  • How do I install and use the cli53 tools on Windows?

    I'm trying to find the simplest way to import a large number of BIND zone files in to Route 53. I've had a quick look at the AWS CLI and AWS Tools for Windows PowerShell but they don't seem to include a zone file import option like the AWS Route53 GUI does. The cli53 utility on the other hand does, but is written in Python and appears to have a series of pre-requisites to get going which I'm having troubles working out for Windows. I can find plenty of examples of setting it up under Linux but only one reference to a PowerShell example here, but it doesn't explain how to install cli53 in the first place. The other option I'm exploring is to use the BIND to Amazon Route 53 Conversion Tool perl script to first convert the zone files to the Route53 CreateHostedZoneRequest XML format and then use the AWS New-R53HostedZone PowerShell cmdlet to import the zones. After the zones have been imported I'll be looking at running a script to validate what has been created in Route53 matches with the existing nameserver prior to updating each domains nameserver records - I was planning on whipping something up using the new PS4.0 Resolve-DnsName cmdlet, but let me know if you have any better suggestions. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated - thanks. (By the way, I had more reference links in my post but ServerFault won't allow me to post more than 2 links being a new member; and for this same reason I also can't comment on Vasili's example in the other linked thread)

  • LiteSpeed enable Access-Control-Allow-Origin (no response header on CORS request)

    Seriously, I can't find a single page discussing this for litespeed. Using this format in the htaccess "Header set Access-Control-Allow-Origin http://aSite.com" (and https) sends the setting in the http response header, but I still get the "XMLHttpRequest cannot load https://aSite.com/aFile.php. Origin aSite.com is not allowed by Access-Control-Allow-Origin" error when trying to access https from http origin. Also, I receive no response header for https, only that message shows up in Chrome. Is the server still blocking it even though I've sent the proper headers? I read elsewhere that it helps to add these terms Access-Control-Allow-Headers X-Requested-With Access-Control-Allow-Methods OPTIONS, GET, POST Access-Control-Allow-Headers Content-Type, Depth, User-Agent, X-File-Size, X-Requested-With, If-Modified-Since, X-File-Name, Cache-Control but I don't see these in my headers. Using these, my PHP files aren't even reached (because they register no errors or anything), so it looks like it comes from the server only, but what do I know. Thanks in advance! The problem is whenever we attempt to work with columns in a list (add or update) we get the following error: Culture ID 1164 (0x048C) is not a supported culture. Parameter name: culture This error happen on existing lists as well as newly created lists. Any assistance is appreciated.

    Hi, I tried to move my mysql data dir from one disk to another, I modified the datadir parameter in my.cnf, but when XAMPP, and more precisely, MySQL starts, this error is displayed and MySQL doesn't run.     I am using the net.tcp protocol for various web services. When I reboot my Windows 7 Ultimate (64-bit) macbook pro, the service never restarts automatically, even though that is how they are set: The only relevant events I can see are in the System Event Log: Error 6/9/2011 19:47 Service Control Manager 7001 None The Net.Tcp Listener Adapter service depends on the Net.Tcp Port Sharing Service service which failed to start because of the following error: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion." Error 6/9/2011 19:47 Service Control Manager 7000 None The Net.Tcp Port Sharing Service service failed to start due to the following error: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion." Error 6/9/2011 19:47 Service Control Manager 7009 None A timeout was reached (30000 milliseconds) while waiting for the Net.Tcp Port Sharing Service service to connect. This post suggests that it's something else blocking the port (in the post it's SCCM 2007 R3 Client which I don't use). What else could be the problem? If it's something else blocking the port, how do I figure out what? When I manually start the services, they start correctly. Dependencies are: Net.Tcp Port Sharing Service Net.Tcp Listener Adapter Still no luck, but I think the problem might be that my network connection takes too long to come up. I put in a custom view of the event log, and found these items: The first in the series says: A timeout was reached (30000 milliseconds) while waiting for the Net.Tcp Port Sharing Service service to connect.

  • Automating video generation by adding an intro and a trailing video to the main video

    I have a video project I am trying to compile. Here is the overview: I have many videos which are 5 minute training sessions - Main video. The Intro Video will be a standard 5 second video that will have the Video title and Author. This will be concatenated to the main video. The Trailing Video will pretty much be a stock video that will be concatenated to the main video and have all the legaleze etc. The Intro Vid will smoothly fade into the main vid as well as when you get to end of the main video it will fade into the Trailing video nicely. The product is a new video with a Intro, Main & Trailer video all in one! The concept is really that simple. In fact I found an example of a person who has solved this and is doing exactly what I want. This solution is a Bash script that takes a config file that has the title, author, etc. and generates the Intro, the Ending and creates the resulting video with them concatenated. I am using Ubuntu 12.04 Server. I have been trying to take this as a sample and just running it with no luck because of incompatibility errors. I even attempted to convert it using .MP4 containers or .MKV. I am running into error after error or incompatibility issues. I went as far as changing out the ffmpeg binary using the 25 Oct 2013 version from http://ffmpeg.gusari.org/static/64bit/ which I like as I don't have to worry about rebuilding the binary. Almost successful but again I have some error which I cannot solve. I know part of the problem is the fact that video production, codecs, formats is a completely new field for me so I am attempting to work through this new territory. Perhaps an expert here has something similar that I can use as a guideline that uses MP4 or h.264 format. Or take the solution above from the URL and make it work with a more up-to-date version of ffmpeg. I will include the script and its parameter file and the output (abbreviated because of limitation) below. Basically as the script stands right now, when run I get the error [matroska,webm @ 0x27bbee0] Read error. This error is return from the 'reasembleVideo' routine from the first ffmpeg command. The following is the Parameter File: #!/bin/bash INPUTFILE="ssh_main.mp4" LOGO="logo.png" LOGOLENGTH="1" SPEAKER="Jason" TITLE="Basic SSH Video" DATE="October 28, 2013" SCENESTART="00:00:01" SCENEDURATION="00:00:09" OUTPUTFILE="ssh_basic_1" } The following is the script I am running. However, it doesn't seem to be working for me.   • Problem posting multipart form data using Apache with mod_proxy to a mongrel instance

    I am attempting to simulate my site's production environment as closely as I can on my local machine. This is a rails site that uses Apache w/ mod_proxy to forward requests to a mongrel cluster. On my Mac OSX Leopard machine, I have the default install of apache running and have configured a vhost to use mod_proxy to to forward requests to a local running mongrel instance on port 3000. <Proxy balancer://mongrel_cluster-development> BalancerMember http://127.0.0.1:3000 </Proxy> For the most part, this is working fine. I can browse my development site using the ServerName of the vhost I configured and can confirm that requests are being properly forwarded to the mongrel instance. However, there is a page on the site that has a multipart form that is used to upload an image to the server. When I post this form, there is a delay of about 5 minutes and the browser ultimately returns a Bad Request Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand. In the error log for my vhost: [Tue Sep 22 09:47:57 2009] [error] (70007)The timeout specified has expired: proxy: prefetch request body failed to 127.0.0.1:3000 (127.0.0.1) from ::1 () This same form works fine if I browse directly to the mongrel instance (http://127.0.0.1:3000). Anybody have any idea what the problem might be and how to fix it? If there is any important information that I neglected to include, post a comment, and I can add to this question. Note: Upon further investigation, this appears to be a problem specific to Safari. The form works fine in Firefox.

I tried to do that using Collada.The Collada 1.3 importer doesn't seem to do anything, the Collada 1.4 importer seems to work, but the animation didn't get imported into Blender.   • Laptop Asus P50IJ with Intel 4500M GMA output going to a Dell 1907FP external monitor will not allow

    Hello - I just purchased an Asus P50IJ-X2 laptop which has a Intel GMA 4500M video card running Windows7. At work I output this laptop to a Dell 1907FP LCD which has a maximum resolution of 1280x1024. Not matter what I do the Windows will not allow the laptop to set a resolution higher than 1024x768 to this LCD monitor. Ive even gone to the extent of downloading PowerStrip (I'd post a link but Im new and can only enter 1 url, if you google for powerstrip its the first option) to create a custom driver for my monitor thinking Windows was having a hard time seeing the available resolutions it would accept. However, powerstrip read the registery and properly sees the monitor and what its capable of so Im now at a complete loss as to why Windows7 will not allow me to set/use a 1280x1024 resolution for this external monitor (as my last laptop did running Vista). The Intel documentation (http://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/quick-reference-guide-to-intel-integrated-graphics/) indicates that the GMA 4500M should be able to run up to a 2560x1600 max res. The Dell 1907FP specification states it can run up to a 1280x1024 res. But no matter what the computer will not allow me to set higher than a 1024x768. I'm completely baffled but I would really like to be able to output this laptop to a reasonable resolution, 1024x768 makes me feel like I'm using my mom's computer. Any help would be greatly appreciated!   • Disable "longhaul" kernel module with a GRUB command?

    I've got a problem with a VIA C3 (1GHz)-system: the system freezes immediately when the CPU frequency goes under 731MHz because of an incompatibility with the (not completely implemented) i686 commands and a powersave feature of the kernel. There is a workaround: deactivate the "longhaul" kernelmodule via alias longhaul off in /etc/modprobe.d/aliases. But the system freezes before I can install any Linux distribution - even Clonezilla freezes. Is there a possibility to deactivate the module with a GRUB boot parameter before the kernel is loaded?
