Text misaligns in IE

I have a fixed table setting in pixels instead of percentages, so I don't understand why this is an issue. I want the text in the cells to stay in the same position when zooming. The code must be manipulated from the code behind, so I cannot create a separate CSS file. Any help is appreciated. Here are two examples to illustrate what I'm talking about: Normal zoom at 100%: Zoom at 75%: Notice in the second image the two table cells at the bottom are slightly offset to the left. UPDATE: Yes, I understand, we will be implementing a new system in the near future. Obviously this is old and very non-standard, this was dropped in my lap when I started working with it. And we're coming up with plans for a new system to replace it, in the meantime, this is what I have to deal with.

Setting hidden input value in Javascript, then accessing it in c# codebehind

Thank you for reading my question. I have been trying to set the value of a hidden input by using Javascript and then access the value from within my C# codebehind. When I run the code that is copied below, the value that is assigned to assignedIDs is "", which I assume is the default value for a hidden input. If I manually set the value in the html tag, then assignedIDs is set to that value. This behavior suggests to me that the value of the input is being reset (re-rendered?) between the onClientClick and onClick events firing. I would appreciate any help with the matter. How to cleverly stop "while loop" (php)

I'm having trouble with creating code that echoes a bunch of stuff that is corresponding to the mysql database row. It needs to keep creating the content until all rows are used and then stop. But for some reason the php file causes the browser to keep loading (it never ends). Any help would be appreciated! can't implement jquery jScrollPane to replace browser's scrollbars

I am trying to replace browser's scrollbars with jScrollPane (jQuery), it won't work. Here are two attempts to implement it: a basic attempt, and an attempt to imitate the full page demo for jScrollPane. How can i possibly get those buttons to act as the trigger while changing only what appears in the main content area. Plus, i tried getting the updatepanel to work just so i could see if it does the update well but it turned out really bad. i added some linkbottons in the content template area and used them as the triggers for testing reasons. i tested and the changes took over the entire page in contrast to just appearing in the content area. I actually just wanted to load a form that is created in another asp. page into the main content area... I seriously need help with this... As you see, I got two similar duplicate functions to handle events. Users go to the page, the widget read the cookies variable to display contact info (locale2contact)and preselect the drop-down menu (function build_dropdown) If users select the drop down menu, the displya contact info change (function changeContactInfo), and then I need to rebuild the drop down menu with user previously selection (function build_dropdown2). I am looking for best practices for adding this functionality to RightNow widget. Thank you. I really do not like the way i am doing now. It works; but the code looks bad.

CSS: Horizontal UL: Getting it centered

I'm trying to make a horizontal menu/list. It has a mix of independent buttons and buttons that are wrapped in their own individual forms. With much hacking I got all of the buttons, in forms and not in forms to align horizontally. I haven't been able to get the whole thing to center on the page though. PHP database selection issue

I'm in a bit of a pickle with freshening up my PHP a bit, it's been about 3 years since I last coded in PHP. Any insights are welcomed! I'll give you as much information as I possibly can to resolve this error so here goes! Using resize to getScript if above x pixels (jQuery)

So I have an issue with this script. It basically is loading the script on any resize event. I have it working if lets say... - User has window size above 768 (getScipt() and content by .load() in that script) - Script will load (and content) - User for some reason window size goes below 768 (css hides #div) - User re-sizes again above 768, And does not load the script again! (css displays the div) Great. Works right. Now.. (for some cray reason) - User has window size below 768 (Does NOT getScript() or nothing) - User re-sizes above 768 and stops at any px (getScript and content) - User re-sizes again anything above 768 (It getScript AGAIN) I need it to only get script once. Ive used some code from here jQuery: How to detect window width on the fly? (edit - i found this, which he has the same issue of loading a script once.) Problem with function within $(window).resize - using jQuery And others i lost the links to :/ When i first found this problem I was using something like this, then i added the allcheckWidth() to solve problem. Setting hidden input value in Javascript, then accessing it in codebehind

I have been trying to set the value of a hidden input by using Javascript and then access the value from within my C# codebehind. When I run the code that is copied below, the value that is assigned to assignedIDs is "", which I assume is the default value for a hidden input. If I manually set the value in the html tag, then assignedIDs is set to that value. This behavior suggests to me that the value of the input is being reset (re-rendered?) between the onClientClick and onClick events firing. I would appreciate any help with the matter. How can I hit my database with an AJAX call using javascript?

I am pretty new at this stuff, so bear with me. I am using ASP.NET MVC. I have created an overlay to cover the page when someone clicks a button corresponding to a certain database entry. Because of this, ALL of my code for this functionality is in a .js file contained within my project. What I need to do is pull the info corresponding to my entry from the database itself using an AJAX call, and place that into my textboxes. Then, after the end-user has made the desired changes, I need to update that entry's values to match the input. I've been surfing the web for a while, and have failed to find an example that fits my needs effectively. Strange behaviour when simply adding strings in Lazarus - FreePascal

The program has several "encryption" algorithms. This one should blockwise reverse the input. "He|ll|o " becomes "o |ll|He" (block length of 2). I add two strings, in this case appending the result string to the current "block" string and making that the result. When I add the result first and then the block it works fine and gives me back the original string. But when i try to reverse the order it just gives me the the last "block". REST WCF service locks thread when called using AJAX in an ASP.Net site

I have a WCF REST service consumed in an ASP.Net site, from a page, using AJAX. I want to be able to call methods from my service async, which means I will have callback handlers in my javascript code and when the methods finish, the output will be updated. The methods should run in different threads, because each method will take different time to complete their task I have the code semi-working, but something strange is happening because the first time I execute the code after compiling, it works, running each call in a different threads but subsequent calls blocs the service, in such a way that each method call has to wait until the last call ends in order to execute the next one. And they are running on the same thread. Handling a Long Running jsp request on the server using Ajax and threads

I am trying to implement a solution for a long running process on the server where it is taking about 10 min to process a pdf generation request. The browser bored/timesout at the 5 mins. I was thinking to deal with this using a Ajax and threads. I am using regular javascript for ajax. But I am stuck with it. CSS height doesn't work perfectly in firefox
