oke heres the problem, I have a ContentControl3D object from thriple in that im creating a LibraryStack with images it runs fine, until i run the function where the LibraryStack gets created and filled. when i click on any of the objects inside i get the following error An unspecified error occurred on the render thread. with stacktrace at System.Windows.Media.MediaContext.NotifyPartitionIsZombie(Int32 failureCode) at System.Windows.Media.MediaContext.NotifyChannelMessage() at System.Windows.Interop.HwndTarget.HandleMessage(Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam) at System.Windows.Interop.HwndSource.HwndTargetFilterMessage(IntPtr hwnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wParam, IntPtr lParam, Boolean& handled) at MS.Win32.HwndWrapper.WndProc(IntPtr hwnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wParam, IntPtr lParam, Boolean& handled) at MS.Win32.HwndSubclass.DispatcherCallbackOperation(Object o) at System.Windows.Threading.ExceptionWrapper.InternalRealCall(Delegate callback, Object args, Boolean isSingleParameter) at System.Windows.Threading.ExceptionWrapper.TryCatchWhen(Object source, Delegate callback, Object args, Boolean isSingleParameter, Delegate catchHandler) at System.Windows.Threading.Dispatcher.WrappedInvoke(Delegate callback, Object args, Boolean isSingleParameter, Delegate catchHandler) at System.Windows.Threading.Dispatcher.InvokeImpl(DispatcherPriority priority, TimeSpan timeout, Delegate method, Object args, Boolean isSingleParameter) at System.Windows.Threading.Dispatcher.Invoke(DispatcherPriority priority, Delegate method, Object arg) at MS.Win32.HwndSubclass.SubclassWndProc(IntPtr hwnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wParam, IntPtr lParam) at MS.Win32.UnsafeNativeMethods.DispatchMessage(MSG& msg) at System.Windows.Threading.Dispatcher.PushFrameImpl(DispatcherFrame frame) at System.Windows.Threading.Dispatcher.PushFrame(DispatcherFrame frame) at System.Windows.Threading.Dispatcher.Run() at System.Windows.Application.RunDispatcher(Object ignore) at System.Windows.Application.RunInternal(Window window) at System.Windows.Application.Run(Window window) at System.Windows.Application.Run() at WelkoMap.App.Main() in F:\MediaGarde\Surface\Development\WelkoMap\WelkoMap\obj\Debug\App.g.cs:line 0 at System.AppDomain._nExecuteAssembly(Assembly assembly, String[] args) at System.AppDomain.ExecuteAssembly(String assemblyFile, Evidence assemblySecurity, String[] args) at Microsoft.VisualStudio.HostingProcess.HostProc.RunUsersAssembly() at System.Threading.ThreadHelper.ThreadStart_Context(Object state) at System.Threading.ExecutionContext.Run(ExecutionContext executionContext, ContextCallback callback, Object state) at System.Threading.ThreadHelper.ThreadStart() heres the code that adds and creates the LibraryStack and fills it public void ReplaceBackContent(List<Image> images, List<MediaElement> videos) { ContentControl3D control = this.TryFindParent<ContentControl3D>(); if (control == null) { return; } LibraryStack stack = new LibraryStack(); foreach (Image image in images) { if (image.Parent != null) { continue; } LibraryStackItem item = new LibraryStackItem(); item.Content = image; stack.Items.Add(item); } control.BackContent = stack; } Since it has the NotifyPartitionIsZombie error i already installed windows update KB967634 which had absolutely no effect at all

  • How to stop UITableView moveRowAtIndexPath from leaving blank rows upon reordering

    - by coneybeare
    I am having an issue where in reordering my UITableViewCells, the tableView is not scrolling with the cell. Only a blank row appears and any subsequent scrolling gets an Array out of bounds error without any of my code in the Stack Trace. Here is a quick video of the problem. Here is the relevant code: - (BOOL)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView canEditRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath { return indexPath.section == 1; } - (BOOL)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView canMoveRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath { BOOL ret = indexPath.section == 1 && indexPath.row < self.count; DebugLog(@"canMoveRowAtIndexPath: %d:%d %@", indexPath.section, indexPath.row, (ret ? @"YES" : @"NO")); return ret; } - (void)delayedUpdateCellBackgroundPositionsForTableView:(UITableView *)tableView { [self performSelectorOnMainThread:@selector(updateCellBackgroundPositionsForTableView:) withObject:tableView waitUntilDone:NO]; } - (void)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView moveRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)fromIndexPath toIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)toIndexPath { if (fromIndexPath.row == toIndexPath.row) return; DebugLog(@"Moved audio from %d:%d to %d:%d", fromIndexPath.section, fromIndexPath.row, toIndexPath.section, toIndexPath.row); NSMutableArray *audio = [self.items objectAtIndex:fromIndexPath.section]; [audio exchangeObjectAtIndex:fromIndexPath.row withObjectAtIndex:toIndexPath.row]; [self performSelector:@selector(delayedUpdateCellBackgroundPositionsForTableView:) withObject:tableView afterDelay:kDefaultAnimationDuration/3]; } And here is the generated Stack Trace of the crash: Exception Type: EXC_BREAKPOINT (SIGTRAP) Exception Codes: 0x0000000000000002, 0x0000000000000000 Crashed Thread: 0 Dispatch queue: com.apple.main-thread Application Specific Information: iPhone Simulator 3.2 (193.3), iPhone OS 3.0 (7A341) *** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSRangeException', reason: '*** -[NSCFArray removeObjectsInRange:]: index (6) beyond bounds (6)' Thread 0 Crashed: Dispatch queue: com.apple.main-thread 0 CoreFoundation 0x302ac924 ___TERMINATING_DUE_TO_UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION___ + 4 1 libobjc.A.dylib 0x93cb2509 objc_exception_throw + 56 2 CoreFoundation 0x3028e5fb +[NSException raise:format:arguments:] + 155 3 CoreFoundation 0x3028e55a +[NSException raise:format:] + 58 4 Foundation 0x305684e9 _NSArrayRaiseBoundException + 121 5 Foundation 0x30553a6e -[NSCFArray removeObjectsInRange:] + 142 6 UIKit 0x30950105 -[UITableView(_UITableViewPrivate) _updateVisibleCellsNow] + 862 7 UIKit 0x30947715 -[UITableView layoutSubviews] + 250 8 QuartzCore 0x0090bd94 -[CALayer layoutSublayers] + 78 9 QuartzCore 0x0090bb55 CALayerLayoutIfNeeded + 229 10 QuartzCore 0x0090b3ae CA::Context::commit_transaction(CA::Transaction*) + 302 11 QuartzCore 0x0090b022 CA::Transaction::commit() + 292 12 QuartzCore 0x009132e0 CA::Transaction::observer_callback(__CFRunLoopObserver*, unsigned long, void*) + 84 13 CoreFoundation 0x30245c32 __CFRunLoopDoObservers + 594 14 CoreFoundation 0x3024503f CFRunLoopRunSpecific + 2575 15 CoreFoundation 0x30244628 CFRunLoopRunInMode + 88 16 GraphicsServices 0x32044c31 GSEventRunModal + 217 17 GraphicsServices 0x32044cf6 GSEventRun + 115 18 UIKit 0x309021ee UIApplicationMain + 1157 19 XXXXXXXX 0x0000278a main + 104 (main.m:12) 20 XXXXXXXX 0x000026f6 start + 54 NOte that the array out of bounds length is not the length of my elements (I have 9), but always something smaller. I am using the three20 framework and I have not had any issues with reordering till now. The problem is also not in the updateCellBackgroundPositionsForTableView: method as it still crashes when this is commented out.

  • How can I read individual lines of a CSV file into a string array, to then be selectively displayed

    - by Ryan
I need your help, guys! :| I've got myself a CSV file with the following contents: 1,The Compact,1.8GHz,1024MB,160GB,440 2,The Medium,2.4GHz,1024MB,180GB,500 3,The Workhorse,2.4GHz,2048MB,220GB,650 It's a list of computer systems, basically, that the user can purchase. I need to read this file, line-by-line, into an array. Let's call this array csvline(). The first line of the text file would stored in csvline(0). Line two would be stored in csvline(1). And so on. (I've started with zero because that's where VB starts its arrays). A drop-down list would then enable the user to select 1, 2 or 3 (or however many lines/systems are stored in the file). Upon selecting a number - say, 1 - csvline(0) would be displayed inside a textbox (textbox1, let's say). If 2 was selected, csvline(1) would be displayed, and so on. It's not the formatting I need help with, though; that's the easy part. I just need someone to help teach me how to read a CSV file line-by-line, putting each line into a string array - csvlines(count) - then increment count by one so that the next line is read into another slot. So far, I've been able to paste the numbers of each system into an combobox: Using csvfileparser As New Microsoft.VisualBasic.FileIO.TextFieldParser _ ("F:\folder\programname\programname\bin\Debug\systems.csv") Dim csvalue As String() csvfileparser.TextFieldType = Microsoft.VisualBasic.FileIO.FieldType.Delimited csvfileparser.Delimiters = New String() {","} While Not csvfileparser.EndOfData csvalue = csvfileparser.ReadFields() combobox1.Items.Add(String.Format("{1}{0}", _ Environment.NewLine, _ csvalue(0))) End While End Using But this only selects individual values. I need to figure out how selecting one of these numbers in the combobox can trigger textbox1 to be appended with just that line (I can handle the formatting, using the string.format stuff). If I try to do this using csvalue = csvtranslator.ReadLine , I get the following error message: "Error 1 Value of type 'String' cannot be converted to '1-dimensional array of String'." If I then put it as an array, ie: csvalue() = csvtranslator.ReadLine , I then get a different error message: "Error 1 Number of indices is less than the number of dimensions of the indexed array." What's the knack, guys? I've spent hours trying to figure this out. Please go easy on me - and keep any responses ultra-simple for my newbie brain - I'm very new to all this programming malarkey and just starting out! :)

  • Seeking for faster $.(':data(key)')

    - by PoltoS
I'm writing an extension to jQuery that adds data to DOM elements using el.data('lalala', my_data); and then uses that data to upload elements dynamically. Each time I get new data from the server I need to update all elements having el.data('lalala') != null; To get all needed elements I use an extension by James Padolsey: $(':data(lalala)').each(...); Everything was great until I came to the situation where I need to run that code 50 times - it is very slow! It takes about 8 seconds to execute on my page with 3640 DOM elements var x, t = (new Date).getTime(); for (n=0; n < 50; n++) { jQuery(':data(lalala)').each(function() { x++; }); }; console.log(((new Date).getTime()-t)/1000); Since I don't need RegExp as parameter of :data selector I've tried to replace this by var x, t = (new Date).getTime(); for (n=0; n < 50; n++) { jQuery('*').each(function() { if ($(this).data('lalala')) x++; }); }; console.log(((new Date).getTime()-t)/1000); This code is faster (5 sec), but I want get more. Q Are there any faster way to get all elements with this data key? In fact, I can keep an array with all elements I need, since I execute .data('key') in my module. Checking 100 elements having the desired .data('lalala') is better then checking 3640 :) So the solution would be like for (i in elements) { el = elements[i]; .... But sometimes elements are removed from the page (using jQuery .remove()). Both solutions described above [$(':data(lalala)') solution and if ($(this).data('lalala'))] will skip removed items (as I need), while the solution with array will still point to removed element (in fact, the element would not be really deleted - it will only be deleted from the DOM tree - because my array will still have a reference). I found that .remove() also removes data from the node, so my solution will change into var toRemove = []; for (vari in elements) { var el = elements[i]; if ($(el).data('lalala')) .... else toRemove.push(i); }; for (var ii in toRemove) elements.splice(toRemove[ii], 1); // remove element from array This solution is 100 times faster! Q Will the garbage collector release memory taken by DOM elements when deleted from that array? Remember, elements have been referenced by DOM tree, we made a new reference in our array, then removed with .remove() and then removed from the array. Is there a better way to do this?

  • Django: CharField with fixed length, how?

    - by Giovanni Di Milia
Hi everybody, I wold like to have in my model a CharField with fixed length. In other words I want that only a specified length is valid. I tried to do something like volumenumber = models.CharField('Volume Number', max_length=4, min_length=4) but it gives me an error (it seems that I can use both max_length and min_length at the same time). Is there another quick way? Thanks EDIT: Following the suggestions of some people I will be a bit more specific: My model is this: class Volume(models.Model): vid = models.AutoField(primary_key=True) jid = models.ForeignKey(Journals, db_column='jid', null=True, verbose_name = "Journal") volumenumber = models.CharField('Volume Number') date_publication = models.CharField('Date of Publication', max_length=6, blank=True) class Meta: db_table = u'volume' verbose_name = "Volume" ordering = ['jid', 'volumenumber'] unique_together = ('jid', 'volumenumber') def __unicode__(self): return (str(self.jid) + ' - ' + str(self.volumenumber)) What I want is that the volumenumber must be exactly 4 characters. I.E. if someone insert '4b' django gives an error because it expects a string of 4 characters. So I tried with volumenumber = models.CharField('Volume Number', max_length=4, min_length=4) but it gives me this error: Validating models... Unhandled exception in thread started by <function inner_run at 0x70feb0> Traceback (most recent call last): File "/Library/Python/2.5/site-packages/django/core/management/commands/runserver.py", line 48, in inner_run self.validate(display_num_errors=True) File "/Library/Python/2.5/site-packages/django/core/management/base.py", line 249, in validate num_errors = get_validation_errors(s, app) File "/Library/Python/2.5/site-packages/django/core/management/validation.py", line 28, in get_validation_errors for (app_name, error) in get_app_errors().items(): File "/Library/Python/2.5/site-packages/django/db/models/loading.py", line 131, in get_app_errors self._populate() File "/Library/Python/2.5/site-packages/django/db/models/loading.py", line 58, in _populate self.load_app(app_name, True) File "/Library/Python/2.5/site-packages/django/db/models/loading.py", line 74, in load_app models = import_module('.models', app_name) File "/Library/Python/2.5/site-packages/django/utils/importlib.py", line 35, in import_module __import__(name) File "/Users/Giovanni/src/djangoTestSite/../djangoTestSite/journaldb/models.py", line 120, in <module> class Volume(models.Model): File "/Users/Giovanni/src/djangoTestSite/../djangoTestSite/journaldb/models.py", line 123, in Volume volumenumber = models.CharField('Volume Number', max_length=4, min_length=4) TypeError: __init__() got an unexpected keyword argument 'min_length' That obviously doesn't appear if I use only "max_length" OR "min_length". I read the documentation on the django web site and it seems that I'm right (I cannot use both together) so I'm asking if there is another way to solve the problem. Thanks again

  • Custom Control Not Playing Nice With PropertyGrid

    - by lumberjack4
    I have a class that is implementing a custom ToolStripItem. Everything seems to work great until I try to add the item to a ContextMenuStrip at design time. If I try to add my custom control straight from the ContextMenuStrip the PropertyGrid freezes up and will not let me modify my Checked or Text properties. But if I go into the ContextMenuStrip PropertyGrid and add my custom control through the Items(...) property, I can modify the custom control just fine within that dialog. I'm not sure if I'm missing an attribute somewhere of if its a problem with the underlying code. Here is a copy of the CustomToolStripItem class. As you can see, its a very simple class. [ToolStripItemDesignerAvailability(ToolStripItemDesignerAvailability.ContextMenuStrip)] public class CustomToolStripItem : ToolStripControlHost { #region Public Properties [Description("Gets or sets a value indicating whether the object is in the checked state")] [ReadOnly(false)] public bool Checked { get { return checkBox.Checked; } set { checkBox.Checked = value; } } [Description("Gets or sets the object's text")] [ReadOnly(false)] public override string Text { get { return checkBox.Text; } set { checkBox.Text = value; } } #endregion Public Properties #region Public Events public event EventHandler CheckedChanged; #endregion Public Events #region Constructors public CustomToolStripItem() : base(new FlowLayoutPanel()) { // Setup the FlowLayoutPanel. controlPanel = (FlowLayoutPanel)base.Control; controlPanel.BackColor = Color.Transparent; // Add the child controls. checkBox.AutoSize = true; controlPanel.Controls.Add(checkBox); ContextMenuStrip strip = new ContextMenuStrip(); } #endregion Constructors #region Protected Methods protected override void OnSubscribeControlEvents(Control control) { base.OnSubscribeControlEvents(control); checkBox.CheckedChanged += new EventHandler(CheckChanged); } protected override void OnUnsubscribeControlEvents(Control control) { base.OnUnsubscribeControlEvents(control); checkBox.CheckedChanged -= new EventHandler(CheckChanged); } #endregion Protected Methods #region Private Methods private void CheckChanged(object sender, EventArgs e) { // Throw the CustomToolStripItem's CheckedChanged event EventHandler handler = CheckedChanged; if (handler != null) { handler(sender, e); } } #endregion Private Methods #region Private Fields private FlowLayoutPanel controlPanel; private CheckBox checkBox = new CheckBox(); #endregion Private Fields }

  • Animating custom-drawn UITableViewCell when entering edit mode

    - by Adam Alexander
Background First of all, much gratitude to atebits for their very informative blog post Fast Scrolling in Tweetie with UITableView. The post explains in detail how the developers were able to squeeze as much scrolling performance as possible out of the UITableViews in Tweetie. Goals Beginning with the source code linked from the blog post (original) (my github repo): Allow a UITableView using these custom cells to switch to edit mode, exposing the UI for deleting an item from the table. (github commit) Move the cell's text aside as the deletion control slides in from the left. This is complete, although the text jumps back and forth without animation. (github commit) Apply animation to the text movement in goal 2 above for a smooth user experience. This is the step where I became stuck. The Question What is the best way to introduce this animation to complete goal 3? It would be nice if this could be done in a manner that keeps the logic from my last commit because I would love the option to move the conflicting part of the view only, while any non-conflicting portions (such as right-justified text) stay in the same place or move a different number of pixels. If the above is not possible then undoing my last commit and replacing it with an option that slides the entire view to the right would be a workable solution also. I appreciate any help anyone can provide, from quick pointers and ideas all the way to code snippets or github commits. Of course you are welcome to fork my repo if you would like. I will be staying involved with this question to make sure any successful resolution is committed to github and fully documented here. Thanks very much for your time! Updated thoughts I have been thinking about this a lot since my first post and realized that moving some text items relative to others in the view could undo some of the original performance goals solved in the original blog post. So at this point I am thinking a solution where the entire single subview is animated to its new postion may be the best one. Second, if it is done in this way there may be an instance where the subview has a custom color or gradient background. Hopefully this can be done in a way that in its normal position the background extends unseen off to the left enough so that when the view is slid to the right the custom background is still visible across the entire cell.

  • TVirtualStringTree - resetting non-visual nodes and memory consumption

    - by Remy Lebeau - TeamB
I have an app that loads records from a binary log file and displays them in a virtual TListView. There are potentially millions of records in a file, and the display can be filtered by the user, so I do not load all of the records in memory at one time, and the ListView item indexes are not a 1-to-1 relation with the file record offsets (List item 1 may be file record 100, for instance). I use the ListView's OnDataHint event to load records for just the items the ListView is actually interested in. As the user scrolls around, the range specified by OnDataHint changes, allowing me to free records that are not in the new range, and allocate new records as needed. This works fine, speed is tolerable, and the memory footprint is very low. I am currently evaluating TVirtualStringTree as a replacement for the TListView, mainly because I want to add the ability to expand/collapse records that span multiple lines (I can fudge it with the TListView by incrementing/decrementing the item count dynamically, but this is not as straight forward as using a real tree). For the most part, I have been able to port the TListView logic and have everything work as I need. I notice that TVirtualStringTree's virtual paradigm is vastly different, though. It does not have the same kind of OnDataHint functionality that TListView does (I can use the OnScroll event to fake it, which allows my memory buffer logic to continue working), and I can use the OnInitializeNode event to associate nodes with records that are allocated. However, once a tree node is initialized, it sees that it remains initialized for the lifetime of the tree. That is not good for me. As the user scrolls around and I remove records from memory, I need to reset those non-visual nodes without removing them from the tree completely, or losing their expand/collapse states. When the user scrolls them back into view, I can re-allocate the records and re-initialize the nodes. Basically, I want to make TVirtualStringTree act as much like TListView as possible, as far as its virtualization is concerned. I have seen that TVirtualStringTree has a ResetNode() method, but I encounter various errors whenever I try to use it. I must be using it wrong. I also thought of just storing a data pointer inside each node to my record buffers, and I allocate and free memory, update those pointers accordingly. The end effect does not work so well, either. Worse, my largest test log file has ~5 million records in it. If I initialize the TVirtualStringTree with that many nodes at one time (when the log display is unfiltered), the tree's internal overhead for its nodes takes up a whopping 260MB of memory (without any records being allocated yet). Whereas with the TListView, loading the same log file and all the memory logic behind it, I can get away with using just a few MBs. Any ideas?

  • VBA - Access 03 - Iterating through a list box, with an if statement to evaluate

    - by Justin
So I have a one list box with values like DeptA, DeptB, DeptC & DeptD. I have a method that causes these to automatically populate in this list box if they are applicable. So in other words, if they populate in this list box, I want the resulting logic to say they are "Yes" in a boolean field in the table. So to accomplish this I am trying to use this example of iteration to cycle through the list box first of all, and it works great: dim i as integer dim myval as string For i = o to me.lstResults.listcount - 1 myVal = lstResults.itemdata(i) Next i if i debug.print myval, i get the list of data items that i want from the list box. so now i am trying to evaluate that list so that I can have an UPDATE SQL statement to update the table as i need it to be done. so, i know this is a mistake, but this is what i tried to do (giving it as an example so that you can see what i am trying to get to here) dim sql as string dim i as integer dim myval as string dim db as database sql = "UPDATE tblMain SET " for i = 0 to me.lstResults.listcount - 1 myval = lstResults.itemdata(i) If MyVal = "DeptA" Then sql = sql & "DeptA = Yes" ElseIF myval = "DeptB" Then sql = sql & "DeptB = Yes" ElseIf MyVal = "DeptC" Then sql = sql & "DeptC = Yes" ElseIf MyVal = "DeptD" Then sql = sql & "DeptD = Yes" End If Next i debug.print (sql) sql = sql & ";" set db= currentdb db.execute(sql) msgbox "Good Luck!" So you can see why this is going to cause problems because the listbox that these values (DeptA, DeptB, etc) automatically populate in are dynamic....there is rarely one value in the listbox, and the list of values changes per OrderID (what the form I am using this on populates information for in the first place; unique instance). I am looking for something that will evaluate this list one at a time (i.e. iterate through the list of values, and look for "DeptA", and if it is found add yes to the SQL string, and if it not add no to the SQL string, then march on to the next iteration). Even though the listbox populates values dynamically, they are set values, meaning i know what could end up in it. Thanks for any help, Justin

  • Paypal IPN Handler for Cart

    - by kimmothy16
Hey everyone! I'm using a Paypal add to cart button for a simple ecommerce website. I had a Paypal IPN handler written in PHP that was successfully working for 'Buy it Now' buttons and purchasing one item at a time. I would run a database query each time to update the store's inventory to reflect the purchase. Now I'm upgrading this store to a 'cart' version so people could check out with multiple items at a time. Would anyone be able to tell me, in general, how my IPN handler would need to be altered to accommodate this? I'm unsure of what a response from Paypal looks like for a cart purchase as opposed to a buy it now purchase. Thanks, any help or examples of working IPN cart scripts would be very appreciated! My current code is below.. // Paypal POSTs HTML FORM variables to this page // we must post all the variables back to paypal exactly unchanged and add an extra parameter cmd with value _notify-validate // initialise a variable with the requried cmd parameter $req = 'cmd=_notify-validate'; // go through each of the POSTed vars and add them to the variable foreach ($_POST as $key => $value) { $value = urlencode(stripslashes($value)); $req .= "&$key=$value"; } // post back to PayPal system to validate $header .= "POST /cgi-bin/webscr HTTP/1.0\r\n"; $header .= "Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded\r\n"; $header .= "Content-Length: " . strlen($req) . It's not quite clear to me how I can design so I keep the reference to the DI-container in the composition root for a Silverlight + MVVM application. I have the following simple usage scenario: there's a main view (perhaps a list of items) and an action to open an edit view for one single item. So the main view has to create and show the edit view when the user takes the action (e.g. clicks some button). For this I have the following code: public interface IView { IViewModel ViewModel {get; set;} } Then, for each view that I need to be able to create I have an abstract factory, like so public interface ISomeViewFactory { IView CreateView(); } This factory is then declared a dependency of the "parent" view model, like so: public class SomeParentViewModel { public SomeParentViewModel(ISomeViewFactory viewFactory) { // store it } private void OnSomeUserAction() { IView view = viewFactory.CreateView(); dialogService.ShowDialog(view); } } So all is well until here, no DI-container in sight :). Now comes the implementation of ISomeViewFactory: public class SomeViewFactory : ISomeViewFactory { public IView CreateView() { IView view = new SomeView(); view.ViewModel = ???? } } The "????" part is my problem, because the view model for the view needs to be resolved from the DI-container so it gets its dependencies injected. What I don't know is how I can do this without having a dependency to the DI-container anywhere except the composition root. One possible solution would be to have either a dependency on the view model that gets injected into the factory, like so: public class SomeViewFactory : ISomeViewFactory { public SomeViewFactory(ISomeViewModel viewModel) { // store it } public IView CreateView() { IView view = new SomeView(); view.ViewModel = viewModel; } } While this works, it has the problem that since the whole object graph is wired up "statically" (i.e. the "parent" view model will get an instance of SomeViewFactory, which will get an instance of SomeViewModel, and these will live as long as the "parent" view model lives), the injected view model implementation is stateful and if the user opens the child view twice, the second time the view model will be the same instance and have the state from before. I guess I could work around this with an "Initialize" method or something similar, but it doesn't smell quite right. Another solution might be to wrap the DI-container and have the factories depend on the wrapper, but it'd still be a DI-container "in disguise" there :) Any thoughts on this are greatly appreciated. Also, please forgive any mistakes or rule-breaking, since this is my first post on stackoverflow :) Thanks! ps: my current solution is that the factories know about the DI-container, and it's only them and the composition root that have this dependency.

  • In Protobuf-net how can I pass an array of type object with objects of different types inside, knowi

    - by cloudraven
I am trying to migrate existing code that uses XmlSerializer to protobuf-net due to the increased performance it offers, however I am having problems with this specific case. I have an object[] that includes parameters that are going to be sent to a remote host (sort of a custom mini rpc facility). I know the set of types from which these parameters can be, but I cannot tell in advance in which order they are going to be sent. I have three constraints. The first is that I am running in Compact Framework, so I need something that works there. Second, as I mentioned performance is a big concern (on the serializing side) so I would rather avoid using a lot of reflection there if possible. And the most important is that I care about the order in which this parameters were sent. Using XmlSerializer it was easy just adding XmlInclude, but for fields there is nothing equivalent as far as I know in Protobuf-net. So, is there a way to do this? Here is a simplified example. [Serializable] [XmlInclude(typeof(MyType1)), XmlInclude(typeof(MyType2)), XmlInclude(typeof(MyType3)) public class Message() { public object[] parameters; public Message(object[] parms) { parameters = parms; } } Message m = new Message(new object[] {MyType1(), 33, "test", new MyType3(), new MyType3()}); MemoryStream ms = new MemoryStream(); XmlSerializer xml = new XmlSerializer(typeof(Message)); xml.Serialize(ms,xml); That will just work with XmlSerializer, but if I try to convert it to protobuf-net I will get a "No default encoding for Object" message. The best I came up with is to use generics and [ProtoInclude] as seen in this example. Since I can have different object types within the array this doesn't quite make it. I added a generic List for each potential type and a property with [ProtoIgnore] with type object[] to add them and get them. I have to use reflection when adding them (to know in which array to put each item) which is not desirable and I still can't preserve the ordering as I just extract all the items on each list one by one and put them into a new object[] array on the property get. I wonder if there is a way to accomplish this?

  • How to check if a checkbox in a checkbox array is checked with jquery

    - by eddy
Hello everyone. I have a html table with a column of text boxes (mileage), all of them are disabled when the page loads, and I need that when user clicks on a check box, the text box for that column should be enabled and become a required field, and then if the user unchecks the checkbox, the textbox on that row must be disabled and the required class removed. I already have the function to enable and disable the text boxes (column mileage) when the user clicks on the corresponding checkbox, but it is written in javascript. However, for some reason it only works in IE). Here is the html code <tbody> <c:forEach items="${list}" var="item"> <tr> <td align="center"> <input type="checkbox" name="selectItems" value="<c:out value="${item.numberPlate}"/>" onchange="enableTextField(this)" /> </td> <td align="left"><c:out value="${item.numberPlate}"/></td> <td align="left"><c:out value="${item.driver.fullName}"/></td> <td align="left"><input type="text" name="mileage_<c:out value="${item.numberPlate}"/>" value="" disabled="true"/></td> </tr> </c:forEach> </tbody> And the javascript code: function enableTextField(r) { var node = r.parentNode; while( node && node.tagName !== 'TR' ) { node = node.parentNode; } var i=node.rowIndex; if(document.form1.selectItems[i-1].checked) { document.getElementById('mileage_' + document.form1.selectItems[i-1].value).disabled=false; } else { document.getElementById('mileage_' + document.form1.selectItems[i-1].value).value=""; document.getElementById('mileage_' + document.form1.selectItems[i-1].value).disabled=true; } } Now, I know that in order to add or remove dynamically validation rules I have to use: addClass('required'); o removeClass('required') ,but I don't know how to detect whether a check box is selected or not, and based on that ,enable or disable the text box for that row. I really hope you can help me out with this.

  • Filtering a dropdown in Angular IE11 issue

    - by Brian S.
I have a requirement for a select html element that can be duplicated multiple times on a page. The options for these select elements all come from a master list. All of the select elements can only show all of the items in the master list that have not been selected in any of the other select elements unless they just were duplicated. So I wrote a custom filter to do this in Angular and it seems to work just fine provided you are not using IE11. In IE when you select a new item from a duplicated select element, it seems to select the option after the one you selected even though the model still has the correct one set. I realize this sounds convoluted, so I created a jFiddle example. Using IE 11 try these steps: Select Bender Click the duplicate link Select Fry Notice that the one that is selected is Leela but the model still has Fry (id:2) as the one selected Now if you do the same thing in Chrome everything works as expected. Can anyone tell me how I might get around this or what I might be doing wrong? Here is the relevant Angular code: myapp.controller('Ctrl', function ($scope) { $scope.selectedIds = [{}]; $scope.allIds = [{ name: 'Bender', value: 1}, {name: 'Fry', value: 2}, {name: 'Leela', value: 3 }]; $scope.dupDropDown = function(currentDD) { var newDD = angular.copy(currentDD); $scope.selectedIds.push(newDD); } }); angular.module('appFilters',[]).filter('ddlFilter', function () { return function (allIds, currentItem, selectedIds) { //console.log(currentItem); var listToReturn = allIds.filter(function (anIdFromMasterList) { if (currentItem.id == anIdFromMasterList.value) return true; var areThereAny = selectedIds.some(function (aSelectedId) { return aSelectedId.id == anIdFromMasterList.value; }); return !areThereAny; }); return listToReturn; } }); And here is the relevant HTML <div ng-repeat="aSelection in selectedIds "> <a href="#" ng-click="dupDropDown(aSelection)">Duplicate</a> <select ng-model="aSelection.id" ng-options="a.value as a.name for a in allIds | ddlFilter:aSelection:selectedIds"> <option value="">--Select--</option> </select> </div>

  • Page expired issue with back button and wicket SortableDataProvider and DataTable

    - by David
Hi, I've got an issue with SortableDataProvider and DataTable in wicket. I've defined my DataTable as such: IColumn<Column>[] columns = new IColumn[9]; //column values are mapped to the private attributes listed in ColumnImpl.java columns[0] = new PropertyColumn(new Model("#"), "columnPosition", "columnPosition"); columns[1] = new PropertyColumn(new Model("Description"), "description"); columns[2] = new PropertyColumn(new Model("Type"), "dataType", "dataType"); Adding it to the table: DataTable<Column> dataTable = new DataTable<Column>("columnsTable", columns, provider, maxRowsPerPage) { @Override protected Item<Column> newRowItem(String id, int index, IModel<Column> model) { return new OddEvenItem<Column>(id, index, model); } }; My data provider: public class ColumnSortableDataProvider extends SortableDataProvider<Column> { private static final long serialVersionUID = 1L; private List list = null; public ColumnSortableDataProvider(Table table, String sortProperty) { this.list = Arrays.asList(table.getColumns().toArray(new Column[0])); setSort(sortProperty, true); } public ColumnSortableDataProvider(List list, String sortProperty) { this.list = list; setSort(sortProperty, true); } @Override public Iterator iterator(int first, int count) { /* first - first row of data count - minimum number of elements to retrieve So this method returns an iterator capable of iterating over {first, first+count} items */ Iterator iterator = null; try { if(getSort() != null) { Collections.sort(list, new Comparator() { private static final long serialVersionUID = 1L; @Override public int compare(Column c1, Column c2) { int result=1; PropertyModel<Comparable> model1= new PropertyModel<Comparable>(c1, getSort().getProperty()); PropertyModel<Comparable> model2= new PropertyModel<Comparable>(c2, getSort().getProperty()); if(model1.getObject() == null && model2.getObject() == null) result = 0; else if(model1.getObject() == null) result = 1; else if(model2.getObject() == null) result = -1; else result = ((Comparable)model1.getObject()).compareTo(model2.getObject()); result = getSort().isAscending() ? result : -result; return result; } }); } if (list.size() (first+count)) iterator = list.subList(first, first+count).iterator(); else iterator = list.iterator(); } catch (Exception e) { e.printStackTrace(); } return iterator; } The problem is the following: - I click a column header to sort by that column. - I navigate to a different page - I click Back (or Forward if I do the opposite scenario) - Page has expired. It'd be nice to generate the page using PageParameters but I somehow need to intercept the sort event to do so. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a ton!! David

  • flickr phpflickr api

    - by sea_1987
Overview I am trying to get a photo feed on to my site using Flickr's api and the phpflickr library. I can successfully get the photoset on to my site, but it shows all the photos from every photoset, what I was hoping to achieve was to show the primary photo from each photoset, and then if the user clicked on the image it would show the full photoset in a lightbox/shadowbox. My Code <div id="images" class="tabnav"> <ul class="items"> <?php $count = 1; ?> <?php foreach ($photosets['photoset'] as $ph_set): ?> <?php $parentID = $ph_set['parent']; ?> <?php $photoset_id = $ph_set['id']; $photos = $f->photosets_getPhotos($photoset_id); foreach ($photos['photoset']['photo'] as $photo): ?> <li> <a rel="shadowbox['<?=$count;?>']" href="<?= $f->buildPhotoURL($photo, 'medium') ?>" title="<?= $photo['title'] ?>"> <img src="<?= $f->buildPhotoURL($photo, 'rectangle') ?>" alt="<?= $photo['title'] ?>" width="210" height="160" title="<?= $photo['title'] ?>" /> <h3><?=$ph_set['title']?></h3> <p><?=$ph_set['description'];?></p> </a> </li> <?php endforeach; ?> <?php $count++; ?> <?php endforeach; ?> </ul> </div> Another Attempt I have also tried calling the getPhotos function differently, instead of sending it without any parameters I sent it with parameters $photos = $f->photosets_getPhotos($photoset_id, NULL, NULL, 1, NULL); The above code stopped the showing all the photos from each photoset and started showing just the primary image, but it also stopped making the rest of the photos accesible to me. Is there something I can do to make this work? I am totally out iof ideas. Regards and thanks

  • CSS Background-Images Loading after HTML Images (Involves Javascript)

    - by Kevin C.
I threw together a quick little microsite that you can see at http://monterraauction.com. If you don't have a super-fast connection (and nothing's cached), the very last items to load are the background-images that are used for CSS image-text replacement (primarily, that h1#head at the top, with a 7kb background image). Nothing debilitating, but it looks slightly awkward. And I'm asking this question as a matter of curiosity more than anything else ;) Also, please note that this occurs in Firefox, but not Chrome. Now, underneath the h1#head I have a jquery.cycle.lite-powered slideshow in div#photo. In the HTML markup there are a total of 13, heavy image files that make up each of the slides. If I remove all but the first slide, then the problem goes away! So the CSS background-images are loading after...those HTML images are done? But here's what's confusing: I check it out in YSlow...the CSS background-images have a much lower response time than all of the slides in #photo. Right after all the JS files finish loading, in fact. So why aren't they showing up first? I tried $('#photo img:last-child').load(function() { alert('Locked and Loaded!')});, but the background-images pop up a while before the alert does, so I'm assuming it's not waiting until the last slide has loaded (admittedly I'm a bit of JS noob so maybe I'm just making a wrong assumption). I also tried commenting out all the jquery.cycle.lite stuff, so that I knew I didn't have any JS manipulating the DOM elements in #photo, but that wasn't the problem. I tried putting all the JS at the bottom of the document, right before </body>, but that didn't work. Lastly, I tried turning off javascript, and of course the css background-image loads way before the images in #photo, so it's definitely a JS thing (amirite?) I guess the obvious solution here is to mark the slides up as LINKS rather than IMGs, and have Javascript insert those 12 extra slideshow images after the DOM is ready--users without javascript shouldn't need to download the extra images anyways. But again, I'm curious: Why does removing the extra HTML images from within #photo solve the problem? And why are the CSS background-images showing up after the HTML images have loaded, even though YSlow says the css background-images loaded first? Seeing as how it happens in FF but not Chrome, is it simply a browser issue? I appreciate any insight you guys could give me!

  • Filtering a collection based on filtering rules

    - by Mike
I have an observable collection of Entities, with each entity having a status added, deleted, modified and cancelled. I have four buttons (toggle) when clicked should filter my collection as below: If I select the button Added, then my collection should contain entities with status added. If I select the button Deleted and Added, then my collection should contain entities with status Deleted AND entities with status Added, none of the rest. If I select the button Deleted,Added and Modified, then my collection should contain entities with status Deleted, Added AND Modified. . . so on. If I unselect one of the buttons, it should remove those entities from the collection with that status. For example if I unselect Deleted, but select Added and Modified, then my collection should contain items with Added and Modified status and NOT Deleted ones. For implementing this I have created a master collection and a filtered collection. The Filter collection gets filtered based on the selections and unselections. The following is my code: private bool _clickedAdded; public bool ClickedAdded { get { return _clickedAdded; } set { _clickedAdded = value; if(!_clickedAdded) FilterAny(typeof(Added)); } } private bool _clickedDeleted; public bool ClickedDeleted { get { return _clickedDeleted; } set { _clickedDeleted = value; if (!_clickedDeleted) FilterAny(typeof(Deleted)); } } private bool _clickedModified; public bool ClickedModified { get { return _clickedModified; } set { _clickedModified = value; if (!_clickedModified) FilterAny(typeof(Modified)); } } private void FilterAny(Type status) { Func<Entity, bool> predicate = entity => entity.Status.GetType() != status; var filteredItems = MasterEntites.Where(predicate); FilteredEntities = new ObservableCollection<Entity>(filteredItems); } This however breaks the above rules - for example if I have all selected, and then I remove Added followed by deleted then it still shows the list of Added, Modified and Cancelled. It should be just Modified and Cancelled in the filtered collection. Can you please help me in solving this issue? Also do I need 2 different list to solve this. Please note that I'm using .NET 3.5.

  • List of objects sent over WCF, but null list received?

    - by GONeale
Hey there, I have an object containing a list of custom objects which I am returning over a response in WCF, however on the receiving end, the list is null? But it contains 112 objects just prior to stepping out of the service on the server. This wasn't always the case, I have seen it return a list. I've just recently upgraded it to use NET TCP bindings, but I can't confirm when I started losing the data or if it was since the conversion from wsHttpBinding to netTcpBinding as it moved along with about four other services. I have looked on the WCF Service messages and trace file and also the WCF client's messages and trace file, no exceptions reported, and both message logs indicate they are sending the List<T> and for client, receiving the list - very frustrating! It's not a super light array, but not huge either, around 100KB. it has about 12 properties each and as stated 112 items are being sent. I have tried everything I can think of on client and server, note: Client: this.binding = new NetTcpBinding(SecurityMode.None) { MaxReceivedMessageSize = int.MaxValue, ReaderQuotas = { MaxStringContentLength = int.MaxValue, MaxArrayLength = int.MaxValue } }; ... Server app.config (sorry I have no idea if the quota settings have any bearing on net tcp? I only just added it similar to what I use for wsHttpBinding to test, but still list is null): <netTcpBinding> <binding name="SecurityByNetTcpTransportBinding" sendTimeout="00:03:00" maxReceivedMessageSize="2147483647"> <readerQuotas maxStringContentLength="2147483647" maxArrayLength="2147483647" /> <security mode="None" /> </binding> </netTcpBinding> and something else I tried in my net tcp binding behavior: <dataContractSerializer maxItemsInObjectGraph="2147483647" /> <serviceTimeouts transactionTimeout="05:05:00" /> <serviceThrottling maxConcurrentSessions="400" maxConcurrentInstances="400" maxConcurrentCalls="400"/> I hope somebody can help, I hate 5 steps forward 3 steps backward which always seems to be the case with WCF :P In the interim until I [hopefully] get a response I will now try reducing this array just to see if it's a sizing issue.. Ok, It seems I have bigger problems. Because the list was the only thing I was sending, I thought it was an array issue. I am even setting an int to "25" and it's coming back as 0 - Anybody? I know I must have done something obviously stupid.

  • WPF ListView's GridView item expansion

    - by NT_
    Is it possible for a WPF ListView that uses a GridView view (ListView.View property) to have one of its items 'expanded' i.e. create some control underneath the item. I cannot simply add another item as it will assume the GridView item template, i.e. appear with columns rather than being a single usable area. This is how my list view currently looks like, it just has two columns: <ListView x:Name="SomeName" Style="{DynamicResource NormalListView}" > <ListView.View> <GridView ColumnHeaderContainerStyle="{DynamicResource NormalListViewHeader}"> <GridViewColumn Width="140" x:Name="Gvc_Name"> <GridViewColumn.CellTemplate> <DataTemplate> <Border Style="{DynamicResource ListViewCellSeparatorBorder}" > <StackPanel Orientation="Vertical" HorizontalAlignment="Stretch" VerticalAlignment="Stretch"> <TextBlock Text="{Binding Path=Name}" FontWeight="Bold" HorizontalAlignment="Left" /> <TextBlock Text="{Binding Path=Type}" HorizontalAlignment="Left" /> </StackPanel> </Border> </DataTemplate> </GridViewColumn.CellTemplate> <Border Style="{DynamicResource ListViewHeaderBorderContainer}"> <TextBlock Style="{DynamicResource ListViewHeaderText}" Text="Name"/> </Border> </GridViewColumn> <GridViewColumn Width="120" x:Name="Gvc_Timestamp"> <GridViewColumn.CellTemplate> <DataTemplate> <Border Style="{DynamicResource ListViewCellSeparatorBorder}"> <StackPanel Orientation="Vertical" HorizontalAlignment="Stretch" VerticalAlignment="Stretch"> <TextBlock Text="{Binding Path=TimestampDate}" HorizontalAlignment="Center" /> <TextBlock Text="{Binding Path=TimestampTime}" FontWeight="Bold" HorizontalAlignment="Center" /> </StackPanel> </Border> </DataTemplate> </GridViewColumn.CellTemplate> <Border Style="{DynamicResource ListViewHeaderBorderContainer}"> <TextBlock Style="{DynamicResource ListViewHeaderText}" Text="Processed"/> </Border> </GridViewColumn> </GridView> </ListView.View> </ListView> Many thanks!

  • How do I prevent the concurrent execution of a javascript function?

    - by RyanV
I am making a ticker similar to the "From the AP" one at The Huffington Post, using jQuery. The ticker rotates through a ul, either by user command (clicking an arrow) or by an auto-scroll. Each list-item is display:none by default. It is revealed by the addition of a "showHeadline" class which is display:list-item. HTML for the UL Looks like this: <ul class="news" id="news"> <li class="tickerTitle showHeadline">Test Entry</li> <li class="tickerTitle">Test Entry2</li> <li class="tickerTitle">Test Entry3</li> </ul> When the user clicks the right arrow, or the auto-scroll setTimeout goes off, it runs a tickForward() function: function tickForward(){ var $active = $('#news li.showHeadline'); var $next = $active.next(); if($next.length==0) $next = $('#news li:first'); $active.stop(true, true); $active.fadeOut('slow', function() {$active.removeClass('showHeadline');}); setTimeout(function(){$next.fadeIn('slow', function(){$next.addClass('showHeadline');})}, 1000); if(isPaused == true){ } else{ startScroll() } }; This is heavily inspired by Jon Raasch's A Simple jQuery Slideshow. Basically, find what's visible, what should be visible next, make the visible thing fade and remove the class that marks it as visible, then fade in the next thing and add the class that makes it visible. Now, everything is hunky-dory if the auto-scroll is running, kicking off tickForward() once every three seconds. But if the user clicks the arrow button repeatedly, it creates two negative conditions: Rather than advance quickly through the list for just the number of clicks made, it continues scrolling at a faster-than-normal rate indefinitely. It can produce a situation where two (or more) list items are given the .showHeadline class, so there's overlap on the list. I can see these happening (especially #2) because the tickForward() function can run concurrently with itself, producing different sets of $active and $next. So I think my question is: What would be the best way to prevent concurrent execution of the tickForward() method? Some things I have tried or considered: Setting a Flag: When tickForward() runs, it sets an isRunning flag to true, and sets it back to false right before it ends. The logic for the event handler is set to only call tickForward() if isRunning is false. I tried a simple implementation of this, and isRunning never appeared to be changed. The jQuery queue(): I think it would be useful to queue up the tickForward() commands, so if you clicked it five times quickly, it would still run as commanded but wouldn't run concurrently. However, in my cursory reading on the subject, it appears that a queue has to be attached to the object its queue applies to, and since my tickForward() method affects multiple lis, I don't know where I'd attach it.

  • jquery ajax, array and json

    - by sea_1987
    I am trying to log some input values into an array via jquery and then use those to run a method server side and get the data returned as JSON. The HTML looks like this, <div class="segment"> <div class="label"> <label>Choose region: </label> </div> <div class="column w190"> <div class="segment"> <div class="input"> <input type="checkbox" class="radio" value="Y" name="area[Nationwide]" id="inp_Nationwide"> </div> <div class="label "> <label for="inp_Nationwide">Nationwide</label> </div> <div class="s">&nbsp;</div> </div> </div> <div class="column w190"> <div class="segment"> <div class="input"> <input type="checkbox" class="radio" value="Y" name="area[Lancashire]" id="inp_Lancashire"> </div> <div class="label "> <label for="inp_Lancashire">Lancashire</label> </div> <div class="s">&nbsp;</div> </div> </div> <div class="column w190"> <div class="segment"> <div class="input"> <input type="checkbox" class="radio" value="Y" name="area[West_Yorkshire]" id="inp_West_Yorkshire"> </div> <div class="label "> <label for="inp_West_Yorkshire">West Yorkshire</label> </div> <div class="s">&nbsp;</div> </div> <div class="s">&nbsp;</div> </div> I have this javascript the detect whether the items are checked are not if($('input.radio:checked')){ } What I dont know is how to get the values of the input into an array so I can then send the information through AJAX to my controller.
