• Allow outgoing connections using 'iptables'

  Greeting all, "iptables -L" gives the following output [root@ibmd ~]# iptables -L Chain INPUT (policy ACCEPT) target prot opt source destination Chain FORWARD (policy ACCEPT) target prot opt source destination Chain OUTPUT (policy ACCEPT) target prot opt source destination Server has global IP and can be accessed from outer IPs.But I cannot ping nor telnet to any port (including TCP 80) from the server. Does this has something to do with my 'iptables' settings ? Any tips on allow access from my server? thanks in advance.

• Foreign Key Relationships and "belongs to many"

  I have the following model: S belongs to T T has many S A,B,C,D,E (etc) have 1 T each, so the T should belong to each of A,B,C,D,E (etc) At first I set up my foreign keys so that in A, fk_a_t would be the foreign key on A.t to T(id), in B it'd be fk_b_t, etc. Everything looks fine in my UML (using MySQLWorkBench), but generating the yii models results in it thinking that T has many A,B,C,D (etc) which to me is the reverse. It sounds to me like either I need to have A_T, B_T, C_T (etc) tables, but this would be a pain as there are a lot of tables that have this relationship. I've also googled that the better way to do this would be some sort of behavior, such that A,B,C,D (etc) can behave as a T, but I'm not clear on exactly how to do this (I will continue to google more on this) What do you think is the better solution? • How do i deploy UAT and Development SharePoint solution on the same server ?

  I am working on a SharePoint 2010 Server and i have following items in my SharePoint solution Couple of web parts State Machine Work flow (which will be integrated to an Infopath form library) Infopath task edit forms Lets say this solutions is deployed to http://[SharePoint201Server]:[PortNumber-x]/ This is the only server i have (No extra server for UAT), and what ever has been done so far needs to be given for user acceptance testing (UAT). I may create one more site at http://[SharePoint201Server]:[PortNumber-y]/ for it. My problme is that how do i maintain two copies of my source code ? I will have to continue development on the same set of source code for next UAT release. I simply can not create simple copies of the source code as it will have same Assembly name and feature id, etc..As if i do so, any changes on under Development source code would affect UAT assemblies. One thing i can do is to create seperate projects for UAT and Development with different Features and Assembly names, but is not that too much of an unneccesory work ? What can be the best approach in such situation ?

  Inside .vcproj files There is a list of all source files in your project. How can we use a macro to specify the path to a source file? If we do this: <File RelativePath="$(Lib3rdParty)\Qt\qtwinmigrate-2.5-commercial\src\qmfcapp.cpp"> </File> The compiler cannot find the folder: qmfcapp.cpp c1xx : fatal error C1083: Cannot open source file: '.\$(lib3rdparty)\qt\qtwinmigrate- 2.5-commercial\src\qmfcapp.cpp': No such file or directory As you can see, our project compiles in several source files from QT. QT lives inside a folder of external libraries, and we don't want hardcode the path from our project to that folder (we have a very large solution)

• Why are my Flex resource bundles not being loaded?

  I have an Actionscript module in the flex source folder filterModules, which is one of two additional source folders in my project (the main source folder is reports, but I'm not dealing with anything in there right now). Here's the MXML content that references the resources. ... This array is assigned to the dataProvider field of a ComboBox. It's not bound using the bindings, presumably for reasons that made sense to the original developer, and it'd be nontrivial to change the class to make that happen. I additionally have a resource property file in a folder resources/en_US and I have the source folder resources/{locale} in the project source settings. My additional compiler options are -locale en_US. The resource property file is resources/en_US/labels.properties (All paths are relative to the flash builder project root) and contains (amongst other things) these keys: metric.q3 = Overall Satisfaction metric.q5 = Personnel metric.q9a = Issue Resolution metric.q42 = Visit Duration Sat metric.q34 = Visit Duration I have written some FlexUnit tests that run in my local Flash Player that exercise these resources -- they check that every label is represented in the metrics array, for example, so I know that the resource file is loaded when run locally. However, when I copy the module .swf file over to my server, the combo box to which the array is assigned is empty. I copy the .swf like so, if it matters: rsync -rlDv --inplace -T /tmp ~/projects/flex_reports/bin-debug/rankingFilter.swf HOSTNAME:WEBROOT/flashPath/ Why is this? I am not able to debug the remote module because our surrounding site sets up a lot of context and makes some database calls to determine which module to load. I'm hoping to get some pointers on why resource bundles might not show up. I'd understand it if the array was present with wrong labels, but the array is instead completely empty, which is pretty odd.

  I execute the following command line for ffmpeg.exe -i C:\Beema\video-source\DO_U_BEEMA176x144short.avi -i C:\Beema\video-source\DO_U_BEEMA176x144short.avi -i C:\Beema\temp\9016730-51056331-stitcheds.avi -i C:\Beema\video-source\GOTTA_BEEMA176x144short.avi -y -ac 1 -r 24 -b 25K C:\Beema\video-out\9a062fb6-d448-48fe-b006-a85d51adf8a1.mpg The output file in video-out ends up having a single copy of DO_U_BEEMA. I do not understand why ffmpeg is not concatenating. Any help is dramatically appreciated,

  Hi, I have a SingletonClass, which has only one instance. I want to expand it and add to it a category (MoreFeatures). I created a source SingletonClass+MoreFeatures, which interface/implementation looks like that: @interface SingletonClass (MoreFeatures) - (void) feature; @end @implementation SingletonClass (MoreFeatures) - (void) feature() { } @end When I created my SingletonClass i followed the Apple's example of Singleton implementation in cocoa. This singleton resides in a project B, which is a dependency of a bigger project A. I can call for [[SingletonClass sharedInstance] foo] from a source in project A and it works in case that function foo is located in SingletonClass interface/implementation. When I try to call [[SingletonClass sharedInstance] feature] from a source in project A, I get a crash, which says that there is no method feature for class SingletonClass... Why it happens?   I have Debian based system (Ubuntu 11.10) on XEN VPS. I've installed OpenVPN and works great. I need to install PPTP too, so did it and clients can connect, but they have no internet on client side. If I connect to VPN over PPTP I can ping and access to only my VPS by its IP, but ony that. There's no "internet" on client side. It looks it's not DNS problems (I'm using 8.8.8.8) because I can't ping known IPs. I bet the solution is simple, but don't have any idea. PPTP won't work. 10.1.0.0/24 for PPTP (on ppp0). Clients can connect, but they haven't "internet". Any suggestions will be appreciated. Second whole day fighting with no results. EDIT: iptables -t filter -F - it resolved my problem :-)

• TFS 2008 warning when trying to add set-up project

  I have a similar problem to that mentioned here. However, mine is in TFS 2008. I get the following warning when trying to add a set-up project to an existing solution (either just create the set-up project or “add to source control”). The project that you are attempting to add to source control may cause other source control users to have difficulty opening this solution or getting newer versions of it. To avoid this problem, add the project from a location below the binding root of the other source controlled projects in the solution Continue / Cancel As with the question above, I think my folder structure is at fault. However, the current folder structure is as follows: Solution Main Project My guess is that, for some reason it’s trying to add the set-up project directly into the solution folder. So, is there a way to validate where it’s trying to add this without selecting “Continue” above? Alternatively, is there a way to force the set-up project to create in its own folder?

I can run the synamic code at runtime, but if I pause the execution Visual Studio doesn't show me the dinamic source code in the call stack. It says "External code" and I can't step into that source code. I think VS can't find PDB or other debug info. Can you help me?
