I currently have to enumerate every field, and use that in an insert select, and I would rather not explicitly list all of the fields, as they may change over time.

    When I change the size of a font in CSS, how do I make it so no matter what size the font is (from 12px to 200px), that the "Cap Height" (pic) of the text will always 'visually' have 10px padding on top? Otherwise what I'm doing is every time I change the font size, I have to go back and reposition the top/margin-top etc.

  • Why would restarting MySQL make my site faster?

    hey all, my site started dragging lately, the queries taking exceptionally longer than I would expect with properly tuned indexes. I just restarted the mysql server after 31 days uptime and every query is now substantially faster and the whole site renders 3-4 times faster. Would there be anything that jumps out at you as to why this may have been? Improper settings on my.cnf perhaps? Any ideas as to what I can start looking at to try and pinpoint why? thanks

    I am trying to figure out how to create a timer for my C8051F020 MCU. The following code uses the value passed to init_Timer2() with the following formula: 65535-(0.1 / (12/2000000)=48868. I set up the timer to count every time it executes and for every 10 counts, count one second. This is based on the above formula. 48868 when passed to init_Timer2 will produce a 0.1 second delay. It would take ten of them per second. However, when I test the timer it is a little fast. At ten seconds the timer reports 11 seconds, at 20 seconds the timer reports 22 seconds. I would like to get as close to a perfect second as I can.     I'm using the net.sf.json.JSONObject to create some data to be sent to a front end application, and I don't like the ways ts adding quotation marks to every field name. For example: myString = new JSONObject().put("JSON", "Hello, World!").toString(); produces the string {"JSON": "Hello, World"}. What I want it to return is {JSON: "Hello, World"} - without quotes around "JSON". What do I have to do to make that happen?
