• LNK2005: delete already defined error in VC++

  Hi, I am newbie to VC++, so please forgive me if this is stupid. I have got 7 solutions under one project. Six of these build static libraries which is linked inside 7th to produce an exe. The runtime configuration of all the projects is MultiThreaded Debug. sln which is used to produce exe is using MFC other slns use standard runtiem library. I tried changing those to MFC, but still I am getting the same error. All the six slns build successfully. When I try to build exe - get the follwoing error: nafxcwd.lib(afxmem.obj) : error LNK2005: "void __cdecl operator delete(void *,int,char const *,int)" (??3@YAXPAXHPBDH@Z) already defined in tara_common.lib(fileStream.obj) This is weird because tara_common is one of the libs that I generated and fileStream.cpp is file that is just using delete on a pointer. I built it in verbose mod, so I am attaching the output.   i have a combobox inside a hidden div which i use css display = none to make it invisible, but when i make the div visible by setting display = block, the combobox just show the input and its button and ul list all have css as display = 'none', visibility ='hidden', i can tell it is done by combobox inbuild javascript because i tried to use javascript to set the css manually with no luck. • Make overflow hidden when shrinking div

  I have a div with an image in it, and the image is too large for the div. I have solved the overflow problem with the obvious CSS overflow:hidden trick. But, the problem is that when the div's parent resizes (shrinks), the div holding the image won't shrink because of the image in it. Is there a way to have a resizable div with an image in it (almost like a background image) that overflows? • Video not playing in IE in hidden div using JW Player, SWFObject and FancyZoom

  Hi all, I have a video that is meant to start playing when a user clicks on an image and said image opens a FancyZoom overlay. It works fine in every browser except IEs. If I place the video in a div that is not hidden (display:none actually), the video starts as expected. So it seems there is a problem with either Flash, JW Player, SWFObject or any combination of these when trying to load a video in a hidden div. Anyone know any workarounds? I tried modifying the FancyZoom library (see my fork: http://github.com/lgomez/fancy-zoom/blob/master/prototype/js/fancyzoom.js) so I could use a callback to inject the video AFTER the zoom effect was completed but that did'n work.   I have a small problem and I don't think what I want to do can be achieved with just pure CSS, but I figured I'd ask anyway. Basically, I have one DIV which contains a hyperlinked element that is smaller in size to it's parent DIV. So in effect I have a square within a square with the inner square being the "hit area". When I mouse over this inner square I want the background of the outer square to change. I know it's not possible to change the parent DIV's background on a:hover, but I figured I could give the illusion of it happening by nesting a hidden image inside the anchor. This works great until I want to "roll off". The problem is that I want the image to disappear when I leave the area of the anchor tag, not the larger hidden image. Is this possible?   Currently, my Wordpress' upload folder is located in \wp-content\uploads. Initially there was no structure so all files were put there. After a while it was changed to upload the files in \wp-content\uploads\YEAR\MONTH. Now that folder contains a mix of files (those starting with + are folders) like: +wp-content | +2010 | | +02 | | | File-1 | | | File-2 | | | .. | | | File-n | | +01 | | | File-1 | | | File-2 | | | .. | | | File-n | +2009 | | +12 | | | File-1 | | | File-2 | | | .. | | | File-n | | +11 | | | File-1 | | | File-2 | | | .. | | | File-n | +.. | | | .. | Unstructured-file-1 | Unstructured-file-2 | ... | Unstructured-file-n Based on the dates of the unstructured files, I would like to move them in a structured hierarchy (based on date, move it to a folder \wp-content\uploads\YEAR\MONTH). Now, my questions are: Where do I write and execute a script to the movement (I don't have full access to the server, just to a cPanel and to the Wordpress Admin page)? What must be updated so that the links in posts, that reference the unstructured files, point to the new location of those files? Not fully related to the previous description: is it alright to move the whole uploads folder to another location, like \uploads? PS: Moving the files/updating the database manually is not an option :)

  Is it standard/intended behaviour that the value of a hidden form field is not bound to the view model (nor is a query string value)?   I have this <div id="container"> <div id="div1"></div> <div> Now, let's assume that: the "container" has a width of 300px the "container" has overflow: hidden; the "div1" has a width of 1000px; the "div1" is absolute positioned, top:0px,left:0px; The problem: The "div1" is not hidden, it overflows the "container" but it's still showing :(. If I simply remove the "position:absolute" it will work. How can I hide the overflow of "div1" ?

  I have a form where a user can toggle receiving funds either via check or via electronic transfer. When they choose either way in a list box, the respective part of the form hides. If they choose electronic transfer only bank info fields show, if they choose via check only address info shows and the bank fields are hidden. Well, since they choose one way or another I want to, not validate for something that is hidden. (Client Side) Is there a way to set xVal to only validate fields that are not visible? • Detect if Java Swing component has been hidden

  Assume we have the following Swing application: final JFrame frame = new JFrame(); final JPanel outer = new JPanel(); frame.add(outer); JComponent inner = new SomeSpecialComponent(); outer.add(inner); So in this example we simply have an outer panel in the frame and a special component in the panel. This special component must do something when it is hidden and shown. But the problem is that setVisible() is called on the outer panel and not on the special component. So I can't override the setVisible method in the special component and I also can't use a component listener on it. I could register the listener on the parent component but what if the outer panel is also in another panel and this outer outer panel is hidden? Is there an easier solution than recursively adding componentlisteners to all parent components to detect a visibility change in SomeSpecialComponent?

I'm running in to some other cross-compatibility issues as well with the margin spacing so I'm not even sure this is the best way to go about this. Obviously it'd be great if I could just begin with the div as display:hidden and then animate it to visible, but I haven't been able to do that. Any input is appreciated, either with advice on how to save the margin after form submission, or suggestion on better method to achieve this hide/reveal. Thanks, Brian

• IE - hidden radio button not checked when the corresponding label is clicked

  I just noticed a strange behaviour in IE7. I have radio buttons with associated labels as follows: <input type="radio" name="filter" id="filter_1" value="Activities" checked="checked" /> <label for="filter_1">Activities</label> <input type="radio" name="filter" id="filter_2" value="Services" /> <label for="filter_2">Services</label> The radio button is hidden via css with display:none or visibility: hidden (don't ask) The problem is - when I click the label in IE7 (haven't looked at other IE versions yet) the associated radio button is not actually checked. I confirmed this with jquery - the label click event is fired, but the radio button click event is not. A form post also confirms that the checked radio button does not change. This works correctly in firefox, and also works correctly if I remove the CSS that hides the radio buttons. Is this an IE bug or am I missing something?

• Hidden links are still clickable on the Android browser

  I've got a contextual menu that appears when a button is clicked. This menu has some links and after some seconds is hidden again. The problem is that after the menu has disappeared the links are still there. They are not shown but are clickable and the green border appears. And after some seconds they disappear. I've tryied many ways of hiding the menu: display: none, visibility: hidden, width: 0, height: 0, jquery hide, jquery fadeout... but none worked. Also hidding the links.   Hey All, I was wondering how i could output the results from my jQuery to a hidden form field so i can then shove it into the database.
