  • Re-order form fields on submit url

    I have a get form with several visible and hidden input fields. When the form is submitted, selected fileds with their values are appended to the url in the order they are placed in the form. Is there a way to re-order the parameters in the url using jQuery? Note that for the reasons of usability, I can not re-order the elements on the form itself. I know it beggs the question "why would I want to do it?", but the reason is that I will be hitting a static page, so the order of the parameters have to be exactly how they are in the static page url. I'm not even sure if this is the right way to go about it, so any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

  • Word Spell Check pops up hidden and "freezes" my App

    I am using Word's Spell Check in my in house WinForm app. My clients are all XP machines with Office 2007 and randomly the spell check suggestion box pops up behind the App and makes everything "appear" frozen as you cannot get at it. Suggestions? What do other people do to work around this or stop it altogether?     I know I can use asp:TemplateField for this, but using the standard asp:BoundField or asp:ImageField in the asp:GridView, is it possible to specify multiple fields and use them in the FormatString field as {0} {1} {2} etc... For example <asp:ImageField DataImageUrlField="ProfileImageId,UserGuid" DataImageUrlFormatString="img-profile.ashx?uid={0}&pid={1}" /> I've always pondered on this. This would be much neater than using asp:TemplateField

  • html textfield in WebView in an Android application is hidden by the soft keyboard

    Hello, I have an Android application that is a TabHost with a WebView. I use it to load a specific html file that has a text field in its bottom part. When I touch the html textfield, the soft keyboard pops up, and hides the textfield, so that I cannot see what I have typed. I have also tried replacing the FrameLayout in my layout with ScollView, but that caused my webview to increase in size indefinitely when the application is running.. this may be due to some javascript I have running on the page. I have noticed that the android's web browser has a nifty behaviour - in a web page, after the soft keyboard pops up, the web page scrolls smoothly so that the focusable textfield is visible to the user. How can I have this kind of behavior in my applicaiton?

    I want to fill a CSS box with text till there is no overflow or scrollbar. I fetch text from MySQL. The user clicks a button and the next bit of text that can fit will fill the box. The only way I've figured to do this is by parsing through the text and counting characters and newlines, etc and calculating whether it will fit in the box. Is there an easier way to do this?
