  • reorder list elements - jQuery?

    Hello, I am experimenting with jQuery lately, and I was wondering if it's possible with js or pure jquery to reorder <li> elements. So if I have a silly list like the following: <ul> <li>Foo</li> <li>Bar</li> <li>Cheese</li> </ul> How would I move the list elements around? Like put the list element with Cheese before the list element with Foo or move Foo to after Bar. So is it possible? If so, how? Thanks!!

    I have done a program string[] arrExposureValues = stock.ExposureCollection[dt] .Values.ToArray(); for(int i=0;i<arrExposureValues .length;i++) Console.WriteLine(arrExposureValues[i]); Nothing wrong and works fine. But is it possible to do something like the below for(int i=0;i<stock.ExposureCollection[dt].Count;i++) Console.WriteLine(stock.ExposureCollection[dt].Values[i]); This is just for my sake of knowledge (Basically trying to accomplish the same in one line). Note: ExposureCollection is a dictionary object Dictionary<DateTime, Dictionary<string, string>> First of all I have the doubt if it is at all possible! I am using C#3.0. Thanks.

    Is it possible to programmatically change settings on a Netgear wireless router using C#? I have settings that I change often and I would like to create my own interface for making those changes. Currently I navigate to the admin web page (10.0.0.1) and it prompts me for a username and password. After I authenticate I can use the web interface to change the router's configuration. If this isn't possible with Netgear, do any outher wireless routers have an API for developers? Thanks! Darvis

  • Scalling connected lines

    Hello, I have some kind of a shape consisting of vertical, horizontal and diagonal lines. I have starting X,Y and ending X,Y (this is my input - just 2 points defining a line) of each line and I would like to make the whole shape scalable (just by changing the value of a scale ratio variable), so that I can still preserve the proper connection of the lines and the proportions as well. Just for getting a better idea of what I mean: it'd be as if I had the same lines in a vector editor. Would that be possible with an algorithm, and could you please, give me another possible solution if there is no such algorithm ? Thank you very much in advance!

  • Can you make VB.NET compilation as strict as C#?

    In VB.NET, it is entirely possible to pass an integer as a string parameter to a method without calling .ToString() - it's even possible to call .ToString without the ()'s. The code will run without a problem, VB will interpret the integer as a string without having been told to. In C#, these would cause compilation errors - you are required to call .ToString() and to call it correctly in that situation before it will compile. Is there a way to make the VB compilation process check for the same things as the C# compilation process? Would it be best practice in a mixed team to force this check?

    Hey guys, I have a program that allows me to run queries against a large database. I have two tables that are important right now, Deposits and withdraws. Each contains a history of every user. I need to take each table, add up every deposit and withdraws (per user), then subtract the withdraws from the deposits. I then need to return every user whos result is negative (aka they withdrew more then they deposited). Is this possible in one query? Example: Deposit Table: |ID|UserName|Amount| |1 | Use1 |100.00| |2 | Use1 |50.00 | |3 | Use2 |25.00 | |4 | Use1 | 5.00 | WithDraw Table: |ID|UserName|Amount| |2 | Use2 | 5.00 | |1 | Use1 |100.00| |4 | Use1 | 5.00 | |3 | Use2 |25.00 | So then the result would output: |OverWithdrawers| | Use2 | Is this possible (I sure don't know how to do it)?     My question is rather complicated for me to explain, as i'm not really good at maths, but i'll try to be as clear as possible. I'm trying to code a cluster in python, which will generate words given a charset (i.e. with lowercase: aaaa, aaab, aaac, ..., zzzz) and make various operations on them. I'm searching how to calculate, given the charset and the number of nodes, what range each node should work on (i.e.: node1: aaaa-azzz, node2: baaa-czzz, node3: daaa-ezzz, ...). Is it possible to make an algorithm that could compute this, and if it is, how could i implement this in python? I really don't know how to do that, so any help would be much appreciated

  • Can Silverlight be linked with a C++ static library ?

    Hi, I'm currently doing research to start a new project. This project will be in 2 parts a light Client (probably console) and an heavy one using silverlight. The light client must be cross-platform. However, they will both use the same Core (by the way, the core will need to use the sockets). I'd like to use C++ to build the light client but given that the core is common to both applications, it would be much appreciated if it's could be the same code. So the question is quite simple : Can Silverlight be compilated with a C++ static library ? And if it's possible, what about cross-platform issues (with moonlight) ? If it's not possible. Which language can i use to work with silverlight while being cross-platform ? Because of performance, a compilated language will be better ! Thanks for your expertise :)

    I am new to SSL programming and finding some difficulties in understanding SSL concepts. I tried to get it through openssl site,but it is not much informative. Here is my doubts. What is difference between SSL Buffer and BIO buffer..? I mean layerwise detail will be very helpful. Can I use SSL_Write and SSL_Read without setting any BIO object to SSL object..? What exactly BIO_flush will do... I mean is it going to flush all the data to network buffer from BIO buffer.. ? If it is possible to do write and read data from SSL directly without using any BIO object then is it possible to flush the data from SSL buffer to network buffer by any means.. ? It would be very helpful if any body explain these things or giving any links where I can find answers to my questions.

    I have a class with protected constructor: class B { protected: B(){}; }; Now I derive from it and define two static functions and I manage to actually create objects of the class B, but not on the heap: class A : public B { public: static B createOnStack() {return B();} //static B* createOnHeap() {return new B;} //Compile time Error on VS2010 }; B b = A::createOnStack(); //This works on VS2010! The question is: 1) Is VS2010 wrong in allowing the first case? 2) Is it possible to create objects of B without modifying B in any way (no friendship and no extra functions).     I have a graph that starts off with a single, root node. Nodes are added one by one to the graph. At node creation time, they have to be linked either to the root node, or to another node, by a single edge. Edges can also be created and deleted (one by one, between any two nodes). Nodes can be deleted one at a time. Node and edge creation, deletion operations can happen in any arbitrary order. OK, so here's my question: When an edge is deleted, is it possible do determine, in constant time (i.e. with an O(1) algorithm), if doing this will divide the graph into two disjoint subgraphs? If it will, then which side of the edge will the root node belong? I'm willing to maintain, within reasonable limits, any additional data structure that can facilitate the derivation of this information. Maybe it is not possible to do it in O(1), if so any pointers to literature will be appreciated.

    It is not possible to fire an event in C# that has no handlers attached to it. So before each call it is necessary to check if the event is null. if ( MyEvent != null ) { MyEvent( param1, param2 ); } I would like to keep my code as clean as possible and get rid of those null checks. I don't think it will affect performance very much, at least not in my case. MyEvent( param1, param2 ); Right now I solve this by adding an empty inline handler to each event manually. This is error prone, since I need to remember to do that etc. void Initialize() { MyEvent += new MyEvent( (p1,p2) => { } ); } Is there a way to generate empty handlers for all events of a given class automatically using reflection and some CLR magic?

    Table_1 D_ID Integer Deposit_amt integer Table_2 Total_ID Total_amt integer Is it possible to write a select statement to find all the rows in Table_1 whose Deposit_amt sum to the Total_amt in Table_2. There are multiple rows in both tables. Say the first row in Table_2 has a Total_amt=100. I would want to know that in Table_1 the rows with D_ID 2, 6, 12 summed = 100, the rows D_ID 2, 3, 42 summed = 100, etc. Help appreciated. Let me know if I need to clarify. I am asking this question as someone as part of their job has a list of transactions and a list of totals, she needs to find the possible list of transactions that could have created the total. I agree this sounds dangerous as finding a combination of transactions that sums to a total does not guarantee that they created the total. I wasn't aware it is an np-complete problem.
