• getUserPrincipal() in JCIFS / Lan-Manager authentitation level setting in Windows 2k8

  I have to find out in which exact format JCIFS stores the user principal in the "getUserPrincipal()" property. Therefor i created a test Environment like this: Windows Server 2008 Domain Controller Domain named "MYDOMAIN" Many Testusers in Active Directory Tomcat Application Server with my Web Application (which simply reads the user Principal and displays its values). The user should be logged in to the web-application with SSO therefor i need the format that jcifs is using to store the user. (For example user@MYDOMAIN or MYDOMAIN\user...) I tested the Authentication with other SSO frameworks with Kerberos Method and it works as expected. I'm now trying to use SSO through the NTLMHttpFilter of JCIFS. So what i also have to configure is the same policy on the client computer. I have to change the policy, so that the client computer sends NTLMv1. But it is always sending NTLMv2 tokens. The problem now is that i'm somehow not able to change this setting. (I already was before) because the dropdown box to choose the authentication method is "greyed out". edit: just to make this clear, this dialog is on the client-side in the "local-security policies" As you can see from this screenshot, the chosen method is "Only send NTLMv2 responses" which is the wrong setting and i'm pretty sure that this is causing the error above. My question is now, why can't i change this setting? Why is it greyd out?

• JBoss thrown error looking up local address when starting

  Hello im installing a fresh Jboss 5.1 in a Centos 5.5 machine. I dont have Apache installed. After that i can run Jboss only from 127.0.0.1:8080 but using localhost:8080 doesnt work. • why am I stuck on "Initiating update" when deploying to google

  I've have not had any trouble deploying through eclipse until now. I'm guessing it might have to do with all the stuff I've added today a folder of .pdf and .tex files (in war/web-inf directory) a bit of JDO stuff and a servlet that reads the files in the directory and indexes them into the JDO Is there any way to find out what exactly is the problem? • Frequent occurence of FULL GC.

  Hi, There is a frequent occurence of FULL GC in our system. We are using Java application running on Tomcat server. Our application is running using internal load balancer setup. We are seeing lot of Full GC's in the server logs due to which the application is hung and Proxy errors are occured. • Android: Strange out of memory issue

  I am not sure where to start to explain this one. I have a list view with a couple image buttons on each row. When you click the list row, it launches a new activity. If you review some of my other posts, I have had to build my own tabs because of an issue w/ the camera layout. The activity that gets launched for result is a map. If I click on my button to launch the image preview (load an image off the sd card) the application returns from the activity back to the listview activity to the result handler to relaunch my new activity which is nothing more than an image widget. So here is the issue, the image preview on the list view is being done w/ the cursor & listadapter. This makes it pretty simple, but I am not sure how I can put a resized (i.e. smaller bit size not pixel) image as the src for the imgbutton on the fly. So I just resized the image that came off the phone camera. The issue is that I get an out of memory error when it tries to go back and re-launch the 2nd activity. ** My question : is there a way I can build the list adapter easily row by row, where I can resize on the fly (bit wise)? - this would be preferable as I also need to make some changes to the properties of the widgets/elements in each row as I am unable to select a row w/ touch screen b/c of focus issue. (I can use roller ball). ** I know I can do an out of band resize and save of my image, but that is not really what I want to do, but some sample code for that would be nice if that is your suggestion. As soon as I disabled the image on the listview it worked fine again.   I am not able to get the Groovy MarkupBuilder to work with soapUI. I am very new to Groovy and I am just following one of the user guides on creating XML. Testing a very simple method: public String Example(){ def writer = new StringWriter() def root = new MarkupBuilder(writer) root.mkp.xmlDeclaration(version:"1.0", encoding:"UTF-8") root.Root{ Example("A") } return writer.toString() } I get the following error in soapUI: ava.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: MockXML$_Example_closure2 I have no error when I run from Groovy Console. In the same class I have: public String Hello(){ return "Hello" } Which works fine in soapUI.   I am new to GAE, I follow the instructions on http://code.google.com/eclipse/docs/install-eclipse-3.7.html. I got the installation and registration done pretty fast. But when I tried to build the helloWorld project in Eclipse, before I can do anything, Eclipse gives me an error says "java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/google/appengine/tools/enhancer/Enhance" and it is very weird. Because when you expand the app engine sdk, you can easily find the Enhance class under related jar file. I also tried Enhance e = null; and it is working. It seems that my eclipse just cannot find it. I don't know why it is not working, I am using JDK1.6, I reinstall my eclipse and the google plugins, I even disabled my firewall. Please help!!!

  Hi there, I am developing a simple app which does a little bit of image-processing. It's divided in two activities; the main one with some display elements and the second one which is used to capture images off the phone's camera. To discribe my problem: I start the app, capture an image (by starting a new Intent with the subactivity) and all data is displayed correctly. If I capture another image after this, I run in an java.lang.OutOfMemoryError - bitmap size exceeds VM budget I dont store the captured bitmap, in the second activity I just extract some data from it and pass it to the main-activity; finishing (finish()) the sub-activity afterwards. I really dont know what I can do about it. • ListView slow performance

  I've created a list of recipes using Listview/customcursoradapter. A custom layout includes a photo for the recipe , Now I've some problems with the performance of viewing and scrolling the Listview although it has only 10 records (Target is 150). sometimes i get this error java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: bitmap size exceeds VM budget , I've tried to implement the Async task but i failed to do it. Is there any way i can overcome this problem? Your help is highly appreciated !! • Why does this Java code not utilize all CPU cores?

  The attached simple Java code should load all available cpu core when starting it with the right parameters. So for instance, you start it with java VMTest 8 int 0 and it will start 8 threads that do nothing else than looping and adding 2 to an integer. Something that runs in registers and not even allocates new memory. The problem we are facing now is, that we do not get a 24 core machine loaded (AMD 2 sockets with 12 cores each), when running this simple program (with 24 threads of course). Similar things happen with 2 programs each 12 threads or smaller machines. So our suspicion is that the JVM (Sun JDK 6u20 on Linux x64) does not scale well. Did anyone see similar things or has the ability to run it and report whether or not it runs well on his/her machine (= 8 cores only please)? Ideas? • Is it normal for Java /Tomcat to keep checking for java_pid<nnnn>.hprof?

  I was monitoring my JVM running Apache Tomcat 6, running on Windows, and I noticed that every 3 seconds or so the JVM process (C:\Tomcat\bin\tomcat6.exe) is polling to see whether or not C:\Tomcatcat\java_pid3748.hprof exists, where 3748 is the Windows process ID. I haven't seen write to the hprof file, just test for existence. (I'm using Sysinternals Process Monitor (procmon.exe) for this monitoring. In procmon the polling shows up as a QueryDirectory operation, which always returns Result "NO SUCH FILE".) Is this normal, or is this a potential red flag? I gather that these hprof files are generated, perhaps among other times, when you enable the -XX:+HeapDumpOnOutOfMemoryError Java flag. I haven't enabled it myself, though I guess it could be enabled somehow in the Tomcat startup scripts.
