How to intercept raw soap request/response (data) from WCF client

This question seems to be pretty close to what I am looking for - I was able to setup tracing and I am looking at the log entries for my calls to the service. However I need to see the raw soap request with the data I am sending to the service and I see no way of doing that from the SvcTraceViewer (only log entries are shown but no data sent to the service) - am I just missing configuration? TemplateBinding with Converter - what is wrong?

I'm creating a game desk. I wanted to specify field size (one field is a square) as a attached property and with this data set value of ViewPort which would draw 2x2 matrix (and tile mode would do the rest of game desk). I'm quite at loss what is wrong because the binding doesn't work. I have written a WCF router which the client application calls it and the router sends the message to the Java Web Service and returns the data back to the client. I created a custom (WPF) DataGridBoundColumn and get unexpected behaviour, what am I missing?

Hi, I am using a DataGrid (from Microsoft.Windows.Controls.DataGrid) to display items on and on this DataGrid I use a custom Column which extends DataGridBoundColumn. I have bound an ObservableCollection to the ItemSource of the DataGrid. Conversation is one of my own custom datatypes which a (among other things) has a boolean called active. I bound this boolean to the DataGrid as follows: DataGridActiveImageColumn test = new DataGridActiveImageColumn(); test.Header = "Active"; Binding binding1 = new Binding("Active"); test.Binding = binding1; ConversationsDataGrid.Columns.Add(test); My custom DataGridBoundColumn DataGridActiveImageColumn overrides the GenerateElement method to let it return an Image depending on whether the conversation it is called for is active or not. However: When there are more entries on the DataGrid then fit at any one time (and vertical scrollbars are added) the behavior with respect to the column for all the conversations is strange. The conversations that are initially loaded are correct, but when I use the scrollbar of the DataGrid conversations that enter the view seems to have a random status (although more inactive than active ones, which corresponds to the actual ratio). When I scroll back up, the active images of the Conversations initially shown (before scrolling) are not correct anymore as well. When I replace my custom DataGridBoundColumn class with (for instance) DataGridCheckBoxColumn it works as intended so my extension of the DataGridBoundColumn class must be incomplete. Personally I think it has something to do with the following: From the MSDN page on the GenerateElement method (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.windows.controls.datagridcolumn.generateelement%28VS.95%29.aspx): Return Value Type: System.Windows. FrameworkElement A new, read-only element that is bound to the column's Binding property value. I do return a new element (the image) but it is not bound to anything. I am not quite sure what I should do. Should I bind the Image to something? To what exactly? And why? (I have been experimenting, but was unsuccessful thus far, hence this post) Thanks in advance.

A strongly named application or component cannot reference a weak-named component, so strong-naming an EXE prevents the EXE from referencing weak-named DLLs that are deployed with the application. For this reason, the Visual Studio project system does not strong-name application EXEs. Instead, it strong-names the Application manifest, which internally points to the weak-named application EXE. I expected VS to avoid this problem, but I had no luck there, it complained about all the unsigned references, so I created a separate "WCF Service Library" project inside my solution containing only code above and signed that one. At this point entire solution compiled just okay. ASP.NET 3.5/C# Menu Control in Master Page fails to use CSS styles

I'm working on a web application that uses ASP.NET 3.5 and C#. Structurally, I have a master page with a menu control on it. The control serves as my navigation, and it gets its items from a SiteMapDataSource control and a corresponding Web.sitemap file. The problem is that some styles do not render properly when you specify the CssClass property. More specifically, the selected and hover styles don't respond to css styles. This seems true regardless of whether or not I include the style in the head of the master page or in an external file in default theme as specified in the web.config file. If I specify the styles in the asp.net xml like so: <asp:Menu ID="navMenu" Orientation="Horizontal" runat="server"> <StaticSelectedStyle BackColor="Green" Font-Underline="True" Font-Bold="True" /> <StaticHoverStyle BackColor="Gray" /> </asp:Menu> It appears to work properly in Firefox, but the style is never embedded in the html in Internet Explorer. Odd. Does anybody have any insight into what is causing this problem and how to neatly work around it? I'm aware I might be able to programmically determine the current page and select the corresponding menu item manually so it receives the proper style class, but before I resort to hacking C# and Javascript together to fix this functionality, I'm open to ideas. Need Help Setting an Image with Transparent Background to Clipboard

I need help setting a transparent image to the clipboard. I keep getting "handle is invalid". Basically, I need a "second set of eyes" to look over the following code. (The complete working project at ftp://missico.net/ImageVisualizer.zip.) This is an image Debug Visualizer class library, but I made the included project to run as an executable for testing. (Note that window is a toolbox window and show in taskbar is set to false.) I was tired of having to perform a screen capture on the toolbox window, open the screen capture with an image editor, and then deleting the background added because it was a screen capture. So I thought I would quickly put the transparent image onto the clipboard. Well, the problem is...no transparency support for Clipboard.SetImage. Google to the rescue...not quite. This is what I have so far. I pulled from a number of sources. See the code for the main reference. My problem is the "invalid handle" when using CF_DIBV5. Do I need to use BITMAPV5HEADER and CreateDIBitmap? How to tell Seam to inject a local EJB interface (SLSB) and not the remote EJB interface (SLSB)?

Hello, I am using Seam with JBoss AS. In my application I have a SLSB which is also declared as a seam component using the @Name annotation. I am trying to inject and use this SLSB in another seam component using the @In annotation. My problem is that sometimes Seam injects the local interface (then the code runs fine) and sometimes seam injects the remote interface (then there is an error in execution of the code). I have tried doing all the things specified on this link: http://docs.jboss.org/seam/2.2.0.GA/reference/en-US/html/configuration.html#config.integration.ejb.container The SeamInterceptor is configured, I have specified the jndi pattern in components.xml file ( < core:init debug="true" jndi-pattern="earName/#{ejbName}/local"/ ), I have also tried using the @JndiName("earName/ejbName/local") annotation for every SLSB, I have tried setting this property ( org.jboss.seam.core.init.jndiPattern=earName/#{ejbName}/local ) in the seam.properties file. I have also tried putting the text below in web.xml file <context-param> <param-name>org.jboss.seam.core.init.jndiPattern</param-name> <param-value>earName/#{ejbName}/local</param-value> </context-param> Even after doing all the above mentioned things, the seam still injects the remote interface sometimes. Am I missing something here? Can anyone tell me how to resolve this issue and tell seam to always inject the local interface? facebook iframe stream.Publish cannot close dialog or skip

am pulling my hair over this :( spent 10 hrs but nothing came out I read this thread http://forum.developers.facebook.com/viewtopic.php?pid=198128 but it didn't help much. I'm running a local dev App Engine server ( localhost:8080 ) iframe app so I have a couple of problems. 1) on safari 4.0.4, the publish story dialog comes up nicely with all images/data/action_links. upon posting a story (or skipping), the dialog goes blank and wouldn't close. 2) I tested the same code on firefox 3.5.8, the dialog comes up with all images/data/action_links, but then the whole thing freezes. Clicking anywhere on the dialog doesn't help at all. If i'm patient enough and click "publish", I have to wait for abt 10 seconds before the dialog says "story is published". then it freezes. (clicking on skip doesn't make a difference). btw, there is no "button clicking effect" : ie: the buttons don't look like they "sink down" upon clicking. I checked the firefox memory using the command "top" on the terminal, it all seems okay, no spike in CPU processes ( i could open other firefox tabs and work on them) My futile attempts at solving the problems... 1) so i thought, hmm could this be because of local dev (localhost) problem? I uploaded the code to the production server, the same thing happens. 2) I tried an older firefox (3.1) and the same problem persisted ( the freezing ) 3) I noticed that i kind of used 2 different FB features ( Connect and XFBML). The Connect Feature I used in the PostStory function. The XFBML feature I used before the tag. So I thought, hmm ... I tried replacing the FB_RequireFeatures["Connect"] feature with FB_RequireFeatures["XFBML"]. nothing changed. Multiple viewport problem

I'm setting up so I can switch between either one or four viewports but I got some trouble. In my bottom right viewport I got camera view, the same camera that I can switch to full view on. ModalPopupExtender and validation problems

The problem I am facing is that when there is validation on a page and I am trying to display a model pop-up, the pop-up is not getting displayed. And by using fire-bug I have noticed that an error is being thrown. The button that is used to display the pop-up has cause validation set to false so I am stuck as to what is causing the error. I have created a sample page to isolate the problem that I am having, any help would be greatly appreciated. jqGrid: sort by index

I am having trouble getting a column to sort by an index other than the 'name' value. In this case I am trying to sort the aggregation type column (values are days of the week) by the week order, rather than alphanumeric order. To do this I added an index column ('Aggregation type-index') that has the days of week an integers. However with this configuration, it fails to sort that column by index or name. Can someone point me the err in my ways? I posted all the js and css that is on the page, because I am also having two other issues, that if you notice the problem great, otherwise I'll keep hunting. I want to be able to enable the column reodering and be able to resize the grid (Both shown at http://trirand.com/blog/jqgrid/jqgrid.html under the new in 3.6 tab). Facebook require_login() in iFrame App

Hi, I have serious problem with iframe application. I need to use many external JS libraries and other dynamic stuuf so FMBL application can't be done. When I call require_login() I get applicaition installing dialog when app is not already installed, which is ok. But then after authorization application enters an endless redirect loop with parameters like auth_token, installed and so. Yesterday I managed to fix this, but today it's broken again... What the heck is happening with FB? It's driving me crazy to find a sollution, none of ones found on net doesn't seem to be working. I am developing an application using J2ME to send the GPS coordinates received to the server and i am new to developing client server application. Setting Session Variable from UpdatePanel

I am using ASP.NET 2.0 AJAX Extensions 1.0 with the version v1.0.20229 of the AJAX Control Toolkit (which to my knowledge is the latest for .NET 2.0/Visual Studio 2005). My web page (aspx) has a DropDownList control on an UpdatePanel. In the handler for the DropDownList's SelectedIndexChanged event I attempt to set a session variable. The first time the event is fired, I get a Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManagerParserErrorException: "The message received from the server could not be parsed". If I continue, subsequent SelectedIndexChanged's are handled successfully. I have stumbled upon a solution whereby if I initialise the session variable in my Page_Load (so the event handler is just setting the value of a session variable that already exists as opposed to creating a new one) the problem goes away. I'm happy to do this, but I'm curious as to exactly what the underlying cause is. Can anyone explain? (My suspicion is that setting the session variable receives a response from the server which is then returned to the 'caller', but it's not the sort of response it knows how to deal with causing the exception?) Javascript Noob Question. Need Help With Simple Script

Hi everyone, I am new to JavaScript (only a couple of days of reading a book) and I am stuck on this code snippet. I have looked at it over and over again but cannot seem to figure out why it is not working. I am sure it is something really simple that I have just looked over but I really just need a fresh pair of eyes to look at this. The code is supposed to update a placeholder image on a page without the page having to reload. But when I am clicking on the link of an image, it is taking me to the link where the image is located instead of replacing the placeholder image. FBML is not rendered in Facebook App in iframe - please help

I'm developing an Facebook Application in PHP. It's loaded as an iframe and not as FBML. The normal interaction with Facebook works. WCF client encrypt message to JAVA WS using username_token with message protection client policy

I am trying to create a WCF client APP that is consuming a JAVA WS that uses username_token with message protection client policy. There is a private key that is installed on the server and a public certificate file was exported from the JKS keystore file. I have installed the public key into certificate store via MMC under Personal certificates. I am trying to create a binding that will encrypt the message and pass the username as part of the payload. I have been researching and trying the different configurations for about a day now. What is the reason of "Transaction context in use by another session"

Hi, I'm looking for a description of the root of this error: "Transaction context in use by another session". I get it sometimes in one of my unittests so I can't provider repro code. But I wonder what is "by design" reason for the error. I've found this post: http://blogs.msdn.com/asiatech/archive/2009/08/10/system-transaction-may-fail-in-multiple-thread-environment.aspx and also that: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff649002.aspx But I can't understand what "Multiple threads sharing the same transaction in a transaction scope will cause the following exception: 'Transaction context in use by another session.' " means. All words are understandable but not the point. I actually can share a system transaction between threads. And there is even special mechanism for this - DependentTransaction class and Transaction.DependentClone method. I'm trying to reproduce a usecase from the first post: 1. Main thread creates DTC transaction, receives DependentTransaction (created using Transaction.Current.DependentClone on the main thread 2. Child thread 1 enlists in this DTC transaction by creating a transaction scope based on the dependent transaction (passed via constructor) 3. Child thread 1 opens a connection 4. Child thread 2 enlists in DTC transaction by creating a transaction scope based on the dependent transaction (passed via constructor) 5. But error is different: Unhandled Exception: System.Transactions.TransactionInDoubtException: The transaction is in doubt. --- pired. To sum up: I want to understand what "Transaction context in use by another session" means and how to reproduce it.
