The Icon will not be displayed correctly. Why?? I give ICO file. When I double-click a .wlog file, it opens up my application. However, it doesn't open the correct file. I read somewhere that JNLP was supposed to pass parameters to the main method indicating which file caused the app to be launched, but this is not happening (on OS X 10.6). I get an empty array to my application's main method. Probably unrelated, my splash screen doesn't work :( Any pointers on getting this working?

  Hi, I have a ASP.Net MVC 2 web site, which can be visited by http://localhost/Admin/ContentMgr/ in ASP.Net Development Server from Visual Studio 2010(RTM Retail). When I try to deploy the site to Windows 2008 R2 , IIS 7.5 , the url always return 404. First, my application pool is running on .Net 4.0, and Integration mode. • news feed using .Net Dataservices / OData / Atom ?

  Let's say I have an web CMS type application, and an EDM model with an entity called 'article', and I need to offer the ability for client applications, to a read/query the articles (and other resources stored in our database) a straightforward syndication feed of these articles to end users (along the lines of a simple RSS feed) It seems to me that for the first task, and .net 4's dataservice would be perfect for the job. For the second case, I'm wondering (a) whether atom the right format to choose - I think it is - and (b) whether it's possible to achieve such a feed using the same ado.net OData service. (as a result, when you check this feed in a feed reader, you will see no title). I searched msdn but haven't found a way to do that, but it should be possible. Stackoverflow itself uses an atom feed in that fashion, so it should be possible. Right? So I suppose my question is; Is there a way to make the ado.net dataservice Atom feed look like something suitable for your average news feed reader? - OR, am I using the wrong tool for the wrong purposes, and should I be looking elsewhere (.net syndication API's perhaps)?

• xforms: how to prevent xxforms:default value from over-writing user input

  I have a dropdown to display status, which can be Enabled(true) or Disabled(false). Here is my xml instance. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <page> <file-name></file-name> <status></status> </page> By default, status should be true. So I have set it in binding as follows. <xforms:bind nodeset="./status" xxforms:default="true()" /> When user chooses Disabled in the dropdown, the status should get saved as false. Here is the xml that gets saved when I save the form. <page> <file-name>StatusDisabled.xml</file-name> <status>false</false> </page> When I open the form in edit mode, this is the xml I get in the XML inspector widget. <page> <file-name>StatusDisabled.xml</file-name> <status>true></status> </page> Status gets set to true because of xxforms:default, even though the xml is saved with a false value for status. How can I fix this? • JSTL c:forEach causes @ViewScoped bean to invoke @PostConstruct on every request

  Hello, Again i see that the @PostConstruct is firing every time even though no binding attribute is used. I thought i have made some mistake in my application. But when i created this simplest possible in JSF, i still get this error. Am i not understanding the scopes of JSF? or are they not testing it properly? Further, if you remove c:forEach and replace it with ui:repeat, then it works fine. Waiting for replies to confirm whether it is bug or it is intentional to stop the programmers from using jstl?

Every element have elements and so on. Document and TextBox are extending Element. • Why does Keychain Services return the wrong keychain content?

  I've been trying to use persistent keychain references in an iPhone application. I found that if I created two different keychain items, I would get a different persistent reference each time (they look like 'genp.......1', 'genp.......2', …). However, attempts to look up the items by persistent reference always returned the content of the first item. Why should this be? I confirmed that my keychain-saving code was definitely creating new items in each case (rather than updating existing items), and was not getting any errors. And as I say, Keychain Services is giving a different persistent reference for each item. I've managed to solve my immediate problem by searching for keychain items by attribute rather than persistent references, but it would be easier to use persistent references so I'd appreciate solving this problem. The list items are floated right and sized due to an anchor tag inside them with a roll over. The last element is given a specific size to suck up any extra space. My question is: How can i get it to display at the same widths without specifying exact widths for each list item? Any help would be appreciated.   I am making a simple tcp/ip chat program for practicing threads and tcp/ip. I was using asynchronous methods but had a problem with concurrency so I went to threads and blocking methods (not asynchronous). I have two private variables defined in the class, not static: string amessage = string.Empty; int MessageLength; and a Thread private Thread BeginRead; Ok so I call a function called Listen ONCE when the client starts: public virtual void Listen(int byteLength) { var state = new StateObject {Buffer = new byte[byteLength]}; BeginRead = new Thread(ReadThread); BeginRead.Start(state); } and finally the function to receive commands and process them, I'm going to shorten it because it is really long: private void ReadThread(object objectState) { var state = (StateObject)objectState; int byteLength = state.Buffer.Length; while (true) { var buffer = new byte[byteLength]; int len = MySocket.Receive(buffer); if (len <= 0) return; string content = Encoding.ASCII.GetString(buffer, 0, len); amessage += cleanMessage.Substring(0, MessageLength); if (OnRead != null) { var e = new CommandEventArgs(amessage); OnRead(this, e); } } } Now, as I understand it only one thread at a time will enter BeginRead, I call Receive, it blocks until I get data, and then I process it. The problem: the variable amessage will change it's value between statements that do not touch or alter the variable at all, for example at the bottom of the function at: if (OnRead != null) "amessage" will be equal to 'asdf' and at if (OnRead != null) "amessage" will be equal to qwert. As I understand it this is indicative of another thread changing the value/running asynchronously. I only spawn one thread to do the receiving and the Receive function is blocking, how could there be two threads in this function and if there is only one thread how does amessage's value change between statements that don't affect it's value. As a side note sorry for spamming the site with these questions but I'm just getting a hang of this threading story and it's making me want to sip cyanide. Thanks in advance. • HTML overflow:hidden doesn't format text correctly

  I'm working on a website for an American Football team. They have these newsitems on their front page which they can manage through a CMS system. I have a problem with alligning the text inside those news items. Two of the news items look like this: As you can see, the right newsitem text are displayed nicely. But the left cuts it off really bad. You can only see the top half of the text at the last sentence. I use overflow: hidden; to make sure the text doesn't make the div or newsitem bigger. Does anyone have any idea how to solve this through HTML and CSS or should I cut it off serverside with PHP?   Hello, I'm trying to implement a basic MIME parser for the multipart/related in C++/Qt. So far I've been writing some basic parser code for headers, and I'm reading the RFCs to get an idea how to do everything as close to the specification as possible. Unfortunately there is a part in the RFC that confuses me a bit: From RFC882 Section 3.1.1: Each header field can be viewed as a single, logical line of ASCII characters, comprising a field-name and a field-body. For convenience, the field-body portion of this conceptual entity can be split into a multiple-line representation; this is called "folding". The general rule is that wherever there may be linear-white-space (NOT simply LWSP-chars), a CRLF immediately followed by AT LEAST one LWSP-char may instead be inserted. Thus, the single line Alright, so I simply parse a header field and if a CRLF follows with linear whitespace, I simply concat those in a useful manner to result in a single header line. Let's proceed... From RFC2045 Section 5.1: In the Augmented BNF notation of RFC 822, a Content-Type header field value is defined as follows: content := "Content-Type" ":" type "/" subtype *(";" parameter) ; Matching of media type and subtype ; is ALWAYS case-insensitive. [...] parameter := attribute "=" value attribute := token ; Matching of attributes ; is ALWAYS case-insensitive. value := token / quoted-string token := 1*<any (US-ASCII) CHAR except SPACE, CTLs, or tspecials> Okay. So it seems if you want to specify a Content-Type header with parameters, simple do it like this: Content-Type: multipart/related; foo=bar; something=else ... and a folded version of the same header would look like this: Content-Type: multipart/related; foo=bar; something=else Correct? Good. Maybe I just didn't read the RFCs correctly, but if my parser works strictly like the specification defines, the type and start-info parameters would result in a single string or worse, a parser error. • Many DIVs inside parent DIV, CSS height issue

  Hi everyone, I am putting together a dynamic photo gallery and getting stuck trying to place thumbnails. Basically I am trying to place each thumbnail and caption in its own DIV, floated to the left. The thumbnails are working just as I want them to but for some reason the parent DIV refuses to cover the height of the thumbnail area.   Hi, I am trying to make a menu that works like the one on this flash site: http://elevensix.de/ When I click "portfolio", only then to the subnavigation links reveal themselves. Right now I have only managed to get a typical vertical "reveal subnavigation on hover menu" working. What is required is that once the appropriate menu item it cicked, its submenu shows. This submenu remains revealed as the submenu items are hovered over then selected. When the submenu item is selected, the content shows, and both the menu and submenu remain visible (the selected menu and submenu item are given a distinct colour to show the navigation path). Whew.   I have a little popup menu that anchors on a button in the action bar. This works well on 3.0/3.1 Xoom and Galaxy tabs, and a 4.1 Nexus 7. However, on a 7" Fire HD (this one), I get an error about a leaked intent receiver when exiting the application. The error occurs only if the menu was not opened during that run. There is no mention of OrientationChangeListener in the one copy of the source I've found; I suspect Amazon has a different implementation. Questions: Has anyone encountered this? Does anyone know of a workaround or a fix? (Where) can I find Amazon's source code? Finally, (shudder) how important is it that I don't leak a receiver on application exit? • ie9/CSS: Flyout menu not working in ie9, but looks great in Firefox/Chrome

It looks like ie9 is completing ignoring the stylesheet, but in error checking and clicking ie9 direct mode, it shows up however VERY ugly with huge nasty white borders around the links! How can I access the dessert? I don't even know the Dessert type (it is templated), let alone the complete type of the object that I'm getting from the storage. This is just a toy example, but I think my code reduces to this. I'd just like to pass those Dish classes around, and different parts of the code will access different parts of it (in the example: its appetizer, main dish, or dessert).
