  Hello all, I have a program which creates DialogBox window when user clicks the menu item from tray icon, case ID_OPTIONS: DialogBox ( GetModuleHandle ( NULL ), MAKEINTRESOURCE ( IDD_SETUP_DIALOG ), hWnd, reinterpret_cast<DLGPROC>(SetupDlgProc) ); return 0; But the problem here is everytime when users clicks item from tray , a new instance of the dialogbox appears. Is there anyway to prevent this multiple instance ?   Hi, I've been playing around with this for a couple of weeks now with no success... In a CKEditor dialog, text input fields are renamed with a unique number - e.g. id: 'txtUrl' will become something like id='27_textinput'. How do I reference this? // I feel it should be something like: var myfield = CKEDITOR.instances.myElement.document.$.body.getId('txtUrl'); // or maybe: var myfield = CKEDITOR.dialog.getContentElement('info','txtUrl'); // and then: myfield.value = 'myvalue'; But these don't work. • IE 6 dropdown selection area too narrow

  Hi, I have a dropdown menu with the width set to 142px however the selection area when you drop down the menu needs to be larger as it has text that exceeds this width. Firefox (and most modern browsers) is clever and extends the selection area to fit in this text. However IE 6 and unchecked newer versions of IE do not show this text and keep the selection area the same width as the dropdown unclicked. The problem lies here, how can I get IE to extend the selection area where you click the selection you want without increasing the width of the dropdown area with out the dropdown selection showing. I need to reference 'txtUrl' which has an id something like #35_textInput. • Cannot Access IIS Website Locally Using www

  I have small website hosted on our WS 2008 R2 server using IIS 7. I can access our website from anywhere in the world using: www.ourwebsite.co.nz But from any local computer on our internal network I can only access the website using: http://ourwebsite.co.nz Our employees are constantly asking why they cant just use www.ourwebsite.co.nz I'm not sure what info to provide. I presume that because the wesbite correctly functions from outside the local network that I have correctly setup our Web DNS A records at our domain host. And the problem may lie with our local DNS configuration.

• Web browser being selective about the sites that it will visit.

  I've been trying to help my father-in-law with this problem but haven't been able to get anywhere. Since the weekend the web browsers on his computer (Chrome and Internet Explorer on Windows XP) will only let him get to certain sites - for example, he is able to conduct his online banking but he cannot visit www.bbc.co.uk, www.amazon.co.uk or www.ancestry.com. There is another computer in the house that goes via the same router and this can connect to both, which suggests it is his machine. I tried running a tracert to www.bbc.co.uk and managed to get through, but the web browser hangs with a message that it is waiting for a response. I tried using the WinSockFix tool in case it was anything to do with a recent registry change but that didn't work either. He can't think of anything that he recently did on his machine to cause the problem. Can anyone help?

• iChat can't authenticate to Lion Server 10.7.2 [migrated]

  I've enabled iChat and iCal Server through our local 10.7.2 Server which has DNS set up correctly. I can add the server account via a client's System Preferences (under other - Mac OS X server) and it authenticates with my shortname correctly. However, when I load iChat, I get this error message: Where the account is [email protected].co.nz. The password and username is correct. Console throws this error: 22/11/11 3:03:31.135 PM imagent: [Warning] XMPPConnection: Error: Error Domain=XMPPErrorDomain Code=105 "The operation couldn?t be completed. (XMPPErrorDomain error 105.)" UserInfo=0x7f81bbe2a3e0 {XMPPErrorText=service requested for unknown domain} DNS is set up correctly (it's working for Profile Management, Software Update Server and Web Services) but I can't get iChat to work correctly. How can I get clients to authenticate? FYI: It's probably worth noting that I get the exact same error messages when I use username@domain.co.nz instead of [email protected].co.nz. • My linux server takes more than an hour to boot. Suggestions?

  I am building a CentOS 5.4 system that boots off a compact flash card using a card reader that emulates an IDE drive. It literally takes about an hour to boot. The ultra-slow part occurs when Grub is loading the kernel. Once that's done, the rest of the boot process only takes about a minute to get to a login prompt. Does anyone have any suggestions? I suspect that it may have to do with UDMA. Everything IDE-related in my BIOS seems to checkout. The read performance hdparm is telling me 1.77 MB/s. Ouch! • How to set up Windows server 2008 to receive email?

  First off apologies, I'm from a medical background not a networking one, but I've got roped into setting up a windows 2008 server. So far web server running, fixed IP address assigned (within a large private network of the National Health Service in the UK if that makes any difference) and the network team have assigned a DNS entry for me which works, so the server can be addressed as nww.myserver.nhs.uk I've only got ports open on the router for 80 and 443 (http and https) at the moment, so presume I need a different port to enable email services. My need is to be able to accept an email to the domain name like [email protected].uk in order to pick up a confirmation mail from an SSL issuer (Comodo) I guess to confirm that I control the domain. After that I don't actually need mail services on the server. I see lots of stuff about setting up SMTP services but thought that was about mail out and re-routing, but how do you get the server to "listen" for mail to the domain (assuming I open port xyz or whatever it is) ?

  I have recently had to change a URL on a website (in PHP on Apache). The old URL is: http://content.mywebsite.org.uk/hidden/discounts/ When a user visits the above link. The new URL is: http://www.mywebsite.org.uk/charity_benefits.php I have tried variants of the following (and some others), but its just not working for me. RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} ^/hidden/discounts/$ [NC] RewriteRule ^/hidden/discounts/$ /charity_benefits.php [R=302,L,NC] I need the redirect to redirect to www mywebsite.org.uk. (Notice the www! Its important!). So basically, a simple redirect from the old page to the new page. (Which are on different subdomains (OLD: content., NEW: www.) which are hosted on the same server).

  I have setup a virtual host which specifies a default file to load when the URL is called. The problem I have is that I need that default DirectoryIndex file to appear in the URL. So when I go to: www.mysite.co.uk, I want www.mysite.co.uk/app.php to appear in the URL. How can I achieve this using my virtual host configuration within my apache.conf file? • Fully Qualified Domain name on Ubuntu Server

  I've setup a LAMP server on Ubuntu 10.04 (lucid) and have also installed Virtualmin. This is my first attempt at setting up a server of any sort. I set up one virtual host using Virtualmin and so far so good. Some odd things are happening though, such as when I type in my primary domain into a browser, I see the contents of the virtual server instead of what should be in the default directory. I'm going to use 123.345.789 and example.co.uk instead of my actual ip and domain name's if thats ok. I checked my hostname by using hostname -f and got production1 as my response The contents of my /etc/hosts file is (ip's and domain changed to something generic for this post): 127.0.0.1 localhost localhost.localdomain 123.456.789 production1.example.co.uk 123.456.789 production1 shouldn't my FQD be production1.example.co.uk? How can I go about changing this?, a simple step by step instruction would be great! thanks in advance.

• My Domain Is Getting Blocked As Gambling

  I have a site at http://slotted.co. Some of my would-be users complain that their company firewall blocking access. At least one user told me it was flagged as a gambling domain, which it is not. What can I do about this? Incidentally I own some other domains, such as signupster.com, which redirect to my site. I wonder if a quick workaround would be to make that my main domain and have slotted.co redirect? Obviously I prefer in the long terms that slotted.co is considered clean.

• How to eliminate NULL fields in TSQL

  I am developing a TSQL query in SSMS 2008 R2. I am trying to develop this query to identify one record / client. Because some of these values are NULL, I am currently doing LEFT JOINS on most of the tables. But the problem with the LEFT JOINs is that now I get 1 record for some clients. But if I change this to INNER JOINs then some clients are excluded entirely because they have NULL values for these columns. How do I limit the query result to just one record / client regardless of NULL values? And if there are non-NULL values then I want it to choose the record with non-NULL values. • Android app hanging, sometimes until Force Close / Wait dialog appears

  I'm making an app that records uncompressed (wav format) audio. I'm using this class to actually record the audio. Currently, my application records fine (I can play the file), however when I click the button to stop the recording, the app hangs for 10 seconds or so, with no log output or any signs of life. Finally it comes round, dumps a load of errors into the log, updates the UI etc. I'm using AsyncTasks to try and avoid this kind of thing but it's not working. Update I've replace the AsyncTasks with Threads, still doesn't work, the app completely hangs when I click record, despite the fact the Log indicates there's nothing going on in the main thread. Still completely stumped.

• Insane SmartGWT + GWT situation... Error on instantiating ListGridRecord?

  Hi all, I am asking this here in the hope that someone has maybe come across this situation too... I have posted this on the SmartGWT forum: I am having an issue when trying to instantiate a ListGridRecord object on my server side. I am using the ListGrid on the client side, I want to use GWT's RPC to pass back an array of ListGridRecord objects to populate the grid with. I know that SmartGWT is designed to link to a datasource but I want full control over when I populate the grid and this shouldn't be as much of a nightmare as it is to do. I have searched high and low and cannot find anyone complaining about the same thing. The exception however (listed below) has come up (in my search findings) as a possible memory error - where increasing the memory (-Xmx512m argument) has apparently solved the problem. It did not, however, sort out mine. If anyone can shed any light on this I would greatly appreciate it! Here are my details: Developing using Eclipse Galileo on Ubuntu 9.04 (Jaunty) and GWT 2.0.3, I built the initial GWT project using the webAppCreator bundled with the GWT 2.0.3 release and imported the project into Eclipse as described on the GWT Getting Started Page (as using the GWT Eclipse plugin caused even more nightmares when trying to connect to a database - this is apparently due to using the Google App Engine and turning it off as all the posts suggested only causes ClassNotFound exceptions).
