  • Access/update Telerik RadGrid item values in code-behind before ODS event handler

    Hi there, I need to update some of the values of the item being edited in my code-behind based on some values in a custom Edit Form on our Rad Grid. Can I access the item (and update some values) from one of the Grid's event handlers? Currently I'm storing the values in temporary variables and then injecting the new values in the ObjectDataSource's Inserting/Updating event handlers, but it would be much nicer if I could do it all in one spot. (I can't do it all in the ObjectDataSource event handlers as I can't access the controls inside my Grid's Edit Form.) I've been playing with the ExtractValues and UpdateValues methods of the GridEditableItem object, but I'm not having any luck. Any tips would be greatly appreciated :)

  • Compile Delphi component package (bpl) for different Delphi versions

    Hello. The situation is the following. Typically I use RAD Studio 2010 for Delphi development. I have some components I would like to redistribute in binary form (*.bpl without source). But I would like people to be able to use them despite of their Delphi version. But, for example, dcu files can be used only by compiler version, which generated them. Almost the same situation is with bpl files as I know. Every bpl file will require corresponding VCLXX.bpl library depending on Delphi version. How do I make my bpls, compiled in 2010 to be able to be used in Delphi7, 2007 etc? Is the only solution to have ALL Delphi versions installed and compile bpl files separately in each?

    I'm trying to build a debug version of rtl140.bpl to make debugging apps with runtime packages easier. I built the DPK and ran DCC32 on it, and it gets a ways in, then dies. C:\Program Files (x86)\Embarcadero\RAD Studio\7.0\source\Win32\rtl\sys\Variants.pas(1072) Fatal: F2092 Program or unit 'Variants' recursively uses itself But looking at Variants.pas, I can't see how. It only uses SysUtils and Types in the interface section, and neither of those use Variants, or use anything that uses Variants. Does anyone have any idea why this is breaking?

    We have recently moved to Delphi 2009. I can't find the TShellListView and TShellTreeView controls. Do I need to install something extra? From searching the web it seems they are shipped with Delphi 2009 but for some reason they havent been installed. Has anyone had a similar problem? Update: This is so unbelivably idiotic.     I've been doing quite large application recently with Java - Swing. Now I'd like to move to web. Basically - I am not Microsoft guy, Java is fine with me. I've checked some basics of Java EE framework and decided that my choice will be Spring. I already am familiar with JDBC. Learning Spring is one thing, but working just with GUIs (C++ and Java) means that I have very poor knowledge of web development. Before I start reading tutorials of Spring MVC, what should I know to develop web solutions? I am mainly interested "how to" with graphics ... start from scratch or some nice IDE RAD-like development ? I kind of like f.e. Silverlight and integrating to web or asp.net win forms - allows us 'GUI' people develop faster. So can you please give me some useful advices? Thanx

    Hi All, I have been trying to set up local debugging for my ASP.NET app in Delphi and am getting the error above. I have used the aspnet_regiis.exe tool with the following: Aspnet_regiis.exe -s W3SVC/1/ROOT/DevTest but this hasn't helped. It added it to IIS as an application but I am still getting the error: The project cannot be debugged because virtual directory "DevTes" is not configured with ASP.NET version 2.0 or 3.0 Use aspnet_regiis.exe to configure the local IIS web server. I am not really sure where to go from here so need some help please: Machine specs: Windows 7 64bit, IIS7, Using RAD Studio 2007.

  • Export Websphere 6.1 Profile with datasource configuration

    Hello, I'm trying to export a profile from WAS 6.1 so that I can give it to other members of my team with all of the JNDI and Shared Library configurations in place. I've flowed a few IBM tutorials on this like http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21322309 (technically that is more a bug fix, but there is a similar page). I've tried to export the server using the "import" feature of the server in RAD 7. None of these options create a .car file with the resources sticking around. Does anyone know how to do this?     We're using the Telerik Rad Controls for ASP.Net Ajax on an ASP.Net MVC project. The RadChart generates the following HTML: <img onerror="if(confirm('Error loading RadChart image.\nYou may also wish to check the ASP.NET Trace for further details.\nDisplay stack trace?'))window.location.href=this.src;" src="ChartImage.axd?UseSession=true&amp;ChartID=e25ad666-e05b-4a92-ac0c-4f2c729b9382_chart_ctl00$MainContent$AverageCTMChart&amp;imageFormat=Png&amp;random=0.501658702968461" usemap="#imctl00_MainContent_AverageCTMChart" style="border-width: 0px;" alt=""> I'd like to remove the onerror attribute; I don't really want the customers being offered the option to see a stack trace if something goes wrong. I can't see any way to control the markup that this control generates. Google searches provide no help. Has anyone dealt with this before? How do I remove the onerror attribute?

  • Ejb lookup failing on WAS7.0 with NamingException

    Hi, I have an application developed on RAD using WAS 6.0. I migrated the code to WID 7.0. After making some changes in the EJB modules(Had to remove the bnd.xmi file from each ejb module to deploy the application on Application Server)the application is running fine, but the EJB modules give the following error: NamingException has Occured While Getting Local Home javax.naming.NameNotFoundException:nullName ejb/com/igcc not found in context "local:". I am not able to figure out what changes do it need to make to run the application on WID. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Ayush

    I have a xml that i need to bind to XTemplate. The XML structure is as follows John Smith John Doe Johny Byrd I am using Ext.data.Store with proxyurl tot he xml, Ext.data.XML reader to rad the xml and a listener that bind the data to the Xtemplate. The xmlreader needs a root node to be specified and i have to give root name as "Student_Name" It need to bind it to one more store for "Faculty_Name" as the root node. SO i end up calling my service to get xml twice. Is there a way to call service once to get the xml and bind it to two stores with different root nodes.

  • portlet-mvc 3.0 + maven for websphere portlet: examples?

    I'm trying to develop a websphere portal portlet using java, maven and spring-portlet-mvc 3.0.2.RELEASE but so far I'm not having a lot of luck. The problem that I'm having is that a lot of the tutorials are either outdated, incorrect, contradict eachother or a combination of all the above. Also I have to use RAD but the tutorials also contradict eachother, logically I'd think you'd choose new portlet project, but http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/websphere/library/techarticles/0802_patil-pt1/0802_patil-pt1.html says to use a dynamic webproject. So I was wondering if anyone had a nice example/good tutorial.
