  • Setting up a common perl/cpan environment

    - by zedoo
    Hi, so I'm having a lot of fun with Perl at home for some time now. How much more difficult do things get when you develop Perl modules (In my case it's mostly catalyst) in a team? How do we make sure we all got the same development environment (Perl/Module versions)? Simply by keeping up to date with CPAN? Do some teams setup their 'private' CPANs?

  • Google Maps Marker Click Event

    - by Mike
    I'd like to populate a google map with several markers. When the user clicks on a marker I would like it to send the user to a different webpage which is designated for that location. (for example: lets say the markers represent homes, when you click on a marker it takes you to a page with more information about the home) What is the simplest way to do this?

  • Does Hibernate 3.5.0-CR-2 release support JPA2.0

    - by fool
    I see that Hibernate home page has a symbol informing that it implements JSR 317, but I couldn't find if it implements the full spec. Does anybody knows if Hibernate 3.5.0-CR-2 fully implements the JSR 317? I can see from their JIRA that everything is closed related to JPA 2.0: http://opensource.atlassian.com/projects/hibernate/browse/HHH-4190?subTaskView=all Anyone has experienced using JPA2.0 with Hibernate? Does it implement the full spec?

(with the CF addition or without?) Thank you!!

  • UIAlertView won't rotate to landscape even with applicationDidFinishLaunching call

    - by Joey
    I am trying to use UIAlertView on my landscape right (home button on the right) app but it is showing up in portrait orientation. I have tried putting: [[UIApplication sharedApplication] setStatusBarOrientation: UIInterfaceOrientationLandscapeRight animated: NO ]; in applicationDidFinishLaunching, but it doesn't work. Are there any other usual suspects to what might be causing this? I am setting the orientation through my plist file currently.

  • What are the Tags Around Default iPhone Address Book People Phone Number Labels?

    - by rnistuk
    My question concerns markup that surrounds some of the default phone number labels in the Person entries of the Contact list on the iPhone. I have created an iPhone contact list address book entry for a person, "John Smith" with the following phone number entries: Mobile (604) 123-4567 iPhone (778) 123-4567 Home (604) 789-4561 Work (604) 456-7891 Main (604) 789-1234 megaphone (234) 567-8990 Note that the first five labels are default labels provided by the Contacts application and the last label, "megaphone", is a custom label. I wrote the following method to retrieve and display the labels and phone numbers for each person in the address book: -(void)displayPhoneNumbersForAddressBook { ABAddressBookRef book = ABAddressBookCreate(); CFArrayRef people = ABAddressBookCopyArrayOfAllPeople(book); ABRecordRef record = CFArrayGetValueAtIndex(people, 0); ABMultiValueRef multi = ABRecordCopyValue(record, kABPersonPhoneProperty); NSLog(@"---------" ); NSLog(@"displayPhoneNumbersForAddressBook" ); CFStringRef label, phone; for (CFIndex i = 0; i < ABMultiValueGetCount(multi); ++i) { label = ABMultiValueCopyLabelAtIndex(multi, i); phone = ABMultiValueCopyValueAtIndex(multi, i); NSLog(@"label: \"%@\" number: \"%@\"", (NSString*)label, (NSString*)phone); CFRelease(label); CFRelease(phone); } NSLog(@"---------" ); CFRelease(multi); CFRelease(people); CFRelease(book); } and here is the output for the address book entry that I entered: 2010-03-08 13:24:28.789 test2m[2479:207] --------- 2010-03-08 13:24:28.789 test2m[2479:207] displayPhoneNumbersForAddressBook 2010-03-08 13:24:28.790 test2m[2479:207] label: "_$!<Mobile>!$_" number: "(604) 123-4567" 2010-03-08 13:24:28.790 test2m[2479:207] label: "iPhone" number: "(778) 123-4567" 2010-03-08 13:24:28.791 test2m[2479:207] label: "_$!<Home>!$_" number: "(604) 789-4561" 2010-03-08 13:24:28.791 test2m[2479:207] label: "_$!<Work>!$_" number: "(604) 456-7891" 2010-03-08 13:24:28.792 test2m[2479:207] label: "_$!<Main>!$_" number: "(604) 789-1234" 2010-03-08 13:24:28.792 test2m[2479:207] label: "megaphone" number: "(234) 567-8990" 2010-03-08 13:24:28.793 test2m[2479:207] --------- What are the markup characters _$!< and >!$_ surrounding most, save for iPhone, of the default labels for?   • How to call bash process from within django / wsgi?

    - by chang
    I'm using mod_wsgi apache2 adapter for a django site and I like to call some bash process within a view, using the usual ... p = subprocess.Popen("/home/example.com/restart-tomcat.sh", shell=True) sts = os.waitpid(p.pid, 0)[1] ... This code works perfectly from within a usual python shell but does nothing (I can trace right now) when called within django. Am I missing some wsgi constraints? The script has 755 perms, so it should be executable. Thanks.

  • How to access Java servlet running on my PC from outside ?

    - by Frank
    I used Netbeans6.7 to write a servlet, when it runs, it opens a browser window with this address : http://localhost:8080/My_App/Test_Servlet, I replaced the "localhost" with my IP address, now it looks like this : http://192.???.1.??:8080/My_App/Test_Servlet, but I tried to access it from another computer outside my home, it can't read anything, I wonder if I need to change Windows Fire Wall setting to allow outside traffic, it's a Paypal IPN app, so I call Paypal, they said they can't access : http://192.???.1.??:8080/My_App/Test_Servlet What on my side should I do to allow traffic from "paypal.com" to access "My_App/Test_Servlet" ? • Drupal UC "Quoting / Estimate" error

    - by Murtez
    Hi, I was playing around with Drupal UC and installed a module called "Quoting / Estimate" (http://drupal.org/project/quoting), I tried to run it and got this error: **warning: call_user_func_array() [function.call-user-func-array]: First argument is expected to be a valid callback, 'quoting_quote_clear_page' was given in /home/ergospec/public_html/d/includes/menu.inc on line 348** Has anyone run into this problem? Second question: anyone know of a good quotation module (where customer can request a price quote, not the brackets)? It doesn't have to be in Drupal. Any help is appreciated. Murtez

  • Problem in retrieving the ini file through web page

    - by MalarN
    Hi All, I am using an .ini file to store some values and retrieve values from it using the iniparser. When I give (hardcode) the query and retrive the value through the command line, I am able to retrive the ini file and do some operation. But when I pass the query through http, then I am getting an error (file not found), i.e., the ini file couldn't be loaded. Command line : int main(void) { printf("Content-type: text/html; charset=utf-8\n\n"); char* data = "/cgi-bin/set.cgi?pname=x&value=700&url=http://IP/home.html"; //perform some operation } Through http: .html function SetValue(id) { var val; var URL = window.location.href; if(id =="set") { document.location = "/cgi-bin/set.cgi?pname="+rwparams+"&value="+val+"&url="+URL; } } .c int * Value(char* pname) { dictionary * ini ; char *key1 = NULL; char *key2 =NULL; int i =0; int val; ini = iniparser_load("file.ini"); if(ini != NULL) { //key for fetching the value key1 = (char*)malloc(sizeof(char)*50); if(key1 != NULL) { strcpy(key1,"ValueList:"); key2 = (char*)malloc(sizeof(char)*50); if(key2 != NULL) { strcpy(key2,pname); strcat(key1,key2); val = iniparser_getint(ini, key1, -1); if(-1 == val || 0 > val) { return 0; } } else { //error free(key1); return; } } else { printf("ERROR : Memory Allocation Failure "); return; } } else { printf("ERROR : .ini File Missing"); return; } iniparser_freedict(ini); free(key1); free(key2); return (int *)val; } void get_Value(char* pname,char* value) { int result =0; result = Value(pname); printf("Result : %d",result); } int main(void) { printf("Content-type: text/html; charset=utf-8\n\n"); char* data = getenv("QUERY_STRING"); //char* data = "/cgi-bin/set.cgi?pname=x&value=700&url=http://10.50.25.40/home.html"; //Parse to get the values seperately as parameter name, parameter value, url //Calling get_Value method to set the value get_Value(final_para,final_val); } * file.ini * [ValueList] x = 100; y = 70; When the request is sent through html page, I am always getting .ini file missing. If directly the request is sent from C file them it works fine. How to resolve this?

  • MSDN Subscription Expression Studio 4 licence details

    - by pjk

Previously I installed Expression 3 on 2 computer, my home and my work computer. So my question is, is this no longer allowed? or is it a key that can be used multiple times?

I don't know what else to do. I am on a Linksys WRT54G v8 router running ddWRT v24 micro firmware.
