I found it very difficult to configure linked resource in Eclipse CDT. Folder "wspolne" is located somewhere in the system, I'd like to use .cpp .h files from it in my current project, but avoid copying it. From what i read about Linked Resources is a solution, but I can't build a projct :/
I followed instuctions described here with out any result: stackoverflow.com/questions/1907275/in-eclipse-cdt-shared-resource-folder-that-is-built-differently-for-the-project. What's wrong ?

Hi,
I am working with a django project, I haven't started. The developed working on the project left. During the knowledge transfer, it was told to me that all the events are logged to the database. I don't find the database interface useful to search for logs and sometimes they don't even log(I might be wrong). I want to know, if there is an easy tutorial that explains how to enable logging in Django with minimal configuration changes.
Thank you
Bala
WPF code behind is not displayed in the Visual Studio project view, yet is compiled with the project and is available in IntelliSense. This code behind file (Window1.g.i.cs, for example), is generated by a custom tool.
I would like the files generated by my custom tool to be hidden as well, but I cannot find any documentation on how this is done. How can I do this?
I use the previewKeyDown() function for some controls in my project but they always get called twice for each key press. Anyone who knows how to solve this?
And is there anyway to do a global keylistener in my project?
Hi SO community
I have been issued a problem with security. A bank will not allow use of DLL's in the project. What sort of structure would be needed to allow DataAccess and or the use of external services (like an email client mailchimp, icontct).
has anyone else encountered this sort of problem before? If they have how should the project be structured (.net 3.5+).
Thanks,
KJ
when opening a solution from a visual studio w/o source control, visual studio just complains about every project in the solution that can't be register with source control, when the number of project is big, it's really annoying.

I am at a loss as to why my Shell.xaml's ItemsControl is causing a parse error. I know the syntax is correct because I copied the Silvelright project files from a working project.
Right now my only guess is that ItemsControl is dependent on something else.
Here is the relevant xaml line for ItemsControl.
<ItemsControl x:Name="Region"
VerticalAlignment="Center"
HorizontalAlignment="Center"
Regions:RegionManager.RegionName="Region"/>
I am working on a project that stores multiple versions in the same svn repo but in different directories. For ease of reference for the coders working on the project I'd like to be able to add a commented tag similarly to
# $Revision: 144 $
However, instead of the file revision it should contain a simple version number like so:
# $Version: 1.63 $
# $Version: 1.64 $
# $Version: 2.0 $
Is there a way to get subversion to do this automatically for a specific directory and all sub-directories as well as for any new files added to those?
Can anyone recommend a light Java IDE that doesn't require you to make new projects each time you want to compile and run a program? I just want to be able to open java files and compile and run them. I have already tried Eclipse and NetBeans but both require you to make a new project each time you want to compile and run a program. Making a new project is fine for large scale projects but for small school assignments this just makes the process more tedious.
Thanks
Hi,
I want to compile a project (with CruiseControl) not only if its source changes, but also if some dependencies change.
example:
I got 3 folders:
c:\myProject\src (my source folder)
c:\dependency1\src (source code of dependency 1)
c:\dependency2\output (dll of dependency 2)
I want to compile my project in cruisecontrol if anything in one of these folders change.
How can I configure this in my ccnet.config?
bye and thanks

Hello,
Does adding a Web Service to my ASP.NET MVC project break the whole concept of MVC?
That Web Service (WCF) depends on the Model layer from my MVC project to communicate with the back-end (so it looks to me like it needs to be part of the MVC solution).
Should I add this to the Controller or Model layer?
I'm building an open source project from source,
and it need to include <mysql.h>:
#if USE_MYSQL
#include <mysql.h>

MySQL is yet another greater open source project,what do I need to do to make it work?
Code hosting sites such as github and bitbucket have public api's to retrieve statistics of project repositories. Is there such an api in google code or any other way to retrieve statistics about a google code project repository?
I cannot get rid of this in my VS 2008 web project when debugging. I've checked that it's in debug mode on the non-web project in question and it's in Active(Debug). Deleted all items in my .NET 2.0 temp folder in Windows. Not sure what else to do here.
Hello
I would like to store my code on a repository such as Google Code. What kind of license should I use? I don't want to block me. My code may be open source and reused by others but I want to be able to reuse it in any open source project or not, and gainful project or not.
Thank you.

Hello,
I'm looking for good tutorials/books on Gnu Tool Chain and Gnu Build System.
To be more specific, I am looking for information which shows me with an example how to construct/build a project from the scratch to a full fledged project.
I follow this tutorial here to create RESTful web service on Netbean 6.8. However, when I right click on the project node and select Test RESTful Web Service, the browser pop up, and supposedly my project would be listed on the left, and supposedly I would be able to select it, and test against various function that listed on the right. However, I dont see any of that. Any idea why?
Hi ,
I added Designer support for my control.
I got the following exception when setting the property value like below.
var colStyle = visibleColumn.Properties["PropertyName"].SetValue(Value);
The same above code works fine for VS 2010 project
but it shows the following exception for VS 2008 project
InnerException: System.Reflection.AmbiguousMatchException
Message="Ambiguous match found."
Source="mscorlib"
I am attempting to add a WCF web service to my project and each time I add a new web service it adds a new Service Behavior, new Service configuration, and changes the formatting of my web.config.
Is it possible to add a new WCF Web service (.svc extension) to my project without it changing my web.config file? I am willing to add the information I need manually.
I am using a IoC Container (Castle Windsor) to instantiate classes accordingly to the configuration file. If I want to add classes from a new dll that didn't exist when I compiled the project, there is any way to do that without recompiling?
Edit: As this project is a Service Host for WCF service, and the classes that I want to include after compilation are WCF Services I would like also to know if I can include endpoint information about new services without recompiling.
I have a problem using a Resources.resx - Resources.de.resx - combination in a C#/WPF project.
The whole solutions contains several projects and some projects contains resource files.
When starting the main project I can switch the language successfully from english to german. But the GUI elements from the sub projects still show the english text.
Thank you very much for every idea to solve the problem. Regards, Alex
