  • The width of a list that contains an embedded matrix grows unexpectedly

    I have a report in reporting services 2005 that includes a list with an embedded matrix and am attempting to put a border on the list, however, when I run the report in visual studio the matrix is growing past the end of the page and therefore the boarder is growing with it causing it to grow into the second page. It appears that there was supposedly a fix for this in reporting services 2000 service pack 1 but I am still experianceing the issue in 2005. The list has a details group that limits the records on a row to 4 using the following expression: =ceiling(rownumber("list1")/4), the matrix has a column group that should recycle those based on the rownumber determined by the list using the following expression: =rowNumber("list1_Details_Group") I have also attempted to put the list in a rectangle in hopes to stop the matrix from growing to no avail. How do I effectivly stop the matrix form growing past the space allowed by the list control?

    What are my best options for creating a financial open-high-low-close (OHLC) chart in a high level language like Ruby or Python? While there seem to be a lot of options for graphing, I haven't seen any gems or eggs with this kind of chart. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open-high-low-close_chart (but I don't need the moving average or Bollinger bands) JFreeChart can do this in Java, but I'd like to make my codebase as small and simple as possible.     compressed xps documents do not pass isxps.exe test and do not display in xpsviewer. i'm using Windows 7 and vs2010. IsXps.exe says "Unable to open Zip archive Error code: 0x8000FFFF", same with default W7 XpsViewer. what i'm doing wrong? (i've also installed latest 7zip program, but i do not think that it may corrupt the default windows zip capability......or not?)

    Our development team (about 40 developers) has a formal build every two weeks. We have a process that in the "build day", every developers are forbiden to commit code into SVN. I don't think this is a good idea because: Build will take days (even weeks in bad time) to make and BVT. People couldn't comit code as they will, they will not work. People will comit all codes in a hurge pack, so the common is hard to write. I want know if your team has same policy, and if not how do you take this situation. Thanks

    Why is the ( ) mandatory in the SQL statement select * from gifts INNER JOIN sentgifts using (giftID); ? The ( ) usually is for specifying grouping of something. But in this case, are we supposed to be able to use 2 or more field names... in the example above, it can be all clear that it is 1 field, is it just that the parser is not made to bypass the ( ) when it is all clear? (such as in the language Ruby).

    Hey, In MonoRail/Active Record if I want to grab all records that have a certain column equal to null, I can do: public static Category[] AllParentCategories() { return (FindAllByProperty("Parent.Id", null)); } However, what if I want to grab all records where that column doesn't equal null? E.g. one telling how many minutes/hours are left giving at least some kind of estimate 2) How does ZODB packing affect the responsivity of the site?
