    I have this method in my book model: def get_absolute_url(self): return "/book/%s/%s/%i/%i/" % ( self.book_title, self.book_editor, self.book_pages, self.id) So the urls of each book are like this: example.com/book/the-bible/gesu-crist/938/12/ I want that if there is an error in the url, then I get redirected to the real url by using book.id in the end of the url. For example if I go to: example.com/book/A-bible/gesu-crist/938/12/ the I will get redirected to: example.com/book/the-bible/gesu-crist/938/12/ How can I do that ?

    I have a form for creating a new account and it has a password field in it. I'm using view models to pass data to the controller action and back to the form view. When the user enters their details in, and clicks submit, if validation fails and it returns them to the same view passing back in the view model, it won't default the password to what they entered. How can I get it to do this? Or should I even try?

    I just started using CakePHP and it's very different from just normal procedural or basic OOP PHP. I am still learning PHP and still read "beginning PHP/mysql" books that teaches you basic PHP. Also lots of sites online provide code that isn't for a framework. Is the only way to make non-framework code to say a framework, say cakePHP, by learning cakePHP thoroughly than rewriting the code yourself to fit the MVC model?

    I have data from a database loaded into a JTable through a custom table model. I want to have a column (should be the first column) which simply shows the display row number (i.e. it is not tied to any data (or sorting) but is simply the row number on the screen starting at 1). These "column headers" should be grayed out like the row headers. Any idea how to do this? Thanks

    Im saving an object model out to XML but when i load it back in I get exceptions when trying to use PropertyInfo.SetValue() because the property doesn't have a setter just a getter. I want to either not save out the properties that only have getters or figure out on load whether its valid for me to try and set a value or not. Anybody know how to do this Cheers

  • Windows 7 system freezes: would like to know if they could be related to MrxSmb, Event ID 8003 errors

    First, this question centers around a home network. Is it okay to ask here? Or should I go to SuperUser? (I see less answers over there, but I'll go there if that would be more appropriate.) Network setup: 1 Machine running XP Pro 1 Machine running Win7 Ultimate Comcast router Linksys WRT610N Wireless router The Win7 machine goes into a total, unrecoverable system freeze frequently. I was tearing out my hair trying to ascertain a cause, but I noticed that it usually seems to correspond with performing operations on the shared folders on the XP machine. The last 2 occasions that the Win7 machine froze, I saw this entry for Event ID 8003 from source MrxSmb in the Event log of the XP machine: The master browser has received a server announcement from the computer WIN7_COMPUTER that believes that it is the master browser for the domain on transport NetBT_Tcpip_{320B32A7-FED9. The master browser is stopping or an election is being forced. My question is twofold: Could this cause a Win7 system freeze? If so, what could I configure differently on my network to stop these conflicts over who is the master browser? Thank you for your help!

I've been searching everywhere for something on how to fully make a navigation-based iphone app, but all I've found is how to set up table views or navigation controllers. I haven't found anything on how to create a data model (something simple from arrays and dictionaries, SQLite and CoreData are a bit out of my scope) or navigate it. I would like to disable index on sender, because I manually create index with sender_id and receiver id together. How can I disable auto generated index?

I know it is possible to manually assign it manually in the designer for each class. But looks like it also requires to set internal modifier for each single property in every class! Data binding from my model to view is working correct, with the help of @Gloppy Now, when I use $http instead of $timeout (tested locally), I could see the asynchronous request was successful and data is filled with json response in my service.
