• Ctrl+Click / Command+Click not working with analytics

  Hi All, I created my own analytics for my site to track outbound click events using jquery. Now the thing with preventDefault() is that it does not allow for the Ctrl+Click or COmmand+click operation in the browser to open the link in new tab/window. So my solution was to detect e.metaKey || e.ctrlKey and use window.open. This does not work very great with safari unless the user changes browser behavior. I am wondering if anyone here knows what other analytics users do - like how does google etc deal with this problem in tracking outbound links? • Swing Panel Question

  Ok, so I've been pulling my hair out over this all day. I cannot get my panels to resize. I add a panel to anything.. a frame, a content pane, and It wont .. "force" setBounds for some strange reason. Container pane = window.getContentPane(); JPanel calendarPanel = new JPanel(); pane.add(calendarPanel); calendarPanel.setBounds(0,0, 320, 335); note that window is of JFrame. Any suggestions to sizing a panel would be appreciated!

  hey guys, i am having problems implementing my php/mysql code into a jgrowl if you are familiar with jgrowl you will know it delivers notifications like Growl does for OS X i am trying to get it read all the records from my table but at the moment it is only displaying one record as a notification and it loops through it 4 times another problem is that if i have 5 rows in the table then jgrowl will only display 4 notifications are going to be viewed how do i get it to view all the records in the table as notifications and how do i display the total number of records (5) as notifications and account for the missing one at the moment thanking you guys in advance... • Binding list of objects to WPF ListView

  Hi all, I have a list of objects which i want to bind to a ListView control in my WPF application. The Objects have a DataTemplate already, so no need to define that. The list of objects is a property in the codebehind file in the format list<object> When i add one object programatically, it appears fine. But when i try to bind the ItemSource of the ListBox to the list of objects, nothing shows up. I am using the following binding: ItemsSource="{Binding RelativeSource={RelativeSource FindAncestor, AncestorType={x:Type Window}}, Path=Portfolios}" where the name of the property i am trying to bind to is Portfolios and exists on the parent window

  I am just curious with regards to the correct way to create a view controller programatically. When I compile this code with the static analyser I get a leak (as you would expect) from the alloc.   Hello everyone, I'm trying to perform a (CTRL-C) copy on a window. I've already managed to do this using SendInput but unfortunately that could fail if the window doesn't have focus. I'm trying to perform the same (CTRL-C) operation using SendMessage in C#. So far I haven't been successful in getting the WPARAM and LPARAM combination for this to work. I have also tried using SendMessage with the WM_COPY message but that didn't work for my needs. Please if anyone has done this before successfully using SendMessage I would greatly appreciate your help.

• Buttons in the corners?

  I'd like to have 4 buttons one in each corner of a window. But I want the stuff in the grid/window to be "behind" the buttons, as if they float on top. • Generate canonical / real URL based on base.href or location

  Is there a method/function to get the canonical / transformed URL, respecting any base.href setting of the page? I can get the base URL via (in jQuery) using $("base").attr("href") and I could use string methods to parse the URL meant to being made relative to this, but $("base").attr("href") has no host, path etc attributes (like window.location has) manually putting this together is rather tedious E.g., given a base.href of "http://example.com/foo/" and a relative URL "/bar.js", the result should be: "http://example.com/bar.js" If base.href is not present, the URL should be made relative to window.location. This should handle non-existing base.href (using location as base in this case). Is there a standard method available for this already? (I'm looking for this, since jQuery.getScript fails when using a relative URL like "/foo.js" and BASE tag is being used (FF3.6 makes an OPTIONS request, and nginx cannot handle this).   How can I, from within a java program on windows, prevent a debugger window being displayed if a program I invoke crashes, and how can I detect the fact that it has crashed? Background I have a problem with a java application running on Windows which is launching an unreliable third party program by way of ProcessBuilder.start(). Specifically, if the external program crashes, the 'Visual Studio Just-In-time Debugger' window pops up asking if the user wants to debug the program. From the java application side, I'm happy to deal with the fact that under some circumstances, the third party program will crash, but I'd like to be able to detect and silently handle that situation from within the Java code without requiring any user interaction.

  Hi, I'm trying to work out how to get a div (#tips) to appear when the user scrolls into the 2nd quarter of its containing div's height (#wrap), and then have it disappear when the user scrolls into the last quarter.   Hello, I have a Silverlight application in which I implemented MVVM pattern. In my application there is a child window on which I have ComboBox. I bound ItemsSource and SelectedItem of my combobox to a property (typeof ObservableCollection) and property of MyType appropriately. MyType is a "MODEL" derived from INotifyPropertyChanged. When my window is loaded I set values to this properties. But my combobox doesn't display selected item. I found that when I set property which is bound to selected item (in ViewModel), the PropertyChanged event is null. Can anyone help me. Thanks.

• New to AVL tree implementation.

  I am writing a sliding window compression algorithm (LZ77) that searches for phrases in a "moving" dictionary. So far I have written a BST where each node is stored in an array and it's index in the array is also the value of the starting position in the window itself. I am now looking at transforming the BST to an AVL tree. I am a little confused at the sample implementations I have seen. Some only appear to store the balance factors whereas others store the height of each tree. Are there any performance advantage/disadvantages of storing the height and/or balance factor for each node? Apologies if this is a very simple question, but I'm still not visualizing how I want to restructure my BST to implement height balancing. Thanks.

  I'm trying to create my first custom Google Gadget to be used privately in my company's Google Sites intranet. Ideally I'd like to just show a thumbnail that the user can click that will open a modal window with the full video. This requires my including a couple of small JS libraries in my widget. For my widget I created this XML: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <Module> <ModulePrefs title="Video Demos" /> <Content view="url" href="http://www.website.com/_gadgets/video.php"> </Content> </Module> The "video.php" page has simple HTML on it and includes two JS files for the modal window using but doesn't work. Are you not able to include external scripts like this? If not, what are my options here?
