• A good Sorted List for Java

  I'm looking for a good sorted list for java. Googling around give me some hints about using TreeSet/TreeMap. But these components is lack of one thing: random access to an element in the set. For example, I want to access nth element in the sorted set, but with TreeSet, I must iterate over other n-1 elements before I can get there. It would be a waste since I would have upto several thousands elements in my Set. Basically, I'm looking for some thing similar to a sorted list in .NET, with ability to add element fast, remove element fast, and have random access to any element in the list. Has this kind of sorted list implemented somewhere? Thanks.

  I'm trying to sends mails in PHP. The code I used for sending a mail in CakePHP is given below. I get the message 'Simple Email Sent' in my web page but the mail is not delivered to my inbox. Am I missing something?   Hello, I am using Ctools Dependency to make a fieldset hideable. Both have #process and #dependency parameters and both point to one field for dependent value. Problem is elements like select or textfield can be hidden easily but it does not work for fieldset. In this support request page, CTools creator has mentioned that '#input' = true is a work around. As you see I added it to code, but it does not work as well. Do you have any suggestion?

  Suppose I have a numpy array x = [5, 2, 3, 1, 4, 5], y = ['f', 'o', 'o', 'b', 'a', 'r']. I want to select the elements in y corresponding to elements in x that are greater than 1 and less than 5. I tried x = array([5, 2, 3, 1, 4, 5]) y = array(['f','o','o','b','a','r']) output = y[x > 1 & x < 5] # desired output is ['o','o','b','a'] but this doesn't work. How would I do this?

• c++ std::map question about iterator order

  Hi all, I am a C++ newbie trying to use a map so I can get constant time lookups for the find() method. The problem is that when I use an iterator to go over the elements in the map, elements do not appear in the same order that they were placed in the map. Without maintaining another data structure, is there a way to achieve in order iteration while still retaining the constant time lookup ability? Please let me know.   I'm building a FormType for a Symfony2 project but I need some Query Builder on the field since I need to compare some values with the one stored on DB and show the results. • Django ManyToMany Membership errors making associations

  I'm trying to have a "member admin" in which they have hundreds of members in the group. These members can be in several groups. Admins can remove access for the member ideally in the view. I'm having trouble just creating the group. I used a ManytoManyField to get started. Ideally, the "member admin" would be able to either select existing Users OR it would be able to Add/Invite new ones via email address. • Excel 2010 VBA code is stuck when UserForm is shown

  I've created a UserForm as a progress indicator while a web query (using InternetExplorer object) runs in the background. The code gets triggered as shown below. The progress indicator form is called 'Progerss'. I also see that the range of cells in column A gets cleared which tells me that the vbModeless is doing what I want. But then, somewhere within the GetWebData() procedure, things get hung up. As soon as I manually destroy the progress indicator form, the GetWebData() routine finishes and I see the correct results. But if I leave the progress indicator visible, things just get stuck indefinitely. The code below shows what GetWebData() is doing.   Hi... I am sending an Ajax Request using jQuery. What happens is that I am getting an "405 Method Not Allowed" Error. I am just posting a form, which would get the detail from the form and insert it into the DB. Just the usual stuff.I am using WEBrick that comes as default with the rails package. • Best way to pass a 2d array into javascript from php?

  Ok, what i'm trying to do here is to pass a 2d array from php to javascript in the easiest way possible. The main reason for this is because i have the array which is previously filled with data via the phpscript and doing it one by one and just "calling it as it's needed" will not work out too well since well there's more than just one row required when it's called and i'd rather not do something like for all of the elements in it as it's number is unknown until it gets said data from the database. I was going to do a while loop to write in some of the data into elements sot hat it coudl be later pulled up more easily but i cannot seem to find an easy way to do this currently. If anyone has an easy way to transfer this to javascript without having to do what i previously said.

• Incremental Compilation in Eclipse. ASTNode-s and SVN versioning

  Hi there, I am building up some statistics after analyzing the source code in eclipse. But the overall process is too slow because i rebuild my model every time from scratch after each compilation. I am looking for a way to get only the changed parts of the code (as ASTNodes) and to rebuild just that part of my model. I suppose that even the changed compilation units and not the exact code elements would be enough after the user compiles and still would be a nice optimization. I am sure eclipse is capable of knowing what code elements are changed (and even to know their semantics), because when I use the subclipse plugin my changes are ordered by a code element (an import, a method, a variable declaration, etc). Well.. at least that plugin is capable of knowing that info. Thanks in advance

  I have to draw a graph of elements composing a topological model of a physical network. There would be nodes and arches, and the latter could be unidirectional or bidirectional. I would like to capture the clicking events for the nodes and the arches (to select the element and show its properties somewhere), and the dragging events for the nodes (to move them around) and arches (to connect or disconnect elements). I've done some research and I've narrowed the alternatives down to OGL (Object Graphics Library) and FloatCanvas. I would not like to go down to the DrawingContext, but it is not discarded if necessary. Which canvas option would you choose?

I only found how add click event on one widget layout element (with setOnClickPendingIntent), and how send text to widget element TextView. But it's unclear how handle click events for sub-elemets, or how get click coordinates(or item) where was click event. I saw widget "Agenda widget" - and it work fine with clicking on different calendar rows. I will be very much appreciated for help.

Even some short, quick bullets would be really helpful -- thank you! Are you starting from scratch in InfoPath, or are you converting from paper or a different e-format? (Jetform, PDF, etc.) Are you trying to re-create the layout of a specific paper form, or is a regular online form OK? (trying to learn what the latest thinking is about this) Do you need only simple fill and submit capabilities, or do you need programming for calculations, validation, database lookup/entry/reporting, etc. as well? (don’t know how much harder it is to do all this vs. not) How long does each form take to finish? (I know it depends, but is there a rough guideline for planning purposes?) • How can I determine img width/height of dynamically loaded images in IE?

  My markup is a simple div element with id 'load'. Using jQuery I then load a list of image elements into this div: $('#load').load('images.html', { }, function() { $(this).onImagesLoad({ selectorCallback: function() { ....do something.... } }); }); where images.html is a list like this: <img src='1.jpg' caption='img 1'> <img src='2.jpg' caption='img 2'> ... To ensure that all images are loaded completely, I use the onImagesLoad plugin. This, so far, works just fine on all browsers. However, on IE8 (and I assume other versions of IE also) when I then iterate over the img elements, I am unable to determine the width/height of the images loaded. The image.context.naturalWidth and naturalHeight attributes don't seem to work. How do I get a hold of the images' dimension? Thanks heaps :)

  I am trying to implement a clone() method on a DoubleLinkedList. Now, the problem is that implementing it by "the convention" is a lot more troublesome than just creating a new DoubleLinkedList and filling it with all the elements of my current DoubleLinkedList. Is there any inconvenient I am not seeing when doing that? • JQuery Validation Plugin not working when used on page that includes another page via AJAX

  We have a long page that contains a bunch of different form elements. One part of the form is called remotely via AJAX and is populated in an empty div. This is the part which JQuery Validation plugin is not working correctly on. We have class="required" on the elements on this page, but they do not show up as required. I'm guessing it's because the Validation plugin is looking for class="required" on our main page, and since the content from the AJAX page is put into the empty div behind the scenes, it's not detected the required fields. Any help is greatly appreciated.

• How to post only a specific ASCX partial instead of the whole page

  I've got an ASPX page rendering a search ascx page which in turn will fill a grid on the main ASPX page. Aside that, I've also got an ascx page which uploads files, like this: <form method="post" action="<%= Url.Action("UploadFile") %>" enctype="multipart/form-data"> <fieldset> <input type="file" name="file" id="file" /> <%=Html.ButtonSubmit("Upload") %> </fieldset></form> Here's the problem: imagine I have searched for a single entry to be displayed on the grid. The grid displays this single entry and after wards, I upload a file and press the button "Upload". The whole page gets posted and the content in the grid is lost, now displaying all the results available. What could I do to prevent this from happening, maintaining the grid state (we're not using ViewState) or otherwise not posting back the whole page but only the ascx with the file upload? Note: I'm new to MVC.

  I'm trying to create a custom attribute called Tag for all editable elements. I added the following to attrs.xml <declare-styleable name="Spinner"> <attr name="tag" format="string" /> </declare-styleable> <declare-styleable name="EditText"> <attr name="tag" format="string" /> </declare-styleable> I get an error saying "Attribute tag has already been defined" for the EditText. Is it not possible to create a custom attribute of the same name on different elements?
