  • Google Maps : How to open an InfoWindow by hovering a link?

    Hi there, i have a very simple question about Google Maps API. In this case, i have on my page a map on the left, with about 40 points, and the list of these 40 points on the right. So you know, when you click on a point of the map, the "info window" is displayed so you can see some informations about it. I can't find how can i do to simply open the "info window" on the map, by making a "hover" on the corresponding link. (and by the way, close all the others info windows) Did someone have an idea about this? Thanks a lot, have a nice day! :)

    I have two fields which calculate a total, but I have a radio button pair that determines a variable within the equation.   • JavaScript: List global variables in IE

    I'm trying to get the instance name of my class. The way I do this is I loop through all global objects and compare it with the this pointer. It works in Chrome and FF, but in IE, it doesn't. The problem seems to be the global variables don't seem to be in window. How can I loop through the global variables in IE ?   • Why does fb:fan control disappear after login with requireSession on external page?

    Hi, Reqs: I want to make an external page with a 'Become a Fan'-button. I want users to login to facebook once they open the page (this is because of other features in the site) So I call FB.Connect.requireSession once the page loads, and put a <fb:fan></fb:fan> control on the page. Then when I open the page I see the 'Connect with Facebook to Continue' pop-up and a small 'Become a fan' button. This seems right. When I log in to Facebook using the pop-up the 'Become a fan button' disappears!! Can anyone explain this weird behaviour or does someone know a way to reach my requirements in a different way. Below you can see my code.   • .Net in HTML tp return true if reader object not null, otherwise return false

    I'm using a DataList to show some data from the database and populating the fields on the html side. I now have a requirement to change the visibility of a panel based on whether or not a db field has data or not. I need to be able to show the panel if the relevant data field has content, and hide it if it doesn't. Eg: <asp:Panel ID="pnlNew" runat="server" Style="margin:0; padding:0; width:42px; height:18px; bottom:5px; right:10px; float:right; position:relative; background:url(../_imgVideoBadge.png) no-repeat;" Visible='<%# Eval("cheese") != null %>' ToolTip="available"></asp:Panel> Obviously this doesn't work in terms of the visible property. But hopefully it gives an idea of what I'm trying to achieve. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've seen examples previously of doing something along the lines of: a ?? b:c How could this be applied to the above requirement?? Thanks in advance.

  • Escaping and unescaping a string with single and double quotes in Javascript

    I have a search box that a user can search for any string including single AND double quotes, once they have searched, the backend is passing the keyword back to me so I can put it back in the box. I don't know what the string is so I can't escape quotes myself, below is an example: var keyword = "hello"; $("#selectionkeywords").val(); The issue I am having is that if the user enters "hello" the keyword becomes ""hello"" and I get this error: missing ) after argument list [Break On This Error] jQuery("#selectionkeywords").val(""hello""); The user could also enter single quotes so that rules it out as well. I tried using escape unescape but I still have the same issue e.g. escape(""hello"") I could get the value in an unescaped format e.g. "hello" but I don't know what to do with it, escape doesn't work on it I end up with this %26%23034%3Bhello%26%23034%3B So I'm pretty much stuck at the moment as I can't do anything to the string, any ideas?

It makes elements like a 1 based array.

  • How to protect and hidden form HTML/PHP with JS callback to AS3

    Hi guys, I'm developing a Flash website (as3) where I need to be able to upload directly to YouTube by using the DATA API. However in order to do so, I had to use a proper HTML form on top of my flash object. Why? Because of the Browser Based Upload restictions. I first hide the form using JQuery and with a little CSS the form is display just where I want it. Within flash I use ExternalInterface.call() to show/hide the form when I need it! ExternalInterface.call("YTUploader.showIt"); The upload process is working great my only problem is that the form can be displayed easily... You just need a tool like firebug and you can use the form wherever you want on my flash app. So I was wandering which will be the best way to 'protect' this form or the best way to limit its access. Any advices will be appreciated. Thanks for your time. Jk.

    I have this piece of code here below: $fq.=" + (fritidsboende_uth_from:[$fritids_uth_from TO *] AND fritidsboende_uth_to:[* TO $fritids_uth_to]) OR (fritidsboende_uth_from:'1972-01-01T01:01:00Z' AND fritidsboende_uth_to:'2019-01-01T01:01:00Z')"; I have noticed my app doesn't get anything behind the colon, in this part of the code: OR (fritidsboende_uth_from:'1972-01-01T01:01:00Z' // Notice the colon in the date string I get this error msg: Unrecognized date string: '1972-01-01T01'. Nothing from behind the colon is there though. How should I 'escape' it so that the colon is properly recognized? Its PHP... Thanks

What I want is the div that is floated left to be "maximally wide" so that it is as wide as it possibly can be without causing the red div ("I go at the right") to spill over onto the next line.   • js function causing all other functions not to work inside js file

    In safari 4 and all explorer browsers, whenever I try to call a function inside a javascript file which contains this function below, that first function isn't called. So calling function1 will not work if function2 is inside the same .js file, explanation? Here is the code which makes the problem. Whenever I remove this function, everything works fine and all functions work fine.   • Some little extra space is being added when a drop-down is on :focus

    My problem is that when I place :focus style for our dropdown lists like so: input, select { margin: 0; padding: 0; } select:focus { background: #FFC; } ...the dropdown with the focused selection suddenly has an extra spacing on all sides (1-2px spacing). See images below: It may seem unnoticable on the photos above but when you do a selection, the increase in padding/spacing cannot be missed. I already tried removing margin: 0, padding: 0, thinking that the :focus state might be reverting to the padded version but still the same. Has anybody encountered this problem? Only happens in Firefox.

I have a database column called pymnt_meth_pref, which contains a comma separated string of payment methods chosen from a multiselect form. <td>Payment Methods Used:<br /> <input type="checkbox" name="pyment_meth_pref[]" value="Cash">I can pay with cash.<br /> <input type="checkbox" name="pyment_meth_pref[]" value="Check">I can pay by check.<br /> <input type="checkbox" name="pyment_meth_pref[]" value="Credit Card">I can pay by credit card.<br /> <input type="checkbox" name="pyment_meth_pref[]" value="Paypal">I can pay with Paypal.<br /> </td> This array is posted to a variable and turned into a comma separated string if (isset($_POST['pyment_meth_pref'])) $pymntmethpref = implode(", ", $_POST['pyment_meth_pref']); if (isset($_POST['pyment_meth_acc'])) $pymntmethacc = implode(", ", $_POST['pyment_meth_acc']); This is then inserted into the database as a comma separated string. What I would like to do, is take this string and apply the values to the original form when the user goes back to the form as 'pre-selected' checkboxes, indicated that the user has already selected those values previously, and keeping those values in the database if they choose to edit any other information in the form. I'm assuming this would need to be done with javascript but if there is a way to do it with PHP I'd rather do it that way.

Is there an easy way to do this?     Is there a way I can maximize a currently minimized window from Javascript? Here's my situation: I have a series of links that all target the same external window (e.g. "MyNewWindow"). When I click a link, a new window pops up. If I click another link, the page pops up in the same window as expected. If I minimize the "MyNewWindow" popup, I'd like to be able to click another link and have that window maximize. My approach was to put something on the onLoad part of the body so that when the page is refreshed it will automatically "maximize" if it is minimized. Note: Using window.MoveTo() and window.resizeTo() doesnt seem to do the trick (the window stays minimized). Thanks!
