  • Why is my CSS overriding the CSS in the Wrapper?

    I'm trying to figure out why the text in the left navigation panel on the following page is shrinking & underlining when you mouseover in Firefox. http://fundcentre.newireland.ie/ Everything on the left & top is part of a wrapper that we inject our content into. Our content is everything from "FUND CENTRE" down. Can someone suggest something I could do to sort this issue out? Thanks.

    I keep getting an uncaught syntex error which I know usually means your code has a missing closing something. I keep failing to see what it is that I am missing. The idea of the function is that it extracts the a links ID and Text content and add's it to an un-ordered list. The links have a class of 'ingredient_add' and the unordered list has an ID of 'ingredientsAdded'.   • regular expression for validation not working

    I have a "description textarea" inside a form where user may enter a description for an item. This is validated with javascript before the form beeing submitted. One of the validation-steps is this: else if (!fld.value.match(desExp)){ And desExp: var desExp = /^\s*(\w[^\w]*){3}.*$/gm; Now my problem, this works fine on all cases except for descriptions where the description BEGINS with a special character of the swedish language (å, ä, ö). This wont work: åäö hello world But this will: hello world åäö Any fixes? Thanks

Rather than buttons i would like to insert my own text/image and have them work in the same way, revealing and hiding the new windows.   • Buttons size not equal in IE and Firefox

    I have few buttons on my jsp page and I am using the style as : .buttonblue { background-color: #003366; border-color: #99CCFF; color: #FFFFFF; font-family: Verdana,Arial,Helvetica; font-size: 8pt; font-weight: bold; height: 20px; display:inline; line-height: 1.2; text-align: center; margin-top: 2px; } In Firefox the buttons are bit smaller than IE6. I can not define the size of buttons as the caption changes the button size changes accordingly. I tried with width:auto but no success. Also, with overflow:visible the buttons in IE becomes bit smaller. Please help.

  • Why does one of two identical Javascripts work in Firefox?

    Hi, I have two image swap functions and one works in Firefox and the other does not. The swap functions are identical and both work fine in IE. Firefox does not even recognize the images as hyperlinks. I am very confused and I hope some one can shed some light on this for me. Thank you very much in advance for any and all help. FYI: the working script swaps by onClick via DIV elements and the non-working script swaps onMouseOver/Out via "a" elements. Remember both of these work just fine in IE.   • Background is flashing upon load momentarily

    I have a div (.header) contained within other divs. When my page loads, momentarily just that one .header div "flashes" white as the page is loading, especially in in Firefox, but a little bit in IE8 too. I can't find what kind of CSS or lack thereof is causing this - there's no images or background color associated with that div. There is a logo.png within the .header.   • jQuery slideDown() not animating (jquery-rails 3.0.4; jquery-ui-rails (4.0.5)

    I am following along in the latest Agile Web Development with Rails 4 book. In Chapter 11 (AJAX), the book instructs us to use the following code in the "create.js.erb" file: if ($('#cart tr').length == 1) { $('#cart').show('blind', 1000); } This code causes the #cart div to jump down without any content. After 1 second it appears. There is no sliding effect. I tried using slideDown(); as well, but the div just appears immediately. Out of curiosity, I tried slideUp(); when the div was visible. Voila. The div slid up. This appears to be a jQuery bug and wondered if anyone else has experienced this, or has any suggestions for me. Thanks.
