  I need a scalable, automated, method of dumping the contents of "view page source" (DOM) to a file. Programs such as wget or curl will non-interactively retrieve a set of URLs, but do not execute javascript or any of that 'fancy stuff'. My ideal solution looks like any of the following (fantasy solutions): cat urls.txt | google-chrome --quiet --no-gui \ --output-sources-directory=~/urls-source (fantasy command line, no idea if flags like these exist) or cat urls.txt | python -c "import some-library; \ ... use some-library to process urls.txt ; output sources to ~/urls-source" As a secondary concern, I also need: dump all included javascript source to file (a la firebug) dump pdf/image of page to file (print to file)

  I'm writing a program that needs to access SAS data. I've downloaded the ODBC drivers for SAS and installed them, but I need to be able to create ODBC connections on the fly, programmatically. • Rotate view of PDF on a WinForm

  I have to display a PDF inside a winform (c# on .net 2.0 framework). For now, I am using the ActiveX PDF control provided by Adobe. I have to disable the entire control so that a user can't print or save via right-click or hotkeys. Unfortunately, many of the documents need to be rotated (just viewed, not permanently saved that way). I'd like to allow them to rotate the view by pressing a button control. I've tried enabling the control then programmatically sending the hotkeys (ctrl shift +) using SendKeys and SendInput but the timing issues make this a non-viable solution. I've asked on the proper Adobe boards and they said it was not possible being that all of my clients will only have the reader version installed.

• Check if NFS share is mounted in python script

  I wrote a python script that depends on a certain NFS share to be available. If the NFS share is not mounted it will happily copy the files to the local path where it should be mounted, but fail later when it tries to copy some files back that were created on the NFS server. I'd like to catch this error specifically so I can print a useful error message that will tell the users of this script what they have to do. My first idea would be to execute mount using subprocess and then check the output for this nfs share. But I'm wondering if there isn't a nicer and more robust method of doing it.

  Hello! I'm writing a OSX PDF Workflow in ObjC and C. A single executable ("UNIX Tool" as named in the Apple reference), that reads in the spooled PDF file, does some parsing. I'd like to give more functionality by enabling a key-down event handling, meaning - when user opens print dialog in an application - and chooses to left-mouse-click on the custom made pdf workflow to run it - depending on if a keyboard key is down (i.e. option key, but "any key down" would be enough for me) when running that workflow - a decision is made in the code. I have read NSEvent and Carbon Event Manager reference and it seems that in this case (a plain unix executable + not run as root) it's not possible. Or is it? Many thanks in advance, Kroko

• Display processes that access a folder.

  I am trying to write a simple program, preferably in C, that will watch a given directory. Whenever a process accesses that directory, I just want to print out the name of that process. It seems simple, but I am coming up short for solutions on MSDN. Does anyone know which library calls I will need for this, or any helpful advice? I have considered repeatedly querying for what processes have handles on the given directory and just watching for additions to that list.This approach just seems very intensive and I am hoping there is an easier way.   Hey guys I'm fairly new to boost c/c++ library. I downloaded boost library and build the library. I created a very simple python library in c++ using boost interface (actually it is example code given in the documentation). I built it into a dll file. In the documentation it reads that this dll is exposed to python and they just show the import function in python and include the created library. I don't understand how to expose that dll to python and load the library inside in tradition ('import') manner. • Java multidimensional array and scanner novice Q

  I'm new to Java and trying to in essence implement a grid with a character, and if the user inputs 'w' 'a' 's' or 'd' the character moves up/down/left/right within the plane. I created a multidimensional array sized 10x10 public static String[][] grid = new String[10][10]; And then just used a for loop to print "*"s in a 10x10 grid, except for grid[a][b] which is equal to character "A" i.e. my thing to be moved around. That seemed to work alright, then I needed to detect the 'wasd' input from the user so I set up a: Scanner in = new Scanner (System.in); while (in.hasNext()) And I had then: String s = in.next(); char ch = s.charAt(0); switch (ch) but I couldn't make this work, and it wasn't because I didn't complete the "switch" statement, I did, I just see it void copying and pasting the entire thing. I'm sure its incredibly easy slight thing I am missing, can you please point it out for me?

  If I have a SQL statement such as: SELECT TOP 5 * FROM Person WHERE Name LIKE 'Sm%' ORDER BY ID DESC PRINT @@ROWCOUNT -- shows '5' Is there anyway to get a value like @@ROWCOUNT that is the actual count of all of the rows that match the query without re-issuing the query again sans the TOP 5? The actual problem is a much more complex and intensive query that performs beautifully since we can use TOP n or SET ROWCOUNT n but then we cannot get a total count which is required to display paging information in the UI correctly. Presently we have to re-issue the query with a @Count = COUNT(ID) instead of *.
