    - by miti737
    I am using listview to display a list of items and a nested listview to show list of features to each item. Both parent and child listview need to able Insert,Edit and delete operation. It works fine for parent listview. But when I try to edit an child item, The edit button does not take it into Edit mode. Can you please suggest me what I am missing in my code? <asp:ListView ID="lvParent" runat="server" OnItemDataBound="lvParent_ItemDataBound" onitemcanceling="lvParent_ItemCanceling" onitemcommand="lvParent_ItemCommand" DataKeyNames="ItemID" onitemdeleting="lvParent_ItemDeleting" oniteminserting="lvParent_ItemInserting" > <LayoutTemplate> <asp:PlaceHolder ID="itemPlaceholder" runat="server"></asp:PlaceHolder> <div align="right"> <asp:Button ID="btnInsert" runat="server" Text="ADD Item" onclick="btnInsert_Click"/> </div> </LayoutTemplate> <ItemTemplate> <table runat="server" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" border="0" width="100%"> <tr> <td> <div id="dvDetail"> <span >Description</span> <asp:TextBox ID="txtDescription" runat="server" Text='<%# DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, "Description") %>' TextMode="MultiLine" ></asp:TextBox> </div> <div id="dvFeature" > <span>Feature List</span> <asp:ListView ID="lvChild" runat="server" InsertItemPosition="LastItem" DataKeyNames="FeatureID" OnItemCommand="lvChild_ItemCommand" OnItemCanceling="lvChild_ItemCanceling" OnItemDeleting="lvChild_ItemDeleting" OnItemEditing="lvChild_ItemEditing" OnItemInserting="lvChild_ItemInserting" OnItemUpdating="lvChild_ItemUpdating" DataSource='<%# DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, "FeatureList") %>' > <LayoutTemplate> <ul > <asp:PlaceHolder runat="server" ID="itemPlaceHolder" ></asp:PlaceHolder> </ul> </LayoutTemplate> <ItemTemplate> <li> <span class="dvList"><%# DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, "FeatureTitle")%></span> <div class="dvButton" > <asp:ImageButton ID="btnEdit" runat="server" ImageUrl="/Images/edit_16x16.gif" AlternateText= "Edit" CommandName="Edit" CommandArgument='<%# DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, "FeatureID") %>' Width="12" Height="12" /> <asp:ImageButton ID="btnDelete" runat="server" ImageUrl="/Images/delete_16x16.gif" AlternateText= "Delete" CommandName="Delete" CommandArgument='<%# DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, "FeatureID") %>' Width="12" Height="12" /> </div> </li> </ItemTemplate> <EditItemTemplate> <li> <asp:TextBox ID="txtFeature" Text='<%# DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, "FeatureTitle")%>' runat="server"></asp:TextBox> <div class="dvButton"> <asp:ImageButton ID="btnUpdate" runat="server" ImageUrl="/Images/ok_16x16.gif" AlternateText= "Update" CommandName="Update" CommandArgument='<%# DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, "FeatureID") %>' Width="12" Height="12" /> <asp:ImageButton ID="btnCancel" runat="server" ImageUrl="/Images/delete_16x16.gif" AlternateText= "Cancel" CommandName="Cancel" Width="12" Height="12" CausesValidation="false" /> </div> </li> </EditItemTemplate> <InsertItemTemplate> <asp:TextBox ID="txtFeature" runat="server"></asp:TextBox> <div class="dvButton"> <asp:ImageButton ID="btnInsert" runat="server" ImageUrl="/Images/ok_16x16.gif" AlternateText= "Insert" CommandName="Insert" Width="12" Height="12" /> <asp:ImageButton ID="btnCancel" runat="server" ImageUrl="/Images/delete_16x16.gif" AlternateText= "Cancel" CommandName="Cancel" Width="12" Height="12" CausesValidation="false" /> </div> </InsertItemTemplate> </asp:ListView> </div> </td> </tr> <tr> <td align="right"> <div id="dvButton" > <asp:Button ID="btnSave" runat="server" Text="Save" CommandName="Save" CommandArgument='<%# DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, "ItemID") %>' /> <asp:Button ID="btnDelete" runat="server" Text="Delete" CssClass="Cancel" CommandName="Delete" CommandArgument='<%# DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, "ItemID") %>' /> </div> </td> </tr> </table> </ItemTemplate> </asp:ListView> Code Behind: protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { if (Page.IsPostBack == false) { BindData(); } } private void BindData() { MyDataContext data = new MyDataContext(); var result = from itm in data.ItemLists where itm.ItemID == iItemID select new { itm.ItemID, itm.Description, FeatureList = itm.Features }; lvParent.DataSource = result; lvParent.DataBind(); } protected void lvChild_ItemEditing(object sender, ListViewEditEventArgs e) { ListView lvChild = sender as ListView; lvChild.EditIndex = e.NewEditIndex; lvChild.DataBind(); } Edit: protected void lvChild_ItemEditing(object sender, ListViewEditEventArgs e) { ListView lvChild = sender as ListView; lvChild.EditIndex = e.NewEditIndex; lvChild.DataBind(); } If I use "lvChild.DataBind()" in 'ItemEditing' event, the total list of child items goes away if I click 'edit' protected void lvChild_ItemEditing(object sender, ListViewEditEventArgs e) { ListView lvChild = sender as ListView; lvChild.EditIndex = e.NewEditIndex; } if I get rid of 'lvChild.Databind' in ItemEditing event, it goes to Edit mode after clicking the 'edit' button twice . And though it shows textbox control of EditItemTemplate, it appears as a blank textbox (does not bind existing value to edit).

  • Winforms TabControl causing spurious Paint events for UserControl

    - by Tom Bushell
    For our project, we've written a WinForms UserControl for graphing. We're seeing some strange behavior when our control is sited in a TabControl - our control continuously fires Paint events, even when there is absolutely no activity by the user. We only see this in the TabControl. When we site our control in other containers such as Forms or Splitters, Paint is only fired when you'd expect e.g. when the control is first displayed, etc. Can anyone suggest why this might be happening? Here's a stack trace from a breakpoint in our control's Paint handler, if that's any help. • Add animation when user control get visible and collapsed In Wpf

    - by sanjeev40084
    I have two xaml files MainWindow.xaml and other user control WorkDetail.xaml file. MainWindow.xaml file has a textbox, button, listbox and reference to WorkDetail.xaml(user control which is collapsed). Whenever user enter any text, it gets added in listbox when the add button is clicked. When any items from the listbox is double clicked, the visibility of WorkDetail.xaml is set to Visible and it gets displayed. In WorkDetail.xaml (user control) it has textblock and button. The Textblock displays the text of selected item and close button sets the visibility of WorkDetail window to collapsed. Now i am trying to animate WorkDetail.xaml when it gets visible and collapse. When any items from listbox is double clicked and WorkDetail.xaml visibility is set to visible, i want to create an animation of moving WorkDetail.xaml window from right to left on MainWindow. When Close button from WorkDetail.xaml file is clicked and WorkDetail.xaml file is collapsed, i want to slide the WorkDetail.xaml file from left to right from MainWindow. Here is the screenshot: MainWindow.xaml code: <Window...> <Grid Background="Black" > <TextBox x:Name="enteredWork" Height="39" Margin="44,48,49,0" TextWrapping="Wrap" VerticalAlignment="Top"/> <ListBox x:Name="workListBox" Margin="26,155,38,45" FontSize="29.333" MouseDoubleClick="workListBox_MouseDoubleClick"/> <Button x:Name="addWork" Content="Add" Height="34" Margin="71,103,120,0" VerticalAlignment="Top" Click="Button_Click"/> <TestWpf:WorkDetail x:Name="WorkDetail" Visibility="Collapsed"/> </Grid> </Window> MainWindow.xaml.cs class code: namespace TestWpf { public partial class MainWindow : Window { public MainWindow() { this.InitializeComponent(); } private void Button_Click(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e) { workListBox.Items.Add(enteredWork.Text); } private void workListBox_MouseDoubleClick(object sender, MouseButtonEventArgs e) { WorkDetail.workTextBlk.Text = (string)workListBox.SelectedItem; WorkDetail.Visibility = Visibility.Visible; } } } WorkDetail.xaml code: <UserControl ..> <Grid Background="#FFD2CFCF"> <TextBlock x:Name="workTextBlk" Height="154" Margin="33,50,49,0" TextWrapping="Wrap" VerticalAlignment="Top" FontSize="29.333" Background="#FFF13939"/> <Button x:Name="btnClose" Content="Close" Height="62" Margin="70,0,94,87" VerticalAlignment="Bottom" Click="btnClose_Click"/> </Grid> </UserControl> WorkDetail.xaml.cs class code: namespace TestWpf { public partial class WorkDetail : UserControl { public WorkDetail() { this.InitializeComponent(); } private void btnClose_Click(object sender, System.Windows.RoutedEventArgs e) { Visibility = Visibility.Collapsed; } } } Can anyone tell how can i do this?

  • How do I add a toolbar to a region with ExtJS

    - by gargantaun
    I have a border layout in ExtJS, The north region contains some HTML, but also needs to contain a toolbar like this... So i've managed to get the border layout set up, added the html to the North Region of the layout, but I can't find any workable examples of how to implement a tool bar. I have found lot's of examples of toolbars on their own, but I've not got the luxury or learning ExtJs thoroughly so it's all greek to me. I suspect there's a way to define a tool bar outside of the cumbersome JSON style flow of creating a layout and somehow attaching it to the region, and I'm hoping it's relativley simple to do. If someone can explain how I'd do this, it would really help. Here's the code so far... //make sure YOUR path is correct to this image!! Ext.BLANK_IMAGE_URL = '../../ext-2.0.2/resources/images/default/s.gif'; //this runs on DOM load - you can access all the good stuff now. Ext.onReady(function(){ var viewport = new Ext.Viewport({ layout: "border", border: false, renderTo: Ext.getBody(), items: [ // ------------------------------------------------------------------ { region: "north", id : "toolbar-area", xtype: 'panel', html: [ "<div id=\"html-header\">", "<div id=\"council-logo\"></div>", "<ul id=\"ancillary-menu\">", "<li><a href=\"#\">Logout</a></li>", "<li><a href=\"#\">Gazeteer Home</a></li>", "<li>Hello Rachel</li>", "</ul>", "<img id=\"inteligent-logo\" src=\"applied-images/logos/inteligent.gif\">", "</div>" ], /* ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ */ /* The toolbar needs to go around here.... */ /* ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ */ height: 100 }, // ------------------------------------------------------------------ // WEST // ------------------------------------------------------------------ { region: 'west', xtype: 'panel', split: true, resizeable: false, maxWidth : 350, minWidth : 349, collapsible: true, title: 'Gazetteer Explorer', width: 350, minSize: 150, // -------------------------------------------------------------- title: 'Nested Layout', layout: 'border', border: false, id: "west", items: [ { // *********************************************** // Search Form // *********************************************** region : "north", height: 300, split : true, id : "left-form-panel", items : [{ xtype : "form", id : "search-form", items : [ // Authority combo box // =============================== { xtype : "combo", fieldLabel : "Authority", name : "authority", hiddenName : "authority", id : "authority-combo" }, // =============================== // Search Fieldset // =============================== { xtype : "fieldset", autoHeight : true, title : "Search by...", id : "search-fieldset", items : [ // Ref Number text Box // %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% { xtype : "textfield", name : "ref-number", fieldLabel : "Ref. • Defining a ContextMenu in a DataGridRow style

    - by Brent
    I'm trying to clean up some of my xaml in my views by moving a lot of the DataGrid styles into a ResourceDictionary. One of the things I'd like to move is the ContextMenu that is bound to some commands in the ViewModel. However, when I move the context menu to the ResourceDictionary, the commands are are never firing anymore, and I can't figure out why. I've defined the ContextMenu in the DataGridRow style so that when the user right clicks on the columnheader, no ContextMenu is shown... it will only be shown they right click on a row. Am I doing something wrong here? FYI I'm using VS 2010 RTM if that makes a difference. <Style x:Key="DataGridRowStyle" TargetType="{x:Type DataGridRow}"> <Setter Property="Height" Value="20"/> <Setter Property="ContextMenu"> <Setter.Value> <ContextMenu> <MenuItem Header="New" Command="{Binding RelativeSource={RelativeSource AncestorType=DataGrid}, Path=DataContext.NewCommand}"> <MenuItem.Icon> <Image Source="/Images/DocumentWhite(32N).png" Width="16" Height="16"/> </MenuItem.Icon> </MenuItem> <MenuItem Header="Open" Command="{Binding RelativeSource={RelativeSource AncestorType=DataGrid}, Path=DataContext.OpenCommand}"> <MenuItem.Icon> <Image Source="/Images/FolderOpenYellow(32N).png" Width="16" Height="16"/> </MenuItem.Icon> </MenuItem> <MenuItem Header="Delete" Command="{Binding RelativeSource={RelativeSource AncestorType=DataGrid}, Path=DataContext.DeleteCommand}"> <MenuItem.Icon> <Image Source="/Images/Delete(32N).png" Width="16" Height="16"/> </MenuItem.Icon> </MenuItem> </ContextMenu> </Setter.Value> </Setter> <Style.Triggers> <Trigger Property="IsMouseOver" Value="True"> <Setter Property="Background" Value="{StaticResource hoverGradient}"/> </Trigger> <Trigger Property="IsSelected" Value="True"> <Setter Property="Background" Value="{StaticResource BtnOverFill}"/> </Trigger> </Style.Triggers> </Style>

  • jQuery Cycle plugin IE6/7 issues

    - by Aaron Moodie
    I've implemented a slideshow using the Cycle plugin, which is working in all browsers except IE6&7, where the images just show up in a list, and the #page_copy div is not hiding. I've been going through the code all day without any luck, and not exactly sure how or what I should be looking for. What would be the best way to go about debugging this issue? I know that the #page_copy div is hiding when I remove the rest of the code, and I've tried the reverse (which had no result) <script type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8"> jQuery.fn.fadeToggle = function(speed, easing, callback) { return this.animate({opacity: 'toggle'}, speed, easing, callback); }; $(document).ready(function() { $('#page_copy').hide(); $('a#info_close_button').click(function() { $('#page_copy').fadeOut(200); return false; }); $('a#info_button').click(function() { $('#page_copy').fadeToggle(200); return false; }); }); $(window).load(function() { // vertically center single image var $image_cnt = $("#images > img").size(); if($image_cnt < 2) { var $single_img = $("#images").children(':first-child'); var h = $single_img.height(); $single_img.css({ marginTop: (620 - h) / 2, }); $(".next").css("display","none"); $(".prev").css("display","none"); } }); // wait until images have loaded before starting cycle $(window).load(function() { // front image rotator $('#images').cycle({ fx: 'fade', speed: 300, next: '.next', prev: '.prev', containerResize: 0, timeout: 0, delay: -2000, before: onBefore }); }); // hide all but the first image when page loads $(document).ready(function() { $('#images img:gt(0)').hide(); }); // callback fired when each slide transition begins function onBefore(curr,next,opts) { var $slide = $(next); var w = $slide.width(); var h = $slide.height(); $slide.css({ marginTop: (620 - h) / 2, marginLeft: (650 - w) / 2 }); }; </script>

In the controller I include all required files and libraries like this: $this->view->headScript()->appendFile('/js/jquery-1.3.2.min.js'); $this->view->headLink()->appendStylesheet('/flash-uploader/css/default.css'); $this->view->headLink()->appendStylesheet('/flash-uploader/css/uploadify.css'); $this->view->headScript()->appendFile('/flash-uploader/scripts/swfobject.js'); $this->view->headScript()->appendFile('/flash-uploader/scripts/jquery.uploadify.v2.1.0.min.js'); And then I activate the plugin like this (#photo is id of the input file field): $(document).ready(function() { $("#photo").uploadify({ 'uploader' : '/flash-uploader/scripts/uploadify.swf', 'script' : 'my-account/flash-upload', 'cancelImg' : '/flash-uploader/cancel.png', 'folder' : 'uploads/tmp', 'queueID' : 'fileQueue', 'auto' : true, 'multi' : true, 'sizeLimit' : 2097152 }); }); As you can see I am targeting the my-account/flash-upload script as a backend processing (my-account is a controller, flash-upload is an action). My form markup looks like this: <form enctype="multipart/form-data" method="post" action="/my-account/upload-public-photo"><ol> <li><label for="photo" class="optional">File Queue<div id="fileQueue"></div></label> <input type="hidden" name="MAX_FILE_SIZE" value="31457280" id="MAX_FILE_SIZE" /> <input type="file" name="photo" id="photo" class="input-file" /></li> <li><div class="button"> <input type="submit" name="upload_public_photo" id="upload_public_photo" value="Save" class="input-submit" /></div></li></ol></form> And yet it's not working. The browse button doesn't even show up as in the demo page, I get only a regular input file field. Any ideas where could the problem be? I've already been staring into the code for hours and I cannot see any mistake anywhere and I'm starting to be exhausted after going through the same 30 lines of code 30 times in a row.

  • Java - Lock Aspect Ratio of JFrame

    - by nasufara
    Is it possible to lock the aspect ratio of a JFrame in Java Swing? For example, if my window is 200px by 200px, and the user wants to resize it, I want the ratio between the width and the height at 1:1, so that if the new width is 400px, the new height is forced to 400px. I'm aware of ComponentListener and componentResized, but I'm having difficulty not getting it to go into an infinite loop of resizing, because I'm resizing the window in a resize listener. Thanks!

  • Load external style sheets on request from a different origin

    - by AshTek
    Hi, Is there a plugin or feature in jQuery that enables the dynamic loading of stylesheets from different origins similar to $.getJSON() or $.getScript()? I am able to dynamically integrate a style sheet from the same origin, but I need to be able to dynamically inject a jQuery UI theme from a different origin into a page. I guess I can load the CSS file as JSON data and then apply the contents using $().css(); however, I was looking for a more elegant solution. Thanks

  • Collapse span when input button is hidden

    - by Evan
    I have a style that wraps around an input button, so the button can be styled very creatively. When the button is hidden in .Net, i would like the style to collapse so it renders like its hidden as well. What the style does, as a result of no value in the button or its hidden, is it keeps a small shape. Click to see a demo: http://media.apus.edu/it/evan-testing/button.htm <style> .button { cursor:pointer; text-decoration:none; background:url(button_bg.gif) no-repeat right top; padding-right:10px; display:inline-block; line-height:29px; height:29px; font-size:12px; color:#FFFFFF; font-weight:bold; } span.button { vertical-align: middle; } .button span { background:url(button_bg.gif) no-repeat left top; padding-left:10px; line-height:20px; height:29px; display:inline-block; } .button span span { background:transparent; padding:0; font-size:12px; } .button span input { cursor:pointer; font-weight:bold; background:transparent; border:0; padding-top:.4em; font-size:12px; font-family:verdana; color:#FFFFFF; } .button:hover { background-position:right -39px; } .button:hover span { background-position:left -39px; } .button:active { background-position:right -78px; } .button:active span { background-position:left -78px; } </style> Input button wrapped in a span with no value: <span class="button"><span><input type="button" value=""></span></span> <P> Input button wrapped in a span with a value: <span class="button"><span><input type="button" value="test"></span></span> <P> Span with no data value: <span class="button"><span></span>

  • JavaScript/Dojo Module Pattern - how to debug?

    - by djna
    I'm working with Dojo and using the "Module Pattern" as described in Mastering Dojo. So far as I can see this pattern is a general, and widely used, JavaScript pattern. My question is: How do we debug our modules? So far I've not been able to persuade Firebug to show me the source of my module. Firebug seems to show only the dojo eval statement used to execute the factory method. Hence I'm not able to step through my module source. I've tried putting "debugger" statements in my module code, and Firebug seems to halt correctly, but does not show the source. Contrived example code below. This is just an example of sufficient complexity to make the need for debugging plausible, it's not intended to be useful code. The page <!-- Experiments with Debugging --> <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/strict.dtd"> <html> <head> <title>console me</title> <style type="text/css"> @import "../dojoroot/dojo/resources/dojo.css"; @import "../dojoroot/dijit/themes/tundra/tundra.css"; @import "edf.css"; </style> <script type="text/javascript" src="../dojoroot/dojo/dojo.js"> </script> <script type="text/javascript" > dojo.registerModulePath("mytest", "../../mytest"); dojo.require("mytest.example"); dojo.addOnLoad(function(){ mytest.example.greet(); }); </script> </head> <body class="tundra"> <div id="bulletin"> <p>Just Testing</p> </div> </body> </html> <!-- END: snip1 --> The java script I'd like to debug dojo.provide("mytest.example"); dojo.require("dijit.layout.ContentPane"); /** * define module */ (function(){ //define the main program functions... var example= mytest.example; example.greet= function(args) { var bulletin = dojo.byId("bulletin"); console.log("bulletin:" + bulletin); if ( bulletin) { var content = new dijit.layout.ContentPane({ id: "dummy", region: "center" }); content.setContent('Greetings!'); dojo._destroyElement(bulletin); dojo.place(content.domNode, dojo.body(), "first"); console.log("greeting done"); } else { console.error("no bulletin board"); } } })();

  • Galleria jQuery plugin briefly shows all images in IE 7 & 8

    - by hollyb
    I'm using the galleria jQuery plugin on a site. When the gallery first loads, all of the images appear briefly & vertically in ie 7 & 8. This doesn't happen when i isolate the gallery, only when i put it on a somewhat heavy page. This leads me to believe that it happens when the page is a little slow to load. Does anybody know a way to fix this? I feel like an overflow: hidden should fix this, but I've applied it along with a height in every container I could think of. Anybody have any ideas? Here is my css: .galleria{list-style:none;width:350px; overflow:hidden; height: 70px;} .galleria li{display:block;width:50px;height:50px;overflow:hidden;float:left;margin:4px 10px 20px 0;} .galleria li a{display:none;} .galleria li div{position:absolute;display:none;top:0;left:180px;} .galleria li div img{cursor:pointer;} .galleria li.active div img,.galleria li.active div{display:block;} .galleria li img.thumb{cursor:pointer;top:auto;left:auto;display:block;width:auto;height:auto} .galleria li .caption{display: inline;padding-top:.5em; width: 300px; } * html .galleria li div span{width:350px;} /* MSIE bug */ html: <ul class="gallery"> <li class="active"><img src="1.jpg" cap="A great veiw by so and so.
