    I am creating an interpreter for my esolang, and I need the user to enter some text which then will be interpreted as an INTERCAL program. I want the user to enter text, which may contain any character including newlines, until the user presses ^X (Ctrl-X), like this: Enter your code followed by ^X: Bla Blablabla Bla^X Thank you for entering your code (line 2, 3 and 4 were entered by the user) can anyone explain me how I can read input including newlines till the user enters ^X?     I have the following table - $sql = "CREATE TABLE received_queries ( sender_screen_name varchar(50), text varchar(150) )"; I use the following SQL statement to store values in the table $sql = "INSERT INTO received_queries VALUES ('$sender_screen_name', '$text')"; Now I am trying to store the following string as 'text'. One more #haiku: Cotton wool in mind; feeling like a sleep won't cure; I need some coffee. and I get the following error message Error: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 't cure; I need some coffee.')' at line 1 I think must be a pretty common problem. How do I solve it?

  • SQL - get latest records from table where field is unique

    I have a table of data as follows id status conversation_id message_id date_created 1 1 1 72 2012-01-01 00:00:00 2 2 1 87 2012-03-03 00:00:00 3 2 2 95 2012-05-05 00:00:00 I want to get all the rows from the table in date_created DESC order, but only one row per conversation_id. So in the case of the example data above, I would want to get the rows with id 2 and 3. Any advice is much appreciated.

    In the interpreter for my programming languages I have to correctly handle the parts in case the import function is called. I then need to check if such a file is in the /libs folder (located at the same place as my executeable!) and if it doesn't exist I have to check in the directory of the current script. How can I get the exact path to the directory where the executeable is located from argv? What is the best way to remove the file from the end of a path, e.g: C:/a/b/c/file.exe should become C:/a/b/c/

    Hi, I've a database who contain some datas in that form: icon(name, size, tag) (myicon.png, 16, 'twitter') (myicon.png, 32, 'twitter') (myicon.png, 128, 'twitter') (myicon.png, 256, 'twitter') (anothericon.png, 32, 'facebook') (anothericon.png, 128, 'facebook') (anothericon.png, 256, 'facebook') So as you see it, the name field is not uniq I can have multiple icons with the same name and they are separated with the size field. Now in PHP I have a query that get ONE icon set, for example : $dbQueryIcons = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM pl_icon WHERE tag LIKE '%".$SEARCH_QUERY."%' GROUP BY name ORDER BY id DESC LIMIT ".$firstEntry.", ".$CONFIG['icon_per_page']."") or die(mysql_error()); With this example if $tag contain 'twitter' it will show ONLY the first SQL data entry with the tag 'twitter', so it will be : (myicon.png, 16, 'twitter') This is what I want, but I would prefer the '128' size by default. Is this possible to tell SQL to send me only the 128 size when existing and if not another size ? In an another question someone give me a solution with the GROUP BY but in this case that don't run because we have a GROUP BY name. And if I delete the GROUP BY, it show me all size of the same icons. Thanks !

  • In Excel 2010, how can I show a count of occurrences on a specific date within multiple time ranges?

    Here's what I'm trying to do. I have three columns of data. ID, Date(MM/DD/YY), Time(00:00). I need to create a chart or table that shows the number of occurrences on, say, 12/10/2010 between 00:00 and 00:59, 1:00 and 1:59, etc, for each hour of the day. I can do countif and get results for the date, but I cannot figure out how to show a summary of the count of occurrences per hour for the 24 hour period. I have months of data and many times each day. Example of data set is below. Any help is greatly ID Date Time 221 12/10/2010 00:01 223 12/10/2010 00:45 227 12/10/2010 01:13 334 12/11/2010 14:45 I would like the results to read: Date Time Count 12/10/2010 00:00AM - 00:59AM 2 12/10/2010 01:00AM - 01:59AM 1 12/10/2010 02:00AM - 02:59AM 0 ......(continues for every hour of the day) 12/11/2010 00:00AM - 00:59AM 0 ......... 12/11/2010 14:00PM - 14:59PM 1 And so on. Sorry for the length but I wanted to be clear. EDIT Here is a sample spreadsheet. Very little data, but I couldn't figure out a better way without having a huge file. Tested in notepad for formatting and worked ok on import as csv. But, when i join both the tables i m not aware of the return type of the Linq query. But i want it two decimal places for example i want its value should be 16.34km rather then 16.343234324342342km I tried with DecimalFormat twoDForm=new DecimalFormat("##.00"); try{ Double StartVTwo=Double.valueOf(KEY_DISTANCE); Double resultDouble1 = Double.valueOf(twoDForm.format(StartVTwo)); Log.e("check", String.valueOf(resultDouble1)); }catch (NumberFormatException e){ Log.e("error"," This is error "); } But it shows exception and prints this message. Any help would be appreciated!!

Comment (idCustomer, idComment, ecc.. ecc..) obviosly the two table are joined togheter, for example SELECT * FROM Comment AS co JOIN Customer AS cu ON cu.idCustomer = co.idCustomer With this I select all comment from that table associated with is Customer, but now I wanna limit the number of Comment by 2 max Comment per Customer. The first thing I see is to use 'GROUP BY cu.idCustomer' but it limit only 1 Comment per Customer, but I wanna 2 Comment per Customer.. how now to proceed?

    I want to replace a url querystring parameter with a new value if it already exists or add it on if not. e.g. The current url could be: a. www.mysite.com/whatever.asp?page=5&version=1 OR b. www.mysite.com/whatever.asp?version=1 I need the resulting url to be www.mysite.com/whatever.asp?page=1&version=1 I suspect I can use string.replace with a regex to do this the most intelligent way but am hoping for a little help with it from someone more experienced with regexs :) Thanks!

  • How to use .htaccess to redirect to an url that includes a query parameter

    Hi guys, I've been struggling with a redirect where the final URL includes a query parameter that is an URL. It seems htaccess is escaping some characters. Here is my htaccess: Code: RewriteRule ^mypath http s://www.otherserver.com/cookie?param1=123&redirectto=http://otherserver2.com/&param2=1 [L,R=302] First, if I put Code: http s://www.otherserver.com/cookie?param1=123&redirectto=http://otherserver2.com/&param2=1 in my browser address bar, www.otherserver.com will do its thing and then redirect to otherserver2 (including the &param2=1 which is a parameter of that URL and not of the URL otherserver.com) That's the behaviour I need :-) Now when I try to use the htaccess redirect from my site: http://mysite/mypath; the behaviour is not the same then putting the same URL in the browser address bar; it now tries to redirect to http ://otherserver2.com/ (no param2=1 anymore). (ps: otherserver1 and otherserver2 are not under my control.) I've tried escaping the redirectto parameter in my htaccess, like below, but it didn't work either: Code: http s://www.otherserver.com/cookie?param1=123&redirectto=http%3a%2f%otherserver2.com%2f%3fparam2%3d1 Because then my browser tries to go to httpotherserver.com (all special characters are gone) In the end I would like to see http ://mysite/mypath to show the contents of Code: http s://www.otherserver.com/cookie?param1=123&redirectto=http://otherserver2.com/&param2=1 (preferred solution) or do a redirect to that URL. I hope my message is not to confusing, I hope someone can help me out; as I've already spent hours on this :-)
