  How do I get VLC to play on the second monitor on Windows? On Mac OS, there is an option in the video menu "fullscreen video device". Windows doesn't seem to have that option. There are various options in the DirectX settings that let you select a monitor, but they don't seem to work simply.

  I have Nokia 5800 and want to import contacts, sms and other non-media(music, video) stuff to my Mac. I have connected to the phone via bluetooth with "Nokia Multimedia Transfer" application, which i downloaded from Nokia.com. I see the filesystem, that is devided to phone's memory and memory card. They are much configurations files on that filesystems, but i have not found the files, which stores the desired stuff (sms, contacts). Where are they ?

• RHEL json gem installation requires make?

  When I try to install json gem (gem install json), at first it fails to do so, because of some dev package issue. After fixing it, it fails saying that "sh: make: command not found" and "ERROR: Error installing json: ERROR: Failed to build gem native extension.". Why is it failing on make? Notice this is not Mac, this is in RHEL 5 (4 or 5, not sure). Why is it not able to do some "build gem native extension"?

Broadcast packets "Who has 192.168.14.149" reach eth0 but OS (Linux) doesn't respond despite eth0 has address 192.168.14.149. What connection exists between routing and arp resolution?

The problem is, I believe it is also giving more power to my keyboard and trackpad. And now, neither devices are working at all, yet they work on Mac OS X. So does anyone know the amount of power MacBook Pro (2007) keyboards and trackpads use, and how I can set these settings in Windows 7?

Fortunately most of the data was properly backed up and most of the other important data could be retrieved by hooking up the drive with the help of an external USB enclosure, but the problem is that my home directory has been encrypted with FileVault and I currently don't have easy access to a Mac. So can the FileVault sparsebundle be somehow decrypted and read with Linux?

  I'm getting the following error when I launch :FuzzyFinderTextmate in vim: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/533753/Screen%20shot%202010-04-27%20at%2011.14.45%20AM.png It's loading the ruby file fine (from /.vim/ruby/fuzzy_file_finder.rb) And the original FuzzyFinder plugin works fine. I can't figure this one out, I've reinstalled everything twice. I'm using Mac Vim.

  I am familiar with using both Versions and Cornerstone on Mac - they are fantastic and incredibly simple to use... but I don't want to always rely on being able to borrow my girlfriend's MacBook so need to find an alternative for my Windows machine.   Hi, I recently have moved my server and changed nameservers and ip, i updated my domain. but somehow in windows 7 when i go to my domain, it resolves old ip even though mac os x shows the new site. Then i edited hosts file with the new ip in windows, it is ok now. but why this happens ? is it about isp cache or sth ? thanks

  I have a nice little USB light which has no off switch, it is 'on' for the duration of being plugged in. My question is, is there a way of disabling the USB port so as to turn off the light while it is still plugged in? Preferably, this could be done from the command line, but if it's possible at all that would be really cool regardless. There was a beautiful monospaced font (I think it was for 100x40 or 100x50, but my memory could be wrong).
