• (Joomla 1.6) Template position descriptions don't refresh

  I want to change a description of a template position, so when I go to Admin-Extensions-Module Manager I see a different description of a module position in the position list when I edit a module. However, when I change (for instance) the template 'beez_20' and want to rename the name of the position 'debug', I change the description (TPL_BEEZ_20_POSITION_DEBUG) in the language file 'languages\en-GB\en-GB.tpl_beez_20.sys.ini' to something different, say 'Abracadabra'. However, the changes don't appear in the position list and I can find no reference whatsoever of how or when the ini files are read or maybe cached. Does anyone has a clue?

• Audio output and input stopped working after the last update

  I'm using Ubuntu 14.04 and everything was perfect until todays's update. Now my audio output (speakers) and input (microphone) stopped working. I guess it's a driver issue, but I need help to debug this problem and to solve it. I have a Dell Inspiron 5421 notebook with an Intel audio integrated sound card: $ lspci | grep Audio 00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 7 Series/C210 Series Chipset Family High Definition Audio Controller (rev 04) If I go to Ubuntu Settings Sound Output, it doesn't show my Intel card there anymore: The same for the Input tab, it doesn's show my Intel card there anymore: Could you please help me?

• Strange behaviour when screencasting

  Since an update I did yesterday I am not able to screencast any video using Kazam, Recordmydesktop or even ffmpeg/aviconv. After the upgrade to some libraries (A normal update that showed in Update manager) the problem was this: When doing the screencast, scrolling inside an Apps window like Firefox, Chrome or Gedit is not shown. The video only shows the last image it recognized before I started scrolling. For example with Gedit, I have a lot of text on it and when I start to scroll down, the video only shows what I had in the beginning while I listen to myself talk about what is in the rest of the file (Which is not shown in the video). When opening a window, for example again Gedit or Chrome it might not show in the video, it will just show the desktop without the window opened. I do not see any error with dmesg, syslog or others. What can I check to debug this problem?

• Broadcom wireless card disappears after restart

  I used 'additional drivers' to install 'Broadcom STA wireless driver' and it returns an error. Within jockey.log it says the following numerous times. 2011-02-14 21:24:06,945 DEBUG: BroadcomWLHandler enabled(): kmod disabled, bcm43xx: blacklisted, b43: blacklisted, b43legacy: blacklisted After it returns the error the network card will work temporarily until I restart the laptop. When I restart I got to go through the procedure again of trying to activate the driver, returns an error however it works temporarily. The network card is as follows on a Dell Inspiron 1545: Broadcom Corporation BCM4312 802.11b/g LP-PHY [14e4:4315] Rev 01 I have been trying to solve this myself for many hours. Any help is appreciated/

• How to draw a texture to a MS Terrain object - Farseer

  I'm using Farseer to make a game in XNA and I can't seem to figure this out. I've decided to use MSTerrain for making my game's terrain because I wanted destructible terrain and MSTerrain seemed like the best bet. Unfortunately, I'm stumped on how to actually show the terrain. When I generate the terrain it's visible in debug view, but MSTerrain does not have a Draw method, so I'm wondering how it is supposed to be drawn to the screen? Is it worth pursuing? I'm starting to think that MSTerrain is more trouble than it's worth, is there another better way to do this with bodies? I appreciate any help you can give. Thanks.

• Print all values in a value object

  I have to debug an issue which requires me to print all the values of a Value Object that is returned by a web service call. The Value object is a complex object in the sense, it has another object as its member which in turn has another object. Printing all the values by using get methods is cumbersome. So was wondering if there is a way to break down the value object by any way to get to a primitive level like String or int or Date and print them all using one API? I had a look at the below question but my prob is that i don't have access to the source code of the value object. • As good as no bounces are registered in Google Analytics [on hold]

  For a client I am having an issue for which I can't find an explanation. For some reason, bounces are no longer measured (or almost none) in GA. In GA I can see that the issue started in January 2013. I have been looking at the code inside and out, but I can't find any reason why. On the production site, there is (will be removed soon) a POST done on page load, so I thought that Google might see this as user interaction, hence never counting a bounce, but on staging i removed this POST and in the GA account for staging, still no bounces are registered. I have also checked if the tracking code appears twice on the page, and this is not the case. I tried with the GA debug plugin in Firefox and Chrome to see if that would learn me anything, but no luck... The site in question is www.kiala.be.

• Ubuntu 14.10 no GUI or term login

  I have updated yesterday my Ubuntu 14.10 installation with apt-get dist-upgrade. I was working all afternoon and after that I have rebooted computer. Once done it, lightdm doesn't starts (only gnome logo) and I can not view any of Ctrl + Shift + [1-6] terminals (cursor is blinking). I have read a lot of posts with no success: nividia/intel conflicts (I have a laptop with an Intel graphic card) I have enabled nomodeset and tried all this options My computer boots to a black screen, what options do I have to fix it? I have repaired grub I can load recovery/livecd/windows and mount partitions and network without problem I have all packages and system updated Here my logs. X11 not shows any error or problem, is loading all needed drivers without problem. How can I raise the level of debug? Best regards.

• Debugging random reboots

  I'm running Ubuntu 14.04 with 3.16.1 kernel compiled from source, and when I leave my PC running for a long time, it always reboots after about 4-8 days. Nothing is displayed on the screen, everything just freezes for about 3 seconds (and if there was any sound playing, it keeps repeating over and over), and then reboots. This issue also affects kernels compiled by Canonical's build bots. I already tried to debug it with: rsyslog kexec-tools netconsole kernel module None of them seem to be working however. Are there any better methods to check, what exactly fails here? If there's an issue with RAM for example, shouldn't kernel report this in dmesg, or cause a kernel panic?

• Wireless mouse temporarily freezes when resume from standby

  I have been getting a very annoying problem since recently in Ubuntu 12.04, probably due to another update that did more bad than good... When I resume from sleep on my Lenovo Thinkpad T420, my wireless laser mouse (Logitech M705) freezes at regular intervals (15.20 seconds) for 5 seconds then works again. This happens regardless if the computer is on battery or on AC power. How do I debug this? I am getting tired of the fact that my system gets more and more unstable over time while it should be the opposite...

• RedirectToAction help: or better suggestion

  Still getting my feet wet with asp.net mvc. I have a working Action and httppost action but I want to replace the "iffy" code with a RedirectToAction call because the code is rather large for what it does. A call using RedirectToAction would clean it up more. Every way I've tried it fails to work for me in that the drop down list fails to have the proper item selected. The code below works fine but calling RedirectToAction the was I have been does not work for me. So how can i rework the code below to use RedirectToAction ? • Installshield Development Error durring the Installation process

  Hey guys, I've been stuck by a problem for the past couple days that makes no sense to me. My installer builds fine in the Installshiled IDE but when it is about to finish the installation, int gets two errors then rollbacks: installation failure. Right when the install bar is at about 100%, an error box pops up that states this: "Error 1001.Exception occurred while initializing the installation: System.IO.FileLoadException: Attempt to load an unverifiable executable with fixups (IAT with more than 2 sections or a TLS section.) (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131019)." The box pops up once, then the installer flashes its status to "rollback" then pops up another error box, then once 'ok'ed it procedes to rollback as usual. I don't understand that error message so i looked in the msi loggings and found this: "InstallShield 13:20:08: Initializing Property Bag... Is this a registering command system that makes it attemp or what? I've been scouring the web all day and I've found some ideas, but I havent seen any solutions as of yet. The installers that I've tried(and failed) have always needed to be Setup.exes, when i try to build a .msi only setup I get this error message. It may help someone who knows more about this system than I do. Your project contains InstallShield prerequisites. A Setup.exe setup launcher is required if you are build a release that includes InstallShield prerequisites. Change your release settings to build Setup.exe, or remove the prerequisites from your project. -7076 There's nothing on the site that has anything from the error code, so I'm at a loss. • WMD editor freezes IE7 for 3 seconds on load

  Hello all, I am using the WMD editor's original code(not the stackoverflow version) since I need multiple of 'em on the same page and stackoverflow's version makes heavy use of element IDs internally since they aren't going to be having more than one editor instance per page. The code runs fin in FF 3.5, etc.. However, when I run it in IE8 (in IE7 compatibility mode), it freezes the whole browser for about 3 sec. before a new instance shows up. I tried profiling it with IE's dev. tools, and it seems that the getWidth() function on line 520 of the minified version of the code is taking up all the time. However, when I tried to hard-code the return (since it was always returning the same thing), the bottleneck shifted to the getHeight() function.   I've recently purchased a new hard drive and installed a clean copy of OS X Mavericks. I installed python using homebrew and i need to create a python virtual environment. But when ever i try to run any command using pip, I get this error. I haven't been able to find a solution online for this problem. Any reference would be appreciated. Here is the error I'm getting.   We are getting this exception when we start our cluster (2 managed servers, 1 admin), we have deployed only the ears corresponding to the OBPM 10.3.1 SP1 in a weblogic 10.3. When the server cluster starts, one of the managed servers (the first to start) get overloaded and ran out of connections to the directory DB because of this repeatedly error. • MSBUILD ClickOnce Error: Deployment and application do not have matching security zones

  We're trying to publish a ClickOnce application through msbuild. We've got it working fine for an installed version of the windows application. However, when we set install to false so that it just runs the app from the web we get the following error when we try to run the application from the URL: "Deployment and application do not have matching security zones" This works fine in IE. We only get the error message in Chrome and FireFox.
