• MAMP + Python MySQLDB - trouble installing

  I'm currently running the latest version of MAMP on my Snow Leopard OSX, and I'm trying to install MySQLDB. Downloaded: MySQL-python-1.2.3c1 I went into the setup_posix.py and adjusted the location of the mysql_config to the one in MAMP: mysql_config.path = "/Applications/MAMP/Library/bin/mysql_config" When trying to build I get the error below.   I would like to cache progressive-download videos using AVPlayer. How can I save an AVPlayer's item to disk?   Update After a bit of investigating. What seems to be the issue is that the SelectedValue/SelectedItem is occurring before the Item source is finished loading. If I sit in a break point and weight a few seconds it works as expected. Don't know how I'm going to get around this one. End Update I have an application using in WPF using MVVM with a ComboBox. Below is the ViewModel Example. The issue I'm having is when we leave our page and migrate back the ComboBox is not selecting the current Value that is selected. The object is returning the correct object via the get in the property though. I'm not sure if this is just an issue with the way the ComboBox and MVVM pattern works. The text box binding we are doing works correctly.

I found two solutions that came close: 1) A TreeListView here, but this requires me to implement a custom interface (ITreeModel) to my model. Also the approach in this solution is to start with a ListView and to implement a RowExpander manually. In my case, the TreeView is sufficiently close to what I need, so I am hoping that putting a header on it should be very simple. 2) A TreeListView here. This one indeed starts with a TreeView, but I can't figure out how to customize the header. I suspect that I have to customize the GridViewHeaderRowPresenter in the generic.xaml, but this element does not seem to have its own ControlTemplate.

  Hi, I'm developing a Silverlight 4 app and am using the 2010 Q1 release 1 RadGridView. I'm developing this app using the MVVM pattern and trying to keep my codebehind to a minimum. On my View I have a RadGridView and this binds to a property on my ViewModel. I am setting a property via the SelectedItem. I have a nested RadGridView and I want to set a property on my ViewModel to the SelectedItem but I cannot. I think the DataContext of my nested grid is the element in the parent's bound collection, rather than my ViewModel. I can easily use codebehind to set my ViewModel property from the SelectionChanged event on the nested grid, but I'd rather not do this. I have tried to use my viewModelName in the ElementName in my nested grid to specify that for SelectedItem, the ViewModel is the DataContext, but I cannot get this to work. Any ideas? • Setting values and display Text in Android Spinner

  Hi, I need help in setting up value and display text in spinner. as per now I am populating my spinner by array adapter e.g mySpinner.setAdapter(myAdapter); and as far as I know after doing this the display text and the value of spinner at same position is same. The other attribute that I can get from spinner is the position on the item. now in my case I want to make spinner like the drop down box, which we have in .NET. which holds a text and value. where as text is displayed and value is at back end. so if I change drop down box , I can either use its selected text or value. but its not happening in android spinner case. For Example: Text Value Cat 10 Mountain 5 Stone 9 Fish 14 River 13 Loin 17 so from above array I am only displaying non-living objects text, and what i want is that when user select them I get there value i.e. like when Mountain selected i get 5 I hope this example made my question a bit more clear... thankx

  I'm trying to add a custom filter to my RadGrid. I have a column, vendNum, which I want to allow users to filter on multiple vendNums with a comma-separated list. Basically, I want the same functionality as an "in" statement in SQL (where vendNum in (X,Y,Z)). • Adding a UINavigationController as a subview of UIView

  I'm trying to display a UILabel on top of a UINavigationController. The problem is that when I add the UILabel as a subview of UIWindow it will not automatically rotate since it is not a subview of UIViewController (UIViewController automatically handles updating subviews during rotations). This is the hierarchy I was using: UIWindow UILabel UINavigationController So I was thinking I could use the following hierarchy: UIWindow UIViewController UIView UILabel UINavigationController This way the label could be displayed on top of the UINavigationController's bar while also automatically being rotated since it is a subview of UIViewController. The problem is that when I try adding a UINavigationController as a subview of a view: [myViewController.view addSubview:myNavigationController.view]; it will appear 20 pixels downwards. Which I'm guessing is because it thinks it needs to make room for the status bar. But, since the UINavigationController is being placed inside a UIView which does not overlay on top of the status bar, it is incorrectly adding an additional 20 pixels. In other words, the top of the UINavigationBar is at the screen's 40 pixel mark instead of at 20 pixels. Is there any easy way to just shift the UINavigationController and all of its elements (e.g. navigation bar, tool bar, root view controller) up 20 pixels? Or to let it know that it shouldn't compensate for a status bar? If not, I guess I would need to use my first hierarchy mentioned above and figure out how to rotate the label so it is consistent with the navigation bar's rotation. Where can I find more information on how to do this? Note: by "displaying a label on top of the navigation bar", I mean it should overlay on top of the navigation bar... it can't simply be wrapped in a bar button item and placed as one of the items of the navigation bar.

• Android beginner: Touch events in android gridview

  I am using the following code to do things with gridview(slightly modified from http://developer.android.com/resources/tutorials/views/hello-gridview.html). I want to replace the onClicklistener and the onClick() method with their "touch" equivalents i.e. touchlistener and onTouch() so that when i touch an element in the gridview the image of the element changes and a double touch on the same element takes it back to the orginal state. How do I do this? I can't get my code to do this. The clicklistener works to some extent but the touch isn't.   I have the binary for several pdf files stored in a collection of Byte arrays. My goal is to concatenate them into a single .pdf file using abcpdf, then stream that newly created file to the Response object on a page of an ASP.Net website. Had been doing it like this: BEGIN LOOP ... 'Create a new Doc Dim doc As Doc = New Doc 'Read the binary of the current PDF doc.Read(bytes) 'Append to the master merged PDF doc _mergedPDFDoc.Append(Doc) END LOOP Which was working fine 95% of the time. Every now and then however, creating a new Doc object would throw a System.ExecutionEngineException and crash the CLR. It didn't seem to be related to a large number of pdfs (sometimes would happen w/ only 2), or with large sized pdfs. It seemed almost completely random. This is a known bug in abcpdf described (not very well) here Item 6.24. I came across a helpful SO post which suggested using a Using block for the abcpdf Doc object. So now I'm doing this: Using doc As New Doc 'Read the binary of the current PDF doc.Read(bytes) 'Append to the master merged PDF doc _mergedPDFDoc.Append(doc) End Using And I haven't seen the problem occur again yet, and have been pounding on a test version as best as I can to get it to. Has anyone had any similar experience with this error? Did this fix it?

• Refresh UltraGrid's GroupBy Sort on child bands when ListChanged?

  I am using Infragistics 2009 vol 1. My UltraGrid is bound to a BindingList of business objects "A" having themself a BindingList property of business objects "B". It results in having two bands: one named "BindingList`1", the other one "ListOfB" thanks to the currency manager. I would like to refresh the GroupBy sort of the grid whenever a change is performed on the child band through the child business object and INotifyPropertyChange.   SPFileVersionCollection and SPListItemVersionCollection versioning seems inconsistent to me. Inconsistency wouldn't be a problem to me, but sort order is. SPListItemVersionCollection I can understand versioning of ListItems as they are stored in descending order: SPContext.Current.ListItem.Versions.Count -> 5 SPContext.Current.ListItem.Versions[0].VersionId -> 1026 (2.2 latest version) SPContext.Current.ListItem.Versions[1].VersionId -> 1025 (2.1) SPContext.Current.ListItem.Versions[2].VersionId -> 1024 (2.0) ... [4].VersionId -> (oldest version) SPFileVersionCollection However I can't understand how version numbers are saved for a document library item: SPContext.Current.ListItem.File.Versions.Count -> 4 SPContext.Current.ListItem.File.Versions[0].ID -> 512 (1.0 oldest one) SPContext.Current.ListItem.File.Versions[1].ID -> 513 (1.1) SPContext.Current.ListItem.File.Versions[2].ID -> 1025 (2.1 latest version) SPContext.Current.ListItem.File.Versions[3].ID -> 1024 (2.0 (EDIT: IsCurrentVersion = True)) They are nor in ascending order, nor descending, but something mixed. Is there any reason for SharePoint team to decide to store SPFile versions like that? And do they expect that I write my own method to get latest version or is there a builtin one for that? A note: Let me point out that SPListItem.File is not null for document library items.

  I've got a combobox on a winforms app with this code: comboBox1.AutoCompleteMode = AutoCompleteMode.SuggestAppend; comboBox1.AutoCompleteSource = AutoCompleteSource.ListItems; DataTable t = new DataTable(); t.Columns.Add("ID", typeof(int)); t.Columns.Add("Display", typeof(string)); for (int i = 1; i < 2000; i++) { t.Rows.Add(i, i.ToString("N0")); } comboBox1.DataSource = t; comboBox1.ValueMember = "ID"; comboBox1.DisplayMember = "Display"; I then follow these steps when the window opens: Click the combobox drop down button -- this displays the list of items and selects the text in the combobox Type '5', '1' ... i.e. I'm looking to use autocomplete to search for 515, 516, etc. You'll see that the autocomplete window now appears ON TOP of the drop down list. However if I mouse over, it's the obscured drop down window behind the autocomplete window that's receiving the mouse events, including the click. So I think I'm clicking on an autocomplete item but actually clicking on something totally random that I can't see. Is this a bug in the ComboBox? I'm using Windows 7 if that matters. Am I configuring the ComboBox wrong somehow? Note also that using the KEYBOARD uses the autocomplete drop down. So up/down arrow keys are using the front window, but the mouse is using the back window.

  I've been working towards a solution for some time and could use a little help. I know I've seen an example of this before, but tonight I cannot find anything close to what I need. I have a service that provides me all my DropDownLists, either from Cache or from the DomainService. They are presented as IEnumerable, and are requested from the a repository with GetLookup(LookupId). I have created a custom attribute that I have decorated my MetaDataClass that looks something like this: [Lookup(Lookup.Products)] public Guid ProductId I have created a custom Data Form that is set to AutoGenerateFields and I am intercepting the autogenerate fields. I am checking for my CustomAttribute and that works. • Adding array of images to Firebase using AngularFire

  I'm trying to allow users to upload images and then store the images, base64 encoded, in firebase. I'm trying to make my firebase structured as follows: |--Feed |----Feed Item |------username |------epic |---------name,etc. |------images |---------image1, image 2, etc. However, I can't get the remote data in firebase to mirror the local data in the client. When I print the array of images to the console in the client, it shows that the uploaded images have been added to the array of images...but these images never make it to firebase. I've tried doing this multiple ways to no avail. I tried using implicit syncing, explicit syncing, and a mixture of both. I can;t for the life of me figure out why this isn;t working and I'm getting pretty frustrated. • Listview of items from a object selected in another listview

  Ok the title maybe a little confusing. I have a database with the table Companies wich has one-to-many relotionship with another table Divisions ( so each company can have many divisions ) and division will have many employees. I have a ListView of the companies. What I wan't is that when I choose a company from the ListView another ListView of divisions within that company appears below it. Then I pick a division and another listview of employees within that division appaers below that. You get the picture. Is there anyway to do this mostly inside the XAML code declaritively (sp?). I'm using linq so the Company entity objects have a property named Division wich if I understand linq correctly should include Division objects of the divisions connected to the company. So after getting all the companies and putting them as a itemsource to CompanyListView this is where I currently am. <ListView x:Name="CompanyListView" DisplayMemberPath="CompanyName" Grid.Row="0" Grid.Column="0" /> <ListView DataContext="{Binding ElementName=CompanyListView, Path=SelectedItem}" DisplayMemberPath="Division.DivisionName" Grid.Row="1" Grid.Column="0" /> I know I'm way off but I was hoping by putting something specific in the DataContext and DisplayMemberPath I could get this to work. If not then I have to capture the Id of the company I guess and capture a select event or something. Another issue but related is the in the seconde column besides the lisview I wan't to have a details/edit view for the selected item. So when only a company is selected details about that will appear then when a division under the company is picked It will go there instead, any ideas?
