• polymorphism alternative for MySQL stored procedures

  I'm porting some stored procedures from Informix to MySQL, but I have two stored procedures on Informix that have same name and different parameters. In MySQL, I can't create two SP with the same name, and also can't create a SP with default values in parameters. so, do someone out there know any hackery or black magic that may help me solve this problem? thanks.

  I am quite confused setting up cascade deletes in Doctrine 2. Here's what my setup looks like I want to setup cascading so that I can do something like $list->getStages()->clear() I tried in Stage class /** * @OneToMany(targetEntity="TaskProgress", mappedBy="stage", cascade={"remove"}) */ protected $taskStages; But that did nothing, I even tried putting the same thing in other classes like List, TaskProgress or Task but nothing seem to work, I may have done it wrong tho ..

• how to disconnect a windows share dir by known IP?

  windows only record 1 user/pwd to a remote share dir, and my program need to connect a dir, but the user may login first, let my program failed to connect, is there a method to disconnect it? i only know the IP. I use wnetcancelconnection2(remotedir) first, but still cannot work, and return 1219 error(credentials supplied conflict with an existing set of credentials)

  Our logs show hundreds of these errors after our deployment if users are on the site. Anyone know what this means and how to fix it? Notes: We are using msdeploy, IIS 6 I recently noticed that our web server's time is about 10 minutes behind the real time, I think that may have something to do with it. If I log into our site, seems like any file that depends on a WebResource or ScriptResource type file doesn't look right. Seems to fix itself after an IIS reset

  If I have a cube divided into 8 smaller cubes, each of which may be subdivided into a further 8 cubes, ad infinitum, what is the name of my system? I know that it's a special case of a tree, where each brance contains exactly 8 other leaves/branches. I remember the name starting with "Oct", and there was a wikipedia article on it, but I honestly can't find it! Does anyone know what such a data structure is actually known as?

My goal is to have an alarm go off on multiple PC's in a network indicating that a certain task needs done. Anyone who receives this alarm may stop it, complete the task and log that they did that. Only the source files (developers have to download or somehow resolve the dependencies themselves) or the both the source files and the dependencies?   Don't know the difference between the System.Window.Controls.TextBox and System.Windows.Forms.TextBox. Noticed that the System.Windows.Forms.TextBox can have InvokeRequried but System.Window.Controls.TextBox cannot. what's the counterpart of InvokeRequired for System.Window.Controls.TextBox? looks like if we have both using System.Window.Controls; and using System.Window.Forms; the code may conflict each other?
