    I want regular user can access the "User Information List" in Mysite root site. I am using "RunWithElevatedPrivileges" method. Still throwing access denied error. per example my root site collection for mysite is "http://network.test.com". the user want assess userinformation list this site collection. How can he access that?     Is there a way to get a nice list of all commit messages sorted by file?   • Do I need to include the 'this' when using a property name in a closure?

    I'm using a list of Actions to store an undo history for an object. Let's say I have a property of my object called myChildObject and it's being changed, so I want to store the undo action where I would set it back to it's current value: public class Class1 { public Class1() { } private readonly List<Action> m_undoActions = new List<Action>(); private SomeObject myChildObject { get; set; } public void ChangeState(SomeObject newChildObject) { // copies the reference SomeObject existingObject = myChildObject; m_undoActions.Add(() => myChildObject = existingObject); myChildObject = newChildObject; } } Looking at the lambda expression, existingObject is a local variable, so it's using a closure to pass a reference to that variable, but what about the property myChildObject? Do I need to use 'this' to preface it? Do I need to make a copy of the 'this' reference to a local variable first? Thanks for helping me understand this closure stuff.

It is redirecting to the URL ://url/blogs/Lists /Posts/Dispform.aspx?ID=x, which is giving Page cannot be found error. It should redierct to ://url/blogs/Lists /Posts/Post.aspx?ID=x. I want to change the hyperlink URL to the above one. Please suggest as how to proceed with that.

    i've got a list of all countries - states - cities (- subcities/villages etc) in a XML file and to retrieve for example a state's all cities it's really quick with XML (using xml parser). i wonder, if i put all this information in mysql, is retrieving a state's all cities as fast as with XML? cause XML is designed to store hierarchical data while relational databases like mysql are not. the list contains like 500 000 entities. so i wonder if its as fast as XML using either of: Adjacency list model Nested Set model And which one should i use? Cause (theoretically) there could be unlimited levels under a state. And which is fastest for this huge dataset? Thanks!

  • How do I transfer this logic into a LINQ statement?

    I can't get this bit of logic converted into a Linq statement and it is driving me nuts. I have a list of items that have a category and a createdondate field. I want to group by the category and only return items that have the max date for their category. So for example, the list contains items with categories 1 and 2. The first day (1/1) I post two items to both categories 1 and 2. The second day (1/2) I post three items to category 1. The list should return the second day postings to category 1 and the first day postings to category 2. Right now I have it grouping by the category then running through a foreach loop to compare each item in the group with the max date of the group, if the date is less than the max date it removes the item. There's got to be a way to take the loop out, but I haven't figured it out!

The inferred type ArrayList is not a valid substitute for the bounded parameter It seems the type of the second generic List parameter is limited by the Type of the first.Is it a feature or a bug of the compile program? ps, jdk:1.6,IDE:Eclipse 3.5.1

    In a spring servlet xml file, I'm using org.springframework.scheduling.quartz.SchedulerFactoryBean to regularly fire a set of triggers. <bean class="org.springframework.scheduling.quartz.SchedulerFactoryBean"> <property name="triggers"> <list> <ref local="AwesomeTrigger" /> <ref local="GreatTrigger" /> <ref local="FantasticTrigger"/> </list> </property> </bean> The issue is that in different environments, I don't want certain triggers firing. Is there a way to include some sort of configuration or variable defined either in my build.properties for the environment or in a spring custom context properties file that assists the bean xml to determine which triggers should be included in the list? That way, for example, AwesomeTrigger would be called in development but not qa.

  • Container of shared_ptr's but iterate with raw pointers

    I have a class that holds a list containing boost::shared_ptrs to objects of another class. The class member functions that give access to the elemets in the list return raw pointers. For consistency I'd also like to be able to iterate with raw pointers instead of shared_ptrs. So when I dereference the list iterator, I'd like to get raw pointer, not a shared_ptr. I assume I need to write a custom iterator for this. Is this correct? If so can someone point me in the right direction - I've never done this before.

The function should accept a list of pairs (elements which are related according to some equivalence relation), and return a set of equivalence classes without using iteration or assignment statements (e.g. do, set!, etc.). However, set utilities such as set-intersection, set-union and a function which eliminates duplicates in a list and built-in functions union, intersection, and remove-duplicates are allowed.     I have a list of tags in a database. Ex: villan hero spiderman superman superman I wanted to obtain a sorted list of the tag names in ascending order and the number of times the unique tag appeared in the database. I wrote this code: Ex: SELECT hashtag.tag_name, COUNT( * ) AS number FROM hashtag GROUP BY hashtag.tag_name ORDER BY hashtag.tag_name ASC This yields the correct result: hero - 1 spiderman - 1 superman - 2 villan - 1 How can I obtain the full COUNT of this entire list. The answer should be 4 in this case because there are naturally 4 rows. I can't seem to get a correct COUNT() without the statement failing. Thanks so much for the help! :)

What I want to do is simple as a concept, but has presented me with a small challenge when trying to minimize the amount of database queries I'm performing. Let's say I have a table of departments. Within each department is a list of employees. What is the most efficient way of listing all the departments and which employees are in each department. So for example if I have a department table with: id name 1 sales 2 marketing And a people table with: id department_id name 1 1 Tom 2 1 Bill 3 2 Jessica 4 1 Rachel 5 2 John What is the best way list all departments and all employees for each department like so: Sales Tom Bill Rachel Marketing Jessica John Pretend both tables are actually massive. (I want to avoid getting a list of departments, and then looping through the result and doing an individual query for each department). Think similarly of selecting the statuses/comments in a Facebook-like system, when statuses and comments are stored in separate tables.
