  • JSF Composite Component

    - by purecharger
    I'm trying to create a composite component for use in my Seam application, and I'm running into problems with the simplest "hello, world" component. I have placed a file named hello.xhtml in {jboss deploy}/application.ear/application.war/resources/greet : <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xmlns:h="http://java.sun.com/jsf/html" xmlns:composite="http://java.sun.com/jsf/composite"> <head> <title>My First Composite Component</title> </head> <body> <composite:interface> <composite:attribute name="who"/> </composite:interface> <composite:implementation> <h:outputText value="Hello, #{cc.attrs.who}!"/> </composite:implementation> </body> </html> Now in home.xhtml, located at the root of my webapp ({jboss deploy}/application.ear/application.war/home.xhtml): <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <ui:composition xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xmlns:ui="http://java.sun.com/jsf/facelets" xmlns:h="http://java.sun.com/jsf/html" xmlns:f="http://java.sun.com/jsf/core" xmlns:g="http://java.sun.com/jsf/composite/greet" xmlns:s="http://jboss.com/products/seam/taglib" template="layout/template.xhtml"> <ui:define name="content"> <div id="content"> <g:hello who="World"/> <br/> </div> </ui:define> </ui:composition> But my "hello, world" is not displayed, and I dont get any error messages, even when I turn on debug level logging for com.sun and javax.faces categories. Any ideas?

  • Spring, Jersey and Viewable JSP Integration

    - by Brian D.
I'm trying to integrate Spring 3.0.5 with Jersey 1.4. I seem to have everything working, but whenever I try and return a Viewable that points to a JSP, I get a 404 error. When I wasn't using spring I could use this filter: <filter> <filter-name>Jersey Filter</filter-name> <filter-class>com.sun.jersey.spi.container.servlet.ServletContainer</filter-class> <init-param> <param-name>com.sun.jersey.config.feature.Redirect</param-name> <param-value>true</param-value> </init-param> <init-param> <param-name>com.sun.jersey.config.property.packages</param-name> <param-value>cheetah.frontend.controllers</param-value> </init-param> <init-param> <param-name>com.sun.jersey.config.feature.FilterForwardOn404</param-name> <param-value>true</param-value> </init-param> <init-param> <param-name>com.sun.jersey.config.property.WebPageContentRegex</param-name> <param-value>/(images|css|jsp)/.*</param-value> </init-param> </filter> And I could return a Viewable to any JSP's, image, css that were stored in the appropriate folder. However, now that I have to use the SpringServlet to get spring integration, I'm at a loss for how to access resources, since I can't use the filter above. I've tried using this servlet mapping with no luck: <servlet> <servlet-name>jerseyspring</servlet-name> <servlet-class>com.sun.jersey.spi.spring.container.servlet.SpringServlet</servlet-class> <load-on-startup>1</load-on-startup> <init-param> <param-name>com.sun.jersey.config.property.WebPageContentRegex</param-name> <param-value>/(images|css|jsp)/.*</param-value> </init-param> </servlet> <servlet-mapping> <servlet-name>jerseyspring</servlet-name> <url-pattern>/*</url-pattern> </servlet-mapping> Does anyone know the proper configurations to achieve this? Thanks for any help.

  • Web service security not working. Java

    - by Nitesh Panchal
Hello, I have a ejb module which contains my ejbs as well as web services. I am using Netbeans 6.8 and Glassfish V3 I right clicked on my web service and clicked "edit web service attributes" and then checked "secure service" and then selected keystore of my server. This is my sun-ejb-jar.xml file :- <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE sun-ejb-jar PUBLIC "-//Sun Microsystems, Inc.//DTD Application Server 9.0 Servlet 2.5//EN" "http://www.sun.com/software/appserver/dtds/sun-web-app_2_5-0.dtd"> <sun-ejb-jar> <security-role-mapping> <role-name>Admin</role-name> <group-name>Admin</group-name> </security-role-mapping> <security-role-mapping> <role-name>General</role-name> <group-name>General</group-name> </security-role-mapping> <security-role-mapping> <role-name>Member</role-name> <group-name>Member</group-name> </security-role-mapping> <enterprise-beans> <ejb> <ejb-name>MemberBean</ejb-name> <webservice-endpoint> <port-component-name>wsMember</port-component-name> <login-config> <auth-method>BASIC</auth-method> <realm>file</realm> </login-config> </webservice-endpoint> </ejb> </enterprise-beans> </sun-ejb-jar> Here MemberBean is my ejb and wsMember is my webservice. Then i made another project and added web service client and again right clicked on "edit web service attributes" and gave password as test and test. This username and password (test) is in Glassfish server in file realm. But when i try to invoke my webservice i always get SEC5046: Audit: Authentication refused for [test]. • Memcached session manager in Azure: Connection gets forcibly closed

    - by Edgar Pérez
I am using Memcached Session Manager to handle Tomcat sessions in non-sticky mode. My deployment in Azure consists of a Worker Role with two instances which connect to an Azure VM running my Memcached server. Everything works pretty well, my session is persisted and retrieved by any of the two instances transparently. The problem arises when the session is idle for about 4 minutes; everything points out that the Azure Loadbalancer is closing the spymemcached connection to the VM after some period of inactivity. My MSM configuration is this: <Manager className="de.javakaffee.web.msm.MemcachedBackupSessionManager" memcachedNodes="n1:my-azure-vm.cloudapp.net:11211" sticky="false" sessionBackupAsync="false" sessionBackupTimeout="10000" lockingMode="uriPattern:/path1|/path2" requestUriIgnorePattern=".*\.(ico|png|gif|jpg|css|js|ttf|eot|svg|woff)$" transcoderFactoryClass="de.javakaffee.web.msm.serializer.kryo.KryoTranscoderFactory" customConverter="de.javakaffee.web.msm.serializer.kryo.HibernateCollectionsSerializerFactory"/> The stacktrace printed by the spymemcached client is this: INFO net.spy.memcached.MemcachedConnection: Reconnecting due to exception on {QA sa=/10.194.132.206:13000, #Rops=1, #Wops=0, #iq=0, topRop=net.spy.memcached.protocol.binary.StoreOperationImpl@1d95da8, topWop=null, toWrite=0, interested=1} java.io.IOException: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host at sun.nio.ch.SocketDispatcher.read0(Native Method) at sun.nio.ch.SocketDispatcher.read(Unknown Source) at sun.nio.ch.IOUtil.readIntoNativeBuffer(Unknown Source) at sun.nio.ch.IOUtil.read(Unknown Source) at sun.nio.ch.SocketChannelImpl.read(Unknown Source) at net.spy.memcached.MemcachedConnection.handleReads (MemcachedConnection.java:303) at net.spy.memcached.MemcachedConnection.handleIO (MemcachedConnection.java:264) at net.spy.memcached.MemcachedConnection.handleIO (MemcachedConnection.java:184) at net.spy.memcached.MemcachedClient.run(MemcachedClient.java:1298) Given this idle time limitation in Azure, is there any other way to make MSM work in the azure cloud?

  • Tomcat 7 taking ages to start up after upgrade

    - by Lawrence
I recently updated my server installation from Tomcat 6 to Tomcat 7, in order to take advantage of better connection pooling. My project uses Hibernate, for object persistance, a Mysql 5.5.20 database, and memcached for caching. When I was using Tomcat 6, Tomcat would start in about 8 seconds. After moving to Tomcat 7, it now takes between 75 - 80 seconds to start (this is on a Macbook pro 15", core i7 2Ghz, 8Gb of RAM). The only thing that has really changed between during the move from Tomcat 6 to 7 has been my context.xml file, which controls the connection pooling information: <Context antiJARLocking="true" reloadable="true" path=""> <Resource name="jdbc/test-db" auth="Container" type="javax.sql.DataSource" factory="org.apache.tomcat.jdbc.pool.DataSourceFactory" testOnBorrow="true" testOnReturn="false" testWhileIdle="true" validationQuery="SELECT 1" validationQueryTimeout="20000" validationInterval="30000" timeBetweenEvictionRunsMillis="60000" logValidationErrors="true" autoReconnect="true" username="webuser" password="xxxxxxx" driverClassName="com.mysql.jdbc.Driver" url="jdbc:mysql://databasename.us-east-1.rds.amazonaws.com:3306/test-db" maxActive="15" minIdle="2" maxIdle="10" maxWait="10000" maxAge="7200000"/> </Context> Now, as you can see, the database is running on Amazon RDS (where our live servers are), and thus is about 200ms round trip time away from my machine. I have already checked that I have security permissions to that database from my machine, (and anyway, it connects after 75 secs, so it cant be that). My initial thought was that Tomcat 7 and hibernate are doing something weird (like pre-instantiating a bunch of connections or something), and the latency to the database is amplifying the effects. While trying to diagnose the problem, I used jstack to get a stack trace of the Tomcat 7 server while its doing its startup thing. Here is the stack trace... • Win Server 2k and Win 7 client

    - by Ray Kruse
I have a Win Server 2000 system with AD configured. The network consists of an OKI printer, a network server, a wifi router a Win 2k client and the server. I'm trying to connect a Win 7 client. The purpose of the network, besides sharing equipment is to move files from client to client and scatter backups over more than 1 machine. The Win 7 client is configured for DHCP and does in fact receive it's IP and DNS configuration from the server and it sees the printer, wifi router and network drive, but does not see the Win 2k client nor the Win 2k server. I have tried the LAN Management Authentication Level set to 'Send LM & NTLM responses' with the 128 bit encryption removed. I've also done the registry hack on the key 'LmCompatibilityLevel'. Neither of these have helped. I have two questions: Is there a fix or is Win 2k totally incompatible? Is the best (or quickest/cheapest) fix to upgrade the server to Win 2k3 and not worry about the Win 2k client? Thanks for any help. Ray Kruse Buffalo, KY

  • Baidu spider is hammering my server and bloating my error_log file

    - by Gravy
I am getting the following errors in my /etc/httpd/logs/error_log file [Sun Oct 20 00:04:15 2013] [error] [client 180.76.5.16] File does not exist: /usr/local/apache/htdocs/homes [Sun Oct 20 00:08:31 2013] [error] [client 180.76.5.113] File does not exist: /usr/local/apache/htdocs/homes [Sun Oct 20 00:12:47 2013] [error] [client 180.76.5.88] File does not exist: /usr/local/apache/htdocs/homes [Sun Oct 20 00:17:07 2013] [error] [client 180.76.5.138] File does not exist: /usr/local/apache/htdocs/homes These kinds of errors are so often, that my error log files are over 500MB! I have done an IP trace on the client address to find that it belongs to something called baidu. Beijing Baidu Netcom Science and Technology Co in China. Is there a way that I can just get apache to deny any incoming requests from some crummy spider that is repeatedly hitting my site??? Is there a better way of dealing with the problem? I am happy to completely block out China if it means that I can actually track real errors.

  • Problems with X11GraphicsDevice on Suse 11

    - by Daniel
Hi, On servers running Suse 11 I'm experiencing hangups in sun.awt.X11GraphicsDevice.getDoubleBufferVisuals(Native Method) when connecting via Citrix (and setting DISPLAY to localhost:11.0). Running exactly the same code in exactly the same environment, excepth through Exceed (with DISPLAY set to my workstation's IP) it runs like clockwork. The error is not intermittent, it happens every time Reinstalling the OS does not help Can not reproduce it on Suse 10 This is what the main thread stack looks like: [junit] "main" prio=10 tid=0x0000000040112000 nid=0x6acc runnable [0x00002b9f909ae000] [junit] java.lang.Thread.State: RUNNABLE [junit] at sun.awt.X11GraphicsDevice.getDoubleBufferVisuals(Native Method) [junit] at sun.awt.X11GraphicsDevice.makeDefaultConfiguration(X11GraphicsDevice.java:208) [junit] at sun.awt.X11GraphicsDevice.getDefaultConfiguration(X11GraphicsDevice.java:182) [junit] - locked <0x00002b9fed6b8e70 (a java.lang.Object) [junit] at sun.awt.X11.XToolkit.(XToolkit.java:92) [junit] at java.lang.Class.forName0(Native Method) [junit] at java.lang.Class.forName(Class.java:169) [junit] at java.awt.Toolkit$2.run(Toolkit.java:834) [junit] at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method) [junit] at java.awt.Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit(Toolkit.java:826) [junit] - locked <0x00002b9f94b8ada0 (a java.lang.Class for java.awt.Toolkit) [junit] at java.awt.Toolkit.getEventQueue(Toolkit.java:1676) [junit] at java.awt.EventQueue.invokeLater(EventQueue.java:954) [junit] at javax.swing.SwingUtilities.invokeLater(SwingUtilities.java:1264) ... • Windows XP SP3 TCP/IP No buffer space available

    - by Natalia
I have the exactly same problem as here: Windows XP TCP/IP No buffer space available On Windows XP Pro, SP3 if one does an experiment where one tries to open TCP/IP sockets in a loop (bascially, listen port 7000, listen port 7001, etc.) After approx 649 open sockets, one will start getting errors: No buffer space available (maximum connections reached?) I've tried to edit the registry as described here http://smallvoid.com/article/winnt-tcpip-max-limit.html I set MaxUserPort = 65534 and MaxFreeTcbs = 2000, but it didn't help. What else can I do? I need 1000 server sockets. In this guide it says to use this command: sudo apt-get install sun-java6-bin sun-java6-jre sun-java6-jdk But on Suns website, it says JDK includes the JRE, so why the JRE in the line above? Anybody know how to actually install Java? Every guide and every forum shows different ways of doing it. BTW: It is a VPS (virtual private server) Thanks

  • Enabling JMX for proxool with tomcat

    - by dialt0ne
I am trying to get proxool's MBeans available so that I can see/manipulate them with jconsole. I have jconsole working, but I don't see anything related to proxool. The system is using Sun Java 1.5.0_17 (I know, I know... I'm working with the developers to upgrade). JMX is enabled by modifying $JAVA_OPTS in my tomcat 5.5 startup script: SJO="$SJO -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote" SJO="$SJO -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.port=4998" SJO="$SJO -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.authenticate=false" SJO="$SJO -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.ssl=false" JAVA_OPTS="$JAVA_OPTS $SJO" I have proxool configured with JNDI in server.xml: <GlobalNamingResources> <Resource name="jdbc/database" auth="Container" type="javax.sql.DataSource" factory="org.logicalcobwebs.proxool.ProxoolDataSource" user="username" password="password" proxool.driver-url="jdbc:oracle:thin:@fqdn.example.com:1521:MYSID" proxool.driver-class="oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver" proxool.alias="mysid" proxool.maximum-connection-count="20" proxool.statistics="20s,5m,15m" proxool.statistics-log-level="INFO" proxool.jmx="true" proxool.verbose="true" /> </GlobalNamingResources> My test .jsp can run queries and I can see it using the connections with the proxool admin servlet, but I'm unsure if there's more I need to configure in tomcat or proxool to get JMX functioning. • Setting JAVA_HOME on Ubuntu 10.x

    - by user20285
I'm trying to get the Rhodes framework installed so I can develop Android apps. This requires that I install the SUN JDK and add JAVA_HOME and JAVA_HOME/bin to path. I thought I could solve this by editing my bash.bashrc file: JAVA_HOME="/usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun/jre/bin/java" export JAVA_HOME PATH=$PATH:$JAVA_HOME/bin This still doesn't work, because when I run: rake run:android I get a prompt in the console that says the Java bin was not found in my path. However, running echo $PATH gets me: usernamee@ubuntu:~$ echo $PATH /usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/games:/home/username/ruby/gems/bin:/usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun/jre/bin/java/bin:/home/username/ruby_files/android-sdk-linux_86/tools What are my options here? Edit: If the problem is not the export statement, how can I ensure that the Sun JDK is properly installed and that I am, in fact, pointing to the correct path in bashrc?

  • Oracle VM Blade Cluster Reference Configuration

    - by Ferhat Hatay
Today we are happy to announce the availability of the Oracle VM blade cluster reference configuration for Sun Blade 6000 modular systems.  The new Oracle VM blade cluster reference configuration can help reduce the time to deploy virtual infrastructure by up to 98 percent when compared to multi-vendor configurations. Oracle's virtualization strategy is to simplify the deployment, management, and support of the enterprise stack from application to disk. The Oracle VM blade cluster reference configuration is a single-vendor solution that addresses every layer of the virtualization stack with Oracle hardware and software components. It enables quick and easy deployment of the virtualized infrastructure using components that have been tested together and are all supported together by one vendor — Oracle. All components listed in the reference configuration have been tested together by Oracle, reducing the need for customer testing and the time-consuming and complex effort of designing and deploying a stable configuration. Benefitting from pre-installed Oracle VM Server for x86 software on Oracle’s highly scalable and reliable Sun Blade servers with built-in networking and Oracle’s Sun ZFS Storage Appliance product line, the configuration provides high availability via the blade cluster as well as a documented best practice guide that helps reduce deployment time and cost for customers implementing highly virtualized applications or private cloud Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) architectures. To further support easier, faster and lower-cost deployments, Oracle Linux, Oracle Solaris and Oracle VM are available for pre-install on select Sun x86 systems, and Oracle VM Templates are available for download for Oracle Applications, Oracle Fusion Middleware, Oracle Database, Oracle Real Application Clusters, and many other Oracle products. Key benefits of the Oracle VM blade cluster reference configuration include: Faster time to value – Begin deploying applications immediately because the optimized software stack is pre-configured for best practices and is ready-to-run on the recommended hardware platforms. Reduced deployment cost and risk – The entire hardware and software stack has been tested and is supported together by Oracle. Elastic scalability – As capacity needs grow, the system can be easily scaled in multiple dimensions with the ability to add compute, storage, and networking resources independently. For more information, see: Oracle white paper: Accelerating deployment of virtualized infrastructures with the Oracle VM blade cluster reference configuration Oracle technical white paper: Best Practices and Guidelines for Deploying the Oracle VM Blade Cluster Reference Configuration

  • Happy Birthday, SPARC!

    - by A&C Redaktion

  • Az Oracle üzleti intelligencia csomag Windows Server 2008-on is, a kliens Vista op.rsz-en is

    - by Fekete Zoltán
Tegnap az Oracle BI Hands On rendezvényen felmerült a kérdés, hogy az Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Editon fut-e Windows Server 2008-on. A válasz: IGEN. Az Oracle BI EE fut a Windows Server 2008-on. A jelenleg támogatott operációs rendszerek: Microsoft Windows 2000/2003 Server; Microsoft Windows Server 2008 Enterprise Edition x86 32 bit2 - Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS 4.x; Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server/Advanced Platform 5 - Novell SUSE 9.x - Oracle Enterprise Linux 4; Oracle Enterprise Linux 5 - Sun Solaris 9 SPARC 32 bit ; Sun Solaris 9 SPARC 64 bit; Sun Solaris 10 SPARC 32 bit; Sun Solaris 10 SPARC 64 bit - AIX 5.2 PowerPC 32 bit; AIX 5.2 PowerPC 64 bit; AIX 5.3 PowerPC 32 bit; AIX 5.3 PowerPC 64 bit; AIX 6.1 PowerPC 32 bit; AIX 6.1 PowerPC 64 bit - HP-UX 11.11 PA-RISC 64 bit; HP-UX 11.23 PA-RISC 64 bit; HP-UX 11.23 Itanium 64 bit; HP-UX 11.31 Itanium 64 bit A böngészos hozzáférést az irányítópultokhoz (dashboard), interaktív elemzo munkához használható operációs rendszerek: Windows, Vista, Linux, Solaris, Apple Mac OS 10.x.

  • Allow JMX connection on JVM 1.6.x

    - by Martin Müller
While trying to monitor a JVM on a remote system using visualvm the activation of JMX gave me some challenges. Dr Google and my employers documentation quickly revealed some -D opts needed for JMX, but strangely it only worked for a Solaris 10 system (my setup: MacOS laptop monitoring SPARC Solaris based JVMs) On S11 with the same opts I saw that "my" JVM listening on port 3000 (which I chose for JMX), but visualvm was not able to get a connection. Finally I found out that at least my S11 installation needed an explicit setting of the RMI host name. This what finally worked:         -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote=true \        -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.ssl=false \        -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.authenticate=false \        -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.port=3000 \        -Djava.rmi.server.hostname=s11name.us.oracle.com \ Maybe this post saves someone else the time I spent on research
