  • Proper way of naming your Java Google App Engine Project

    I am starting out with Google's App Engine in Java. I have seen the tutorial video but I do not understand the naming of the project package. It is going to be a guestbook, that's why the name is guestbook, I understand that part. But after that I see package name. 1)Is that something you import into the project, or is is something you create. I have seen this a lot in projects, something like com.xxx.xxx. 2)How do you name this type of thing or is this an import. I have looked at another tutorial there they take the naming to a whole new level. The name of both the project and the package is de.vogella.gae.java.todo. 3)What does this mean in java terms. 4)Maybe one of you can help me with this specific project I want to start. I want to create a Google App project that for now only serves static files. I will leave the project empty and just put all my static files in the war directory of the project. I want the domain name to be mydomainstatic

    Hi I am making a modification to a web application using XPath, and when executed I get an error message - Invalid token! This is basic what I am doing public xmlNode GetSelection (SelectParams params, xmldocument docment) { xpathstring = string.format("Name =\'{0}' Displaytag = \'{1}' Manadatory=\'{2}', params.Name, params.Displaytag, params.Manadatory); return document.selectsinglenode(xpathstring); } As you can see, I am making a string and setting values on the nodes I am trying to find against my xml document, and thus returning xml data that matches my parameters. What is happening is that I am getting an xpathexeception error in Visual Studio and it says invalid token. I do know that in the xml document that the parameters I am looking in the tags have double quotes, for example, Name="ABC". So, I thought the problem could be solved using an "\". Can anyone help? Update from comments In the Xml Document, the tag has attributes where they are set as Name="ABC" Displaytag="ATag" Manadatory="true".

All works good when i have to save a new Person record, in fact hibernate creates a PERSON_TABLE as i want, but if i try to retrieve a Person record i have an exception. HQL is simply "from Person" The excpetion is (Entities is the package containing all classes above-mentioned): org.hibernate.AnnotationException: @OneToOne or @ManyToOne on Entities.Person.address.municipality references an unknown entity: Entities.Municipality Is the @OneToOne annotation the problem?     I've two tables, shows and objects. I want to print out the latest objects, and the shownames for them. Right now I'm doing it this way: SELECT MAX(objects.id) as max_id, shows.name, shows.id FROM shows, objects WHERE shows.id = objects.showId GROUP BY shows.name however, if I also want to fetch the episode of the object I can't put it like SELECT object.episode [...], because then wont automatically select the object which is MAX(objects.id), so my question is how to do that? If you haven't already figured out my tables they're like this: Shows id name and also: Objects id name episode season showId Using MySQL. Thanks!

  • Finding changes in MongoDB database

    I'm designing a MongoDB database that works with a script that periodically polls a resource and gets back a response which is stored in the database. Right now my database has one collection with four fields , id, name, timestamp and data. I need to be able to find out which names had changes in the data field between script runs, and which did not. In pseudocode, if(data[name][timestamp]==data[name][timestamp+1]) //data has not changed store data in collection 1 else //data has changed between script runs for this name store data in collection 2 Is there a query that can do this without iterating and running javascript over each item in the collection? There are millions of documents, so this would be pretty slow. Should I create a new collection named timestamp for every time the script runs? Would that make it faster/more organized? Is there a better schema that could be used? The script runs once a day so I won't run into a namespace limitation any time soon.

    Hi: I am using myXmlDataDoc.DataSet.ReadXml(xml_file_name, XmlReadMode.InferSchema); to populate the tables within the dataset created by reading in a xml schema using: myStreamReader = new StreamReader(xsd_file_name); myXmlDataDoc.DataSet.ReadXmlSchema(myStreamReader); The problems I am facing is when it comes to read the xml tag: The readXml function puts the element in a different table and everything in the tables are 0s.   • How to reference an embedded JCA resource adapater

    For our current J2EE project based on JBoss, we need to interface with a remote system using message driven beans and a JCA resource adapter provided as a RAR file by a third party. I would like to package and deploy the entire project as an EAR file to our JBoss server. Most notably, the RAR file should be embedded within the EAR file and not be deployed globally. All of this is working fine so far, but I'm not particularly happy with the way the RAR file is referenced. The jboss.xml packaged with the MDB for example, currently looks like this: <jboss> <enterprise-beans> <message-driven> <ejb-name>testBean1</ejb-name> <resource-adapter-name>test1.ear#thirdparty-1.0.rar</resource-adapter-name> </message-driven> </enterprise-beans> </jboss> While this is generally working fine, it will break when the EAR file is renamed to "test2.ear". Is there a way to reference the embedded RAR file without hard-coding the containing archive's name?

How could I order them? I probably have to write a many-to-many HQL query with the order-by clause? I though of passing the orderBy field name string to the query, or is there a better solution? Tables are: products, product_catalog, product_product_catalog (associative table) P.S. Using Play! Framework JPASupport for my entities.

  • DNS resolve without depending on router for asterisk system

    Hello, Basically I have a Debian box running asterisk assigned an IP via DHCP with host-name XXX. My windows browser can resolve the host-name but if I use host-name in X-Lite or my SPA922 phone it fails to resolve. Is there any way of getting this to work without depending on the router or assigning a static IP (request is to make it portable). I was thinking zero-conf but am unsure (box has limited HDD too). Any help is most appreciated.
