  • Hiding user interface parts in WSS 3.0 webpart - how?

    Hi, I have a webpart with asp.net control within. I would like to hide some parts of that control, some asp:net panels etc. regarding one of the TextBox's value. The issue is that I don't know to change the visibility of asp:panel wrapper without any postback, and how to refresh page to see the changes on the UI. I was trying to implement TextChanged event but it dosen't work. Can anybody help me, please?

    Hey, I have an (Ext JS) tab panel where the hidden tabs aren't loaded at all upon initial instantiation, (the only thing I set is the title). Upon 'activation' of a tab I want to call a method , which then instanstiates a new FormPanel/GridPanel and put this content into the tab. Can someone point me to a code example or give me tips on how to do this?? Thanks so much!

    I'm designing a simple expander control. I've derived from UserControl, drawn inner controls, built, run; all ok. Since an inner Control is a Panel, I'd like to use it as container at design time. Indeed I've used the attributes: [Designer(typeof(ExpanderControlDesigner))] [Designer("System.Windows.Forms.Design.ParentControlDesigner, System.Design", typeof(IDesigner))] Great I say. But it isn't... The result is that I can use it as container at design time but: The added controls go back the inner controls already embedded in the user control Even if I push to top a control added at design time, at runtime it is back again on controls embedded to the user control I cannot restrict the container area at design time into a Panel area What am I missing?     I have an abstract entity: public abstract class Entity extends JPanel implements FocusListener And I have a TextEntity: public class TextEntity extends Entity Inside TextEntity's constructor I want to put a JTextArea that will cover the panel: textArea = new JTextArea(); textArea.setSize(getWidth(),getHeight()); add(textArea); But getWidth() and getHeight() returns 0. Is it a problem with the inheritance or the constructor?

  • Different behavior between IE6 and Firefox for HTML Tables?

    I'm doing the first bit of web-page development I've done in years, in VS2008, using VB.net. I have a fairly simple layout, which is using several nested tables. IE6 displays the layout just fine, but Firefox for some reason shows the whole thing in a small panel at the top of the page, with a scrollbar. Can anyone suggest something basic I am likely missing?

    I had a beautiful pure HTML mockup for a webpage that I am now recreating in GWT. I'm attempting to use the same css in my GWT app, but that's not working well for me. GWT styles seem to override mine. I know I can completely disable the GWT styles, however I would prefer to have the styling for the GWT components that I'm adding (tab panel, button, etc). Is there a way to disable GWT styling, and only enable it for components that I choose?
