    Hi there! I've installed MDS simulator it runs ans stays in console window, i've downloaded blackberry sim for 9530, all settings are default. When i click browser and then click home page i got following error message: Unable to connect to the selected Mobile Data Service, please try again. I'm connected to internet, however, i'm behind router, all firewalls are turned off, i'm on windows 7.

  • how to make the android app load faster?

    I have designed an application for android, in which i am showing a splash screen before the main activity is started but the application takes 5-7 seconds to start on low-end devices. I want to reduce that time to as low as possible. I have been trying to reduce the things to be done in onCreate() but now i cannot remove any thing more from that. I am pasting the code that i have used to show the splash and the code from MainActivity. Please help me in reducing the startup time of the application.     I am new to windows C/C++ programming. I am trying to get a binary program (.exe) to run which needs VTK library. I have installed VTK from http://vtk.org/VTK/resources/software.html on 64-bit windows 7. When I run the binary program, it generates an error in a window saying that "vtkCommon.dll is missing from your computer". Should I add the folder in which VTK has been installed to the windows PATH?

MyViewController *viewController = [[MyViewController alloc] init]; [myWindow addSubview:viewController.view]; [viewController release]; As I understand, myWindow should be retaining viewController.view for as long as the window needs it. So why does this cause my app to crash on launch? (commenting out the last line fixes the problem, as expected)

  • Is there any way to automatically close filename completetion buffers in Emacs?

    For example, when you open a file via C-x-C-f, you can TAB complete file names, and if there are more than one possible completions, it will pop open a completion buffer with a list of possible completions. The problem is, after you've opened the file, the window the buffer was in switches back to normal, but it doesn't close. Is there any way I can make those buffers close automatically after the file has been opened?

  • Position of SlidingDrawer handle?

    I would like to have two overlapping SlidingDrawers (spanning the whole application window) with their handles side by side so that the user can open both drawers easily. However, it seems that the handle is always positioned horizontally centered (for a vertical SlidingDrawer) so that the handles collide. I tried both FrameLayout and RelativeLayout for the parent, but layout options like android:layout_alignRight seem to be ignored for the handles.

  • VS 2008 hangs(slow) when I select "File > Open > Web Site..."

    When I try to select the following "File Open Web Site" or use the shortcut key "Shift + Alt + O" (which does the same), Visual Studio 2008 hangs with the loading mouse icon for about 8-10 seconds then the file. But if I do "File Open Project/Solution.." or "File Open File..." the explorer window comes up in under a second, instantly most times. Computer Specs: Windows 7 x64 Visual Studio 2008 Pro Edition with Service Pack 1 Intel Core2 Due e6420 @ 3.2GHz 4GB DDR2

    in a large listview control collection (say 5000 items), adding a SINGLE extra item can take 10+ seconds in windows vista/7, and that's just the LVM_INSERTITEM message handling it looks that it only affects LVS_ICON, LVS_REPORT and LVS_LIST are still very fast can anybody confirm this? the same code on windows XP with similar listview window styles adds an extra item instantly thanks nikos
