    Hello guys, I have a generic IRepository that has 2 constructors, one have none parameters, other has the datacontext as parameter. I want to define to structuremap to aways in this case use the parameterless constructor. I want a way to create a parameterless contructor, other solutions that I have seen, they create a new Datacontext and pass it to the constructor that has parameters.

  • Access to Perl's empty angle "<>" operator from an actual filehandle?

    I like to use the nifty perl feature where reading from the empty angle operator <> magically gives your program UNIX filter semantics, but I'd like to be able to access this feature through an actual filehandle (or IO::Handle object, or similar), so that I can do things like pass it into subroutines and such. Is there any way to do this? This question is particularly hard to google, because searching for "angle operator" and "filehandle" just tells me how to read from filehandles using the angle operator.

  • Python: Convert a string to an integer

    Does anybody have a quickie for converting an unsafe string to an int? The string typically comes back as: '234\r\n' or something like that. In this case I want 234. If '-1\r\n', I want -1. I never want the method to fail but I don't want to go so far as try, except, pass just to hide errors either (in case something extreme happens).

Wthout reference to verison. Discussions as recent as Jan 25, 2011. The Kernel I am using is form Debian Lenny, year ago. What should I do? Is this bug even fixed in kernel? if it's such obvious bug why it happens so rarely? Should I download latest kernel from kernel.org and upgrade? Should I use Debian backports to install new "Approved" kernel? Am I missing something? What to do?

    I have ubuntu 12.04 installed on my system. I want to upgrade it to ubuntu 13.04. I want to do this upgrade using an iso image of ubuntu 13.04. I tried this Solution But it didn't work for me. After running these command I didn't get any alerts about updating. Also I don't understand the gksu part of the solution.     Given the following function: def foo(a, b, c): pass How would one obtain a list/tuple/dict/etc of the arguments passed in, without having to build the structure myself? Specifically, I'm looking for Python's version of JavaScript's arguments keyword or PHP's func_get_args() method. What I'm not looking for is a solution using *args or **kwargs; I need to specify the argument names in the function definition (to ensure they're being passed in) but within the function I want to work with them in a list- or dict-style structure.

  • Very basic question about Hadoop and compressed input files

    I have started to look into Hadoop. If my understanding is right i could process a very big file and it would get split over different nodes, however if the file is compressed then the file could not be split and wold need to be processed by a single node (effectively destroying the advantage of running a mapreduce ver a cluster of parallel machines). My question is, assuming the above is correct, is it possible to split a large file manually in fixed-size chunks, or daily chunks, compress them and then pass a list of compressed input files to perform a mapreduce?

    Just curious as to why Dictionary is not supported by XmlSerializer? You can get around it easily enough by using DataContractSerializer and writing the object to a XmlTextWriter, but what are the characteristics of a Dictionary that makes it difficult for a XmlSerializer to deal with considering it's really an array of KeyValuePairs. In fact, you can pass an IDictionary<TKey, TItem> to a method expecting an IEnumerable<KeyValuePairs<TKey, ITem>>.

  • Upon doing a XSL Transform to XML how do I remove white space from a Node's attribute or data?

    I have a part's list built out in XML and each part is labeled as such: <division> <parts> <part number="123456 " drawing="123456 " cad="y"> <attribute> <header>Header</header> <list>2</list> </attribute> </part> And I need to get the data behind the number and drawing attributes without the white space. I tried xsl:strip-space on the specific elements, and across the board, but that only strips the content in between the tags. I unfortunately have no access to the back-end that's producing the XML, so removing the spaces there doesn't look like an option.

  • Passing JSP parameter to javascript won't work in IE8!

    Could really use with some help here... I've got a servlet that generates an XML string (relatively long) which I then pass to a javascript variable in a forwarded jsp file: $(document).ready(function() { ... var itXML = <% out.print((String)request.getAttribute("xml"));% ; ... } This seems to work just fine in Firefox but when I run the same project on IE8 I get a syntax error for this line. Any Ideas? Thanks!
