  • Binding the textDidChange event on a NSTextField to a MacRuby delegate

    I have a NSTextField within a Window and I created a very simple MacRuby delegate: class ServerInputDelegate attr_accessor :parent def textDidChange(notification) NSLog notification.inspect parent.filter end end And I have tried setting the control's delegate: I have tried setting the Window and every other object I could think of to this delegate. I have also tried setting it to other delegates (application for instance) and events like applicationDidFinishLaunching are being properly triggered. Is there any trick I am missing in order for this event to be triggered every time the contents of this NSTextField changes?

  • log4net with .NET 4.0

    I've thrown together some code to tinker with the new .Net 4.0/VS 2010 pieces, but I can't seem to find a build of my logging framework of choice (log4net) for 4.0, and I'm getting reference errors with the 2.0 version. Is there a 4.0 version available somewhere? I'm not asking for new features, just a version that's already been rebuilt against the new assemblies. Anyone know where I can find a build of 1.2.10 built for the 4.0 framework?

  • iPhone & iPad versions of same app?

    I have an iPhone app and would like to create iPad version of it. What is the best way to setup the project when you want an iPhone and iPad version of the app? I don't see that I'm able to use the same code base since the iPad version will have features in it that the iPhone version doesn't. It seems as though maintenance is going to go up with two similar code bases for the same app.

    I have installed Visual Studio 2010 Professional (final version), with some components, plug-ins and templates I use a lot. Recently, I been checking all the things that the Ultimate version has, and I've been wondering, Can I just run the VS2010 ultimate installer and it upgrade the Sku, letting me use all of its features along with the previous plug-ins (like telerik rad controls, Deklarit for VS2010, and VS.php)??   • Problem with jQuery in Internet Explorer 8

    I am trying to get my jQuery functions to work on IE8. I am loading the library from google's servers (http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.3/jquery.min.js). The $(function(){}) is never called. Instead, I get an error "Object expected". I opened the developer and ran "typeof $" in the console, and it came up as "undefined". I have tried going to other sites that I know use jQuery (jquery.com), and those all work, is there something I might be missing here?

  • YUI Uploader hangs after choosing file

    Below is my entire code from a User control that contains the YUI Uploader. Is there something I'm missing. Right now, when I step through the javascript code in Firebug, it hangs on the first line of the upload() function. I have a breakpoint on the first line of the ashx that handles the file, but it is never called. So, it doesn't get that far. I figure I'm just missing something stupid. I've used this control many times before with no issues. I'm using all the css files and graphics provided by the samples folder in the YUI download. If I'm not missing anything, is there a more comprehensive way of debuging this issue then through stepping through the javascript with FireBug. I've tried turning the logging for YUI on and off, and never get any logs anywhere.   • When using a mocking framework and MSPEC where do you set your stubs

    I am relatively new to using MSpec and as I write more and more tests it becomes obvious to reduce duplication you often have to use a base class for your setup as per Rob Conery's article I am happy with using the AssertWasCalled method to verify my expectations, but where do you set up a stub's return value, I find it useful to set the context in the base class injecting my dependencies but that (I think) means that I need to set my stubs up in the Because delegate which just feels wrong. Is there a better approach I am missing?

  • UITableView not rotating even after using autoresize mask and shouldAutororateForInterfaceOrientatio

    I have a UIView, that contains a navigation bar, and UITableView. I implemented a UIViewController that implements a UITableViewDelegate. I over-rided the shouldAutorotateForInterfaceOrientation for the UIView to return YES for landscape and portrait mode. But the View does not seem to rotate. I did a similar thing without the Navigation bar and the Tableview and the view rotates. Is is something i am missing.

  • How to get Facebook share behavior with Facebook Connect on iPhone

    With the standard share at http://www.facebook.com/sharer.php one only needs to specify a URL. Title and thumbnail are automatically pulled from the web page (perhaps with the help of meta tags). With Facebook Connect (I am using the iPhone SDK), I need to supply everything explicitly (URL, title, caption, description, images, etc.). Is there a way to emulate the "share" behavior with Facebook Connect, i.e. let Facebook pull the missing elements from the page being shared itself?

  • problem with linked libraries or classes??

    i recently finished one project..now when i create a new navigation project in xcode and try to run it in simulator the application crashes and error in debugger window shows that i am missing some classes which i had used in my previous project(not in this one) and in some cases it gives Couldn't register com.yourcompany.GuessGame with the bootstrap server. Error: unknown error code. This generally means that another instance of this process was already running or is hung in the debugger. is this some problem related to linked libraries??
