ project however it is not working. • Run batch file when argument contains quotes and spaces (from .NET framework)

  I have a bat file which sets some environment variables, and then executes a command on the command line. I want to replace the hard coded command with one passed in via a parameter. So: :: Set up the required environment SET some_var=a SET another_var=b CALL some.bat :: Now call the command passed into this batch file %1 The problem is that the command is complex, and doesn't escape cleanly. It looks like this: an.exe -p="path with spaces" -t="some text" -f="another path with spaces" I'm trying to call the .bat from a .NET framework app, using: Dim cmd as String = "the cmd" System.Diagnostics.Process.Start( thebat.exe, cmd ) but I can't seem to get the escapes to work correctly. Can someone tell me how the string cmd should be entetered to get the command passed into the bat file as an argument correctly?

  At my new company, they keep all data associated with the data warehouse, including import, staging, audit, dimension and fact tables, together in the same physical database. I've been a database developer for a number of years now and this consolidation of function and form seems counter to everything I know. It seems to make security, backup/restore and performance management issues more manually intensive. Is this something that is done in the industry? Are there substantial reasons for doing or not doing it? The platform is Netezza. The size is in terabytes, hundreds of millions of rows. What I'm looking to get from answers to this question is a solid understanding of how right or wrong this path is. From your experience, what are the issues I should be focused on arguing if this is a path that will cause trouble for us down the road. If it is no big deal, then I'd like to know that as well.

• Zend Framework on a Shared Host

  I am trying to push my first ZF project to my shared hosting provider. I have done a lot of testing on my home server and everything is working great. My issue is that I do not know how to set up my .htaccess files on the shared hosting provider to make it work correctly. The ZF documentation says to configure my Apache config VirtualServer DocumentRoot to /whatever/path/project-folder/public, but I don't have that kind of access. How do I get around this? I have seen http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1115547/zend-framework-on-shared-hosting but none of those solutions have worked for me. • Starting mongrel with a custom command line argument

  I would like to be able to start a mongrel or webrick server by passing an extra command line argument that I can read somewhere inside my rails application. An example would be: ruby script/server -p3000 --target=FOO Here, --target is a custom switch who's value I would like to intercept in my rails application. However, this yields the error: server: invalid option: --target=FOO I found mongrel documentation which mentions a -C (--config=PATH) argument specifying a full path to a yml configuration file, but specifying that switch gives the same error as above. I presume this option is deprecated. Is there another way to accomplish this?

• CUDA & VS2010 problem

  I have scoured the internets looking for an answer to this one, but couldn't find any. I've installed the CUDA 3.2 SDK (and, just now, CUDA 4.0 RC) and everything seems to work fine after long hours of fooling around with include directories, NSight, and all the rest. Well, except this one thing: it keeps highlighting the <<< >>> operator as a mistake. Only on VS2010--not on VS2008. On VS2010 I also get several warnings of the following sort: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\VC\include\xdebug(109): warning C4251: 'std::_String_val<_Ty,_Alloc>::_Alval' : class 'std::_DebugHeapAllocator<_Ty>' needs to have dll-interface to be used by clients of class 'std::_String_val<_Ty,_Alloc>' Anyone know how this can be fixed?

• php download file slows

  OK first off thanks for your time I wish I could give more than one point for this question. Problem: I have some music files on my site (.mp3) and I am using a php file to increment a database to count the number of downloads and to point to the file to download. For some reason this method starts at 350kb/s then slowly drops to 5kb/s which then the file says it will take 11hrs to complete. BUT if I go directly to the .mp3 file my browser brings up a player and then I can right click and "save as" which works fine complete download in 3mins. (Yes both during the same time for those that are thinking it's my connection or ISP and its not my server either.) So the only thing that I've been playing around with recently is the php.ini and the .htcaccess files. Anyways, could somebody please tell me how to get this program to run WinMain first (I do have a reason for using both). I'm running windows 7 with mingw if that helps anything.

  I'm trying to create an online application for a python function i have created. in my script, i input the path of my file for the computer (input_path = '/users/user/desktop/input.txt') but i'm not sure how to go about this using Google App Engine . I have the choice between 3 templates: flask, django, and bottle . I really do believe this question is relevant for people transitioning from scripts to web-based applications. Do I need to incorporate GUI stuff from Tkinter or something? There has to be a way to simply select a file to use for the input path in an interactive way using python scripts
