  • get a range of objects with binary search

    I have some data like this: ID Value 1 AAA 1 ABC 2 dasd 2 dsfdsf 2 dsfsd 3 df 3 dwqef they are objects(not plain text). and i want to get all objects with the ID = 2. I can do a binary binary search and get the index 3,but how can i get (2 and 4) is there any efficient algorithm? the real problem has lists with about one Million items. any language except bf and lisp can help.

    I have a image (png file) with opacity 35%, i want for example: Set the opacity image to a panel BackgroundImage, the panel is over a form with backcolor black, i thought (like in photoshop happen) that the opacity of the image will do a more clear color in the panel area, but the real result is that panel appear entire white, someone know how i can do this efect in windows forms?

  • KDevelop has no build menu.

    I have just installed KDevelop on my Ubuntu machine (KDevelop 3.9.95 on Ubuntu 9.10) with sudo apt-get install kdevelop I created a new project with the "Hello World" program in it, but there doesn't appear to be any way to compile anything. The manuals refer to the build menu but there isn't one, all all compile options on the other menus are greyed out. Does anyone know what I have done wrong?

    I'm probably going about this the wrong way but... I’ve added a field to the User Profile called profile_real_name which is required by the user. Is there a way to access the details in CCK? For example in CCK when creating a new field I can access the user’s username with the ‘User reference’ Field type and setting the ‘Widget type’ to ‘Autocomplete text field’. Both alone are fine but when I try to implement a Google Map into a Dojo content pane which is embedded in a border-container it simply does not work.     Though it's on the edge of programming questions, I think this is still relevant here, as only those of us actually doing the coding for a site would be considering this. I've been reading more about keyword placement, and it seems to me like a good place to do keyword placement would be in the class and id names chosen for the elements they are representing. I'm not talking about any kind of black-hat keyword stuffing thing but real legitimate use of descriptive keywords for elements. Is this something that is actively done for SEO?
