    Possible Duplicates: Recommendations for a .NET component to access an email inbox coding for how to receive a mail in windows apllication What methods are there for having .NET code run and handle e-mails as they arrive? I'm developing a social networking site that will allow users to send an email to an email address that is for posting. This is the same thing Blogger does. This allows me to take a picture with my phone and send it to [email protected] and have it posted to my profile. The site is running IIS6 and I have full access to the server. Emails are currently being processed using the SMTP service that comes with Windows 2003 Server, but I can switch to another system without any issues. I am assuming I would have to somehow have the incoming emails either go into a folder that my application is watching or cause incoming emails to trigger a script. can anyone point me in the right direction?

I want to maintain sessions so that when the user logs in , i can track the logged in user to display information that is related to the username.     Our (small to medium-sized) company is going to start enforcing an internet policy which everyone, including the team of 4 senior developers, will be subject to. Amongst other things, this means that developers will not be able to access: web based e-mail (Hotmail, Yahoo, Googlemail) instant messaging accounts (MSN Messenger) social networking sites (Facebook) streaming media (internet radio) At the moment, we don't have any restrictions on our internet use, so I really want to find out what the effect on the team will be. Please let me know your thoughts. What effect do you think this will have on the team (positive or negative).

    Hmm I have a application in flex (codebase around 20K lines) ... its sort of a social network meets digg kind of thing, I need to add more features to it. This is my first ever flex project.     I've got a problem with the removal of entities in my JPA application: basically, I do in this EJB Business method: load photo list ; for each photo { //UPDATE remove TagPhoto element from @OneToMany relation //DISPLAY create query involving TagPhoto ... } and this last query always throws an EntityNotFoundException (deleted entity passed to persist: [...TagPhoto#]) I think I understand the meaning of this exception, like a synchronization problem caused by my Remove, but how can I get rid of it?

    I'm in the process of Moving a project from Visual Studio 2003 to 2005 and have just seen the The event Click is read-only and cannot be changed when using inherited forms regardless of the Modifier on the Base Forms Controls will make all the Controls from the Base Readonly in the designer (Though in 2003 it didn't work this way).   • What is a SQL statement that can tally up the counts even including the Zeros? (all in 1 statement)

    A SQL statement can give a list of the most popular gifts that are sent in a Social application, all the way to the ones that are sent 1, or 2 times, but it won't include the Zeros. I think the same goes for getting the list of the most popular Classes that students are registering for, when the registration process for all students is 10 days and now it is the 3rd day. Again, we get the count but the Zeros are not there. Is there a simple SQL statement that can show the whole list, including the zeros?

  • How to find the ocean using Google Maps API

    I am trying to figure out where the ocean is in an arbitrary Google Maps view. I actually have the lat lon (a range of points, when joined together form the coastline) of the coastline. But how do I tell which side of this line is the coastline? One possible solution would be to find the latlon of the nearest service or town or business or something, and then the ocean is obviously on the other side (given a small enough enclosing polygon). Is there a better way?

    I'm using datagridview in windows application developed in C# VS2005 .net 2.0. Datagridview is provided a list of business objects. It take annoying delay of 2-3 seconds before starting displaying the rows in datagridview in falling-curtain fashion. When I switch back to my application from any other window it start repaint process in the same falling-curtain fashion. This is quite annoying. Plz someone help me sort this out!

    Although i know changing MFMailComposeViewController is fround upon, i'm taking a risk. I found some ideas such as [self presentModalViewController:controller animated:YES]; // Existing line [[[[controller viewControllers] lastObject] navigationItem] setTitle:@"SomethingElse"]; and [[[[(MFMailComposeViewController*)vc navigationBar] items] objectAtIndex:0] setTitle:@" SomethingElse"]; but the odd thing is that the title is "SomethingElse" for like 2 seconds and after that it returns to the subject that is set. I've tried other solutions as well but the same output. I am using SHK (ShareKit) to connect to social.   • Cannot position Google +1 button with CSS?

    I'm having some trouble positioning the Google +1 button on my website. The div is as follows: <div class="g-plusone"></div> The CSS I'm using is pretty simple: .g-plusone { position: absolute; top:95px; left:715px; } I know for a fact that the div in question is being accessed. What's strange is that other social sharing buttons, such as the FB like below follow the same syntax and are positioned perfectly. .fb-like { position: absolute; top:62px; left:715px; } Any ideas?

  • JavaScript-library-based Project Organization

    Hello, I'm very new to the JavaScript library world. I have used JS by itself before to create a mini social network but this is the first time I use a JS library and I really don't know how to go about this. I'm planning to use Google Closure and I'm really not sure how I should go about organizing the code. Should I put everything in one file since it's a web app and should have one screen? Should I separate the code to many chunks and put them in different files? Or should I put different dialogs (like settings) in a separate page and thus a separate file? Like all programmers I'm a perfectionist so please help me out with this one, thanks.
