  • How to convert an Outlook 2007 .ost file to a .pst file, so I can open it in another, local computer?

    I have a couple of backed up .pst and .ost files that were used with a server that is not accessible anymore. On my local machine, I was able to Add... the .pst file to my fresh Outlook 2007 and access the emails. However, adding an .ost file does not seem to be an options in the Accounts Settings dialog. Is it possible to import the .ost file, or convert it to a .pst w/o the aid of the exchange server?

  • How do I create a Word 2007 form that will tab between text fields, and not within the text field?

    I am trying to create a protected form in MS Word 2007. However, once created it won't tab between the text fields, or from a text field to the next field, it only tabs inside of the text fields. It will tab to the next field for everything else, ie date boxes, list boxes, etc. I have tried using the Rich Text control, the Plain Text control, the Text Form field and the Text Box control and it all does the same thing.

  • Making CTRL+(mouse scroll) work with word 2007 for zooming?

    I am using Word 2007 and am trying to use the combo: Ctrl + mouse scroll To zoom in and out of the doc. This function works fine in other programs (like google-chrome) Is there a place to fix this ? edit: I found out that when I scroll the mouse FAST the desired effect happens. I would like it to also work with slower scrolling. The thing is also that on any other program - the scrolling acts as normal. (so this is not a system wide preference)

    Hi! Yesterday we had a power failure and the UPS did not work (it has worked perfect before). Everything seem to be ok when I started all the servers again except of the mail, when I try to mount the store I get the following message: “The database files in this store are corrupted” Server: Exchange 2003 running on a Small Business Server Latest full backup: one week old Backup program: Backup Exec 9.0 This is what I have done: 1. Copy every file in the MDBDATA folder (edb, stm, log) 2. Run Eseutil /d for priv1.edb 3. Run Eseutil /p for priv1.edb (took seven hours) 4. Run Isintig –fix –test alltests, now it breaks down. Isintig fails with the following error: Isinteg cannot initiate verification process. Please review the log file for more information. The problem is that there is no log file created. 5. Giving up on this route I decide to do a restore from the backup, it fails with the following error: Unable to read the header of logfile E00.log. Error -501, and the error: Information Store (5976) Callback function call ErrESECBRestoreComplete ended with error 0xC80001F5 The log file is damaged. My conclusion is that E00.log is damage, so how can I repair it so that I can restore the database? Or should I give up and try some other route?

  • Exchange 2010 CAS Removal == Broken???

    Hi there, I recently upgraded to exchange 2010 and have a setup with 2 of my servers running CAS roles - EXCH01, EXCH02 EXCH02 just happens to also have a mailbox role where a lot of the users sit EXCH01 is my front facing CAS server, and is facing the net with SSL etc and incoming mail moving through it as a hub transport layer server as well. As i was trying to lean things out in my VM environment i removed the CAS role from EXCH02 and all hell broke loose. All the mail users that have a mailbox on EXCH02 had their homeMTA set to a deleted items folder in AD and so did their msExchHomeServer properties. After a complete battle i manually fixed these issues to the oldvalues, and in the mean time reinstalled CAS on EXCH02 (management was going nuts with out OUTLOOK working so i just put things back the way they were in a hurry.) I must add as a strange thing on the side, that before i reset these to point at EXCH02 i tried EXCH01 and it failed. I still want to remove the CAS role from EXCH02 as it should really not have it (error on install/planning on my part) and would have thought that this would not cause the issues it did, i assumed that the fact that there was another CAS server in the admin group all would be good. Was i wrong in my assumption? and what can i do to complete this successfully the second time round? Do i need to rehome all the mailboxes to the CAS server? is this a bug in the role uninstall?

I'm trying to use the following command to delete these addresses (keeping the primary SMTP) and disabling the automatic update from recipient policy so the SMTP addresses don't get recreated again.   • Exchange emails not delivering for one user

    We have an Exchange infrastructure going through a migration from 2003 SP2 (call it ExOld) to 2010 (ExNew). All users are now on the new server, but mail is still being directed to ExOld until testing is complete. ExNew sends emails directly to the internet. For one particular user, emails don't seem to be being reliably delivered, but the odd thing is that it's not all emails. I can see external emails in his inbox. If I send an internal email it works fine. If I send an email from Gmail to him it doesn't get through. If I telnet from outside to ExOld I can send an email to him. If I telnet from outside to ExNew I can send an email to him.     I have a problem getting my word and excel to work in ASP .NET. I get the error message: {System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {000209FF-0000-0000-C000-000000000046} failed due to the following error: 80070005. at xxx.Utility.WordDocument..ctor(String filePath, HttpServerUtility util) at customer_communication.BuCreate_click(Object sender, EventArgs e) in This means I have access problem to the DCOM files. In Vista this isnt a problem, all I have to do there is to run "dcomcnfg" and in there find the Microsoft Excel dcom file. In Windows 7 I cant find it, and I have no idea what to do now... If anyone could help me that would be great!

I know that both Word and Excel have a get_fileDialog method under Globals.ThisAddIn.Application.Application, but Outlook doesn't seem to. How do I launch an Outlook FileDialog? Is it even possible?

  • How can I Export a Table in Access using VBA into a specific sheet in an Excel spreadsheet?

    I have a some tables, we will call them Table1,Table2.... and I need them to be Exported into specific spreadsheets in a macro enabled Excel File (.xlsm) that already exists. So I would need to put Table1 into Sheet2, Table2 into Sheet3... and so on. I had been doing this manually by going to the export menu in Access but it is getting monotonous so I would like to automate the process. The Excel file will already have code in each spreadsheet which would need to still be intact.

  • MSExchangeMailSubmission service is not listed or running; sent mail not working

    I am running a new Exchange 2007 SP1 system. I moved the mailboxes from the old Exchange 2003 server, and incoming mail is working. But outgoing mail is not working at all; even inside my domain. Lots of debugging and searching lead me to believe that the problem is that the "Microsoft Exchange Mail Submission Service" (AKA MSExchangeMailSubmission) is not running. In fact, it's not even listed in the Services list. This document (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa998342.aspx) says that this service is installed by the Mailbox server role. My server is running the Mailbox role, as well as the Hub Transport and Client Access roles. How do I get this service to show up in the list, so that I can start it up? Thanks.

    One of the users on my network is having an issue with his iPhone syncing via ActiveSync. Overall it's working, but every now and then he gets a "Synchronization with your iPhone failed for 3 items." I asked him to go into OWA and turn on the Mobile Phone logging.   • SMTP Relay through exchange

    Hi guys, We have a bit of a problem in that we want our printers to email our contractor whenever they develop a fault. The problem is on our corporate network we have no access through the firewall to the internet preventing us to use the external SMTP server. So i suppose the question is can we use our exchange server to do this? IE could I run an SMTP service that would forward to the exchange server which would then send the mail to the contractor?   • Forward emails from specific domain in Exchange

    Our Exchange server handles emails for @ourdomain.com (for example). We have multiple clients that will send emails to our [email protected] email address and we want to configure server-side rules that will forward emails from each client's domain to a different email address within our exchange server. For example: [email protected] sends an email to [email protected] and we forward it to [email protected] [email protected] sends an email to [email protected] and we forward it to [email protected] ...and so on. It would be nice if we can additionally stop the email arriving in the [email protected] mailbox, but that is not a specific requirement. We have a rule setup in Outlook that sort of works, but it doesn't do all from a domain only specific email addresses. It does work when Outlook is not running which is a start. I realise it would be easier to give each client a partiuclar email address and have them email straight to that rather than all use the same, but this is what I have been asked to setup.... :S
