Renaming TurboGears 2's Repoze Fields with TGAdmin

I've been working on renaming TurboGears 2's Repoze 'groups' field to 'roles' to free the namespace and db tables for other purposes. Also roles makes much more sense to me then groups because I have a strong Drupal background. Now I have found some of the docs to do this such as these: http://www.turbogears.org/2.1/docs/main/Auth/Customization.html#customizing-the-model-structure-assumed-by-the-quickstart http://code.gustavonarea.net/repoze.what-quickstart/#customizing-the-model-definition However these only go part of the way. I have made (I'm pretty sure at least, I've double checked a few times.) all the changes required as you can see in this diff. This seems to work fine however I've ran into a rather major issue with the TurboGears Admin system. I've tried http://turbogears.org/2.0/docs/main/Extensions/Admin/index.html and it didn't seem to make any difference, however I'm not 100% sure I did it correctly. The problem occurs when I attempt to go to localhost/admin/permissions/. It causes a Internal Server Error and outputs the following error. http://pastebin.com/YWMH3SiU This error does not happen on the Roles/Users pages and the permissions /edit/1 also works. I'm running kubuntu 10.04 with TG 2.1b2. (I'm running the beta mostly for easier mako support which is really important.) Any help would be very appreciated.

Dynamically created iframe not working on Safari

I have a weird problem and I find no answer on google... I dynamically create and fullfil an iframe with jquery on a page. It works fine withFF and IE, but not with Safari. The iframe is created but empty (the message "greetings from the iframe !" is missing). Question about effective logging in C#

I've written a simple class for debugging and I call the method Debugger.WriteLine(...) in my code like this: Debugger.WriteLine("[Draw]", "InProgress", "[x,y] = " + x.ToString("0.00") + ", " + y.ToString("0.00") + "; pos = " + lastPosX.ToString() + "x" + lastPosY.ToString() + " -> " + posX.ToString() + "x" + posY.ToString() + "; SS = " + squareSize.ToString() + "; MST = " + startTime.ToString("0.000") + "; Time = " + time.ToString() + phase.ToString(".0000") + "; progress = " + progress.ToString("0.000") + "; step = " + step.ToString() + "; TimeMovementEnd = " + UI.MovementEndTime.ToString()); The body of the procedure Debugger.WriteLine is compiled only in Debug mode (directives #if, #endif). What makes me worry is that I often need ToString() in Debugger.WriteLine call which is costly because it creates still new strings (for changing number for example). How to solve this problem? A few points/questions about debugging/tracing: I don't want to wrap every Debugger.WriteLine in an IF statement or to use preprocessor directives in order to leave out debugging methods because it would inevitable lead to a not very readable code and it requires too much typing. I don't want to use any framework for tracing/debugging. I want to try to program it myself. Are Trace methods (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.diagnostics.trace.aspx) left out if compiling in release mode? If it is so is it possible that my methods would behave similarly? http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/fht0f5be.aspx output = String.Format("You are now {0} years old.", years); Which seems nice. Struts2 Sitemesh not working in WAS 6 server

I have a struts2-spring application which works fine in jetty server but when i try migrating it to WAS 6 the decorator(sitemesh) is not getting applied. Making RDoc Ruby Gem Default on Mac OS X

Hey all, I've recently installed RDoc version (2.4.3) through Ruby gems to replace the one shipped with Mac OS X (version 1.0.1). Unfortunately, I can still only use RDoc 1.0.1 when I call run "rdoc" at the command line. rdoc -v returns: RDoc V1.0.1 - 20041108 I tried amending the $PATH variable to point the first entry to the RDoc 2.4.3 folder but no luck. I couldn't find anything about this online either, so I thought I'd ask here. Cheers! Update: Running "gem list -d --version 1.0.1 rdoc" returns: *** LOCAL GEMS *** rdoc (2.4.3) Authors: Eric Hodel, Dave Thomas, Phil Hagelberg, Tony Strauss Rubyforge: http://rubyforge.org/projects/rdoc Homepage: http://rdoc.rubyforge.org Installed at: /usr/local/lib/ruby/gems/1.8 RDoc is an application that produces documentation for one or more Ruby source files Therefore, it's definitely the Mac OSX version of RDoc that's interfering with the Gems version. Update 2: I found out, using: `bash --debugger rdoc` that the old version of RDoc was in /opt/local/bin. I deleted it and added my gems directory to my $PATH `export PATH=/usr/local/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/` I now have a fresh working copy of the latest RDoc!

The problem is, when jQuery execute this line returns "Docentes y alumnos desa...". ASP.NET membership db using integrated security problem

I published ASP.NET MVC web site to a server on a virtual machine (Hyper-V). SQL Server Express installed on the same server. The problem is that ASP.Net Membership system doesn't work in integrated mode. How do I get Ctrl-Backspace to delete a word in vim within gnome-terminal?

I'd like Ctrl-Backspace to delete the current word in vim insert mode. From within xterm I can pull this off via :inoremap <C-H> <C-W> but in gnome-terminal I cannot figure out a way to make it happen. When in vim insert mode, if I type control-v and then press backspace, I get ^H in xterm, and ^? in gnome-terminal. Unfortunately, :inoremap <C-?> <C-W> doesn't do the trick in gnome-terminal; control-backspace just erases a single character no matter what. Regarding ASCII codes: Gnome-terminal lets you change the backspace character under Edit - Profile Preferences - Compatibility. Unfortunately, no option works, as far as I can tell: whatever character I apply to Backspace via the settings, if I try mapping the character itself, like :inoremap <C-H> <C-W> then regular backspace and control-backspace both erase an entire word; and if I try mapping control plus that character, like :inoremap <C-^H> <C-W> then regular backspace and control-backspace just erase a single character.

Why does Hibernate ignore the JPA2 standardized properties in my persistence.xml?

I have an extremely simple web application running in Tomcat using Spring 3.0.1, Hibernate 3.5.1, JPA 2, and Derby. I am defining all of my database connectivity in persistence.xml and merely using Spring for dependency injection. I am using embedded Derby as my database. Everything works correctly when I define the driver and url properties in persistence.xml in the classic Hibernate manner as thus: <property name="hibernate.connection.driver_class" value="org.apache.derby.jdbc.EmbeddedDriver"/> <property name="hibernate.connection.url" value="jdbc:derby:webdb;create=true"/> The problems occur when I switch my configuration to the JPA2 standardized properties as thus: <property name="javax.persistence.jdbc.driver" value="org.apache.derby.jdbc.EmbeddedDriver"/> <property name="javax.persistence.jdbc.url" value="jdbc:derby:webdb;create=true"/> When using the JPA2 property keys, the application bails hard with the following exception: java.lang.UnsupportedOperationException: The user must supply a JDBC connection Does anyone know why this is failing? NOTE: I have copied the javax... property strings straight from the Hibernate reference documentation, so a typo is extremely unlikely.

Netbeans (PHP) catching syntax error on xml declaration

Hello. I've just installed and configured Netbeans to work with PHP (including xdebug), and almost everything is working as intended, except that I've been getting "errors" in the IDE after I edited the default webpage template to comply with xhtml 1.1. The template is this: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="${project.encoding}" ?> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.1//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml11/DTD/xhtml11.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=${project.encoding}" /> <title></title> </head> <body> </body> </html> These are the errors I receive (I can't post images yet). Page is created OK, character encoding is inherited from project's settings as expected. It's probably something to do with the xml declaration on top of the document, but I don't really know how to "tune" Netbeans to ignore it and not show the 3 errors on every page I create. The warning is there because NB does not recognize the xhtml 1.1 DTD, so it falls back to html 4.01, which does not support the xmlns attribute in the html tag - and that's the only thing I could find searching around. It will be fixed in the next version, so I'm not worried about it. I know there's nothing wrong with the markup, but there's probably something I'm missing in NB configuration, and I would like to get rid of those messages because they pretty much take all the space I reserve for errors/warnings/tasks. So is there any way I can either make NB recognize this xml declaration or make it ignore these specific "errors"? Thanks.

Gradle fails injecting dependencies into subprojects using fileTree

Maybe I'm missing something about the way Gradle works. What I have here is a parent project, which only contains configuration, i.e. there won't be any artifact being built when building it, it merely manages and builds all its subprojects. Now the subprojects share some dependency configuration, so I figured what I would do in the root project's build.gradle is: subprojects { dependencies { compile fileTree(dir: 'lib', includes: ['*.jar']) } } that, however, does not work, it fails with a rather obscure error message: A problem occurred evaluating root project 'qype-android' Cause: No signature of method: org.gradle.api.internal.artifacts.dsl.dependencies.DefaultDependencyHandler.compile() is applicable for argument types: (org.gradle.api.internal.file.DefaultConfigurableFileTree) values: [file set 'lib'] Possible solutions: module(java.lang.Object) after some trial and error, I could "fix" this issue by applying the 'java' plugin to the parent project. How come? I don't see anywhere from the Gradle docs that a fileTree dependency requires the Java plugin. Even so, why would I need it on the project that is injecting the configuration, as opposed to on the project that is being configured (note that the subprojects all apply the Java plugin themselves)? Does this mean that if I have N different subprojects that are all of varying natures, and apply different plugins, that the parent projects must always apply the set of all plugins beings used somewhere to itself, too?

Am trying to read in data from an xml file but using javascript which is embedded into my asp.net|vb code. I am new to asp.net but coming from a programming background. so I declared the xml objects for the appropriate browsers, as well as the name of the local xml to read data from, I then start by appending the create the table tag and then append it to the div tag in hack5.aspx I declare the variable that will represent/ hold the xml returned data object. User Control not loading based on location

I have an ASP.net MVC solution that uses nested master pages to load content. On the first Master page I load a header, then have the Content Placeholder, and then load a footer. This master page is referenced by another master page which adds some additional information based on the user being logged in or not. When I load a page that references these master pages, the header loads, but the footer does not. If I move the footer up above the Content Place Holder it loads into the page. Any ideas why this might be the case? Hi.. In application requirement is as follows.. In the Silverlight child page(Usercontrol, when you click menu item )open page it requires to fill some data then for saving we have Save button for cancel it we have Cancel button. Here i am looking for Saving data i need to use ShortCut Keys(Ctrl + S). If i write the following code in KeyDown event it is not Functioning well, because Generally we punch the 'Ctrl' key in Presssed mode and then we punch the "S" key here if i punch 'Ctrl' key is not released then it is not working.. When I tried it on Windows(Windows 7, "runas other user", smartcard login), it chokes too while PVC cards and AT24C01 report immediate failure.

Escaping colons in hibernate createSQLQuery

I am confused on how I can create an SQL statement containing colons. I am trying to create a view and I am using (notice the double colons): create view MyView as ( SELECT tableA.colA as colA, tableB.colB as colB, round(tableB.colD / 1024)::numeric, 2) as calcValue, FROM tableA, tableB WHERE tableA.colC = 'someValue' ); This is a postgres query and I am forced to use the double colons (::) in order to correctly run the statement. I then pass the above statement through: s.createSQLQuery(myQuery).executeUpdate(); and I get a: Exception in thread "main" org.hibernate.exception.DataException: \ could not execute native bulk manipulation query at org.hibernate.exception.SQLStateConverter.convert(\ SQLStateConverter.java:102) ... more stacktrace... with an output of my above statement changed as (notice the question mark): create view MyView as ( SELECT tableA.colA as colA, tableB.colB as colB, round(tableB.colD / 1024)?, 2) as calcValue, FROM tableA, tableB WHERE tableA.colC = 'someValue' ); Obviously, hibernate confuses my colons with named parameters. Is there a way to escape the colons (a google suggestion that mentions that a single colon is escaped as a double colon does NOT work) or another way of running this statement? Thanks.
