  • How to sync audio files with Logitech media server in MAC OS?

    I want to customize the Logitech Media Server (web interface on localhost) so that N number of DIFFERENT audio files will start to play at the same time on N number of wifi receivers, each file on a different receiver. Currently, the server will sync only 1 track to N number(amount) of receivers. Is it possible with Logitech media server is open source. How can I able to do this? can you explain me sample code?

    Im looking for something similar to iPlotz or Mockup. I've found Pencil Project, but it require xulrunner-1.9 (seem to be incompatible with xulrunner-1.9.2) to be run as a standalone application; However it can be used as a firefox plugin..but is a bit slower. The error on my desktop (ubuntu 10.04) is: Could not find compatible GRE between version 1.9.1 and 1.9.2.* Does anyone know other software? Edit: open-source softwares are preferred, doesnt matter if free.

  • Can a NodeJS webserver handle multiple hostnames on the same IP?

    I have just begun learning NodeJS and LOVE it so far. I have set up a Linux box to run it and, in learning to use the event-driven model, I am curious if I can use a common IP for multiple domain names. Could I point, for example, www.websiteA.com, www.websiteB.com, and www.websiteC.com all to the same IP (node webserver) and then route to the appropriate source files based on the request? Would this cause certain doom when it came to scaling to any reasonable size?

    I am interested how copyright law works in the case of Rapidshare, Youtube and etc. Just hypothetically speaking, what if I create a website for uploading and sharing MP3 files, and some users start uploading songs in MP3 format that are protected by copyright laws. Can I get sued for this? Knowing that it wasn't me who uploaded that content? Thanks! PS. also maybe there is some good source where I could read about law cavities related to copyright material?

I can't really seem to find any CMS that is like this {Wordpress, drupal etc are way too heavy for this use} , really appreciated There aren't much requirements, anything will really work - each site gets their own jailed instance and stuff, just PHP/MySQL

    Early on in the Team System (now Visual Studio ALM) cycle a new product surfaced within Team System that was affectionately called “Data Dude”, but had the more formal name of “Visual Studio 2005 Team Edition for Database Professionals”. The purpose of this product was to try and make the database a “first class citizen” in the development world. Those that started using Visual Studio 2005 Team Edition for Database Professionals (Data Dude) loved it, but everyone else did not get it. The capabilities were a little patchy, but the one thing it did bring to the party was the ability to put your database schema under source control. This was revolutionary as previously your DBA sat as far away from the team as possible, and usually in a dark cupboard, now they could partake of all the goodness of Version Control, Work Item Tracking and automated builds. The problem was that the understanding required to manage these projects was very different to that needed previously.
